Thank you for watching. Don't forget to support your local racetrack!!
Really could listen to him talk about racing for hours. Great job
I think we all could
I remember the night at East Windsor when your Dad lost his front tire leading the race yellow flag and went into the pits and came back out with one front tire and I believe he won the race never seen anything like that but I was amazed my man can wheel . Thanks for helping my friend jimmy B out when he went to dirt at New Egypt he's a good friend of mine
Great show with your dad. Just sittin at the table talking racing.😁
Could listen to Mr. Pauch talk all day
Miss the days when Billy was out racing and winning consistently and having fun at the track. He has some great stories and it is great seeing him on these pod casts. Some time you should get Billy and Jack Hewitt together to do a couple of these, that would be some fun conversations! My two favorite drivers together and not banging wheels but talking about the old days 😉
Thank you for the Idea, John
@Dirt Track Untold you are very welcome! Jack is always happy to do things like this too. He and Billy together would be hysterical I think. They didn't run constantly against each other but they did run against each other enough to have a lot of respect for each other.
So many fans think oh you won you made 10k on the big race they dont understand the cost and lets be honest to get to the level of making a living takes so time and effort not many have the fortitude to make a living doing what they love god love you guys so happy for this video
Attica does that bingo ball from watching Ryan Missler
Great podcast Mandee luv your dads view on racing and his life experiences
Great podcast. Love when you have your father on. So much knowledge.
Thank you for listening, glad you enjoyed it
Awesome video Mandy and Billy 👍👍
Another great podcast. Interesting topics and insight into some behind the scenes.
not all sprint car guys have the big souvenir trailers, some have merchandise vans. Some in late models have those big souvenir trailers, too, by the way.
I can think of Lucas Wolfe, Brock Zearfoss, Rico Abreu (at one point), Kyle Larson (now that can is with the Rudeen team), Dylan Westbrook in sprint car racing that have souvenir vans. I'm sure there's plenty of other drivers that have souvenir vans.
Thanks for another enjoyable video. It is a treat to see you and your father. I think he could read a phone book and I'd still watch.
LOL that would just be comedic
Love the video I've been watching you from your start and it was awesome to hear from your dad I've been there lots of love from Minnesota 💞😎
Great off the cuff episode, i am sure Matt is also doing this so the car is race trimmed out i would not be surprised if the setup is straight from him. When i raced we pushed the rulebook to the margins in the same way he is doing it with this. A driver can only race one car a night but no rules says he cannot have he backup car shaken out and ready if needed. Most times the backup car is used to make points up and seems like he istrying to use to for that and more.
Another great podcast! You and your dad really work well together!
Double exposure for the sponsors also
Great watch! Do more similar shows😊
This was awesome. Bp is a legend for sure
So glad you enjoyed it!!
I think the fans know about the draw. The driver who knows where the 1 hat is has to hope somebody else will get it first.
Great show
How about what does your dad think about the new modified setups with the coil springs and left side panhard bar?
Please start bring in dirt drivers. That would make a great series of pod cast.
Thank you
Great show guys
Thank you Rob
Plenty more of the last
I would love to help a race team.. being able to rent a race car would be dream come true
Mandee how do you think Tony Stewart felt running Sprint car with the All-stars at Eldora.
I do not know
Class Act I know exactly who he's talking about the man on the win every Friday night jjj ring a bell
Statewide 3... Jimmy Horton. From the days when Bridgeport was called Statewide Speedway. I liked Jimmy, but he shouldn't have raced at Statewide in the 3. His 43 was a good car, he could have run that at Bridgeport.
Dad....even though you gave me away to Mike my feet always know the way home and always will .
Lot of the outlaws is the driver pulls the traiker behind their motorhome
Yes they do
What race track was your dad favorite?
If you think they're cheating take them out that's the only way you're going to be to do take out
Great video and let's see if you think they are cheating why would people show up and support their product I can't imagine a promoter would do that no hmmm when we ran can am in the early 80s the promoter would give us 200$ show up money on a 500 to win show since we had a 230 mile tow to track Bob Thurston was him was that favoritism I don't think so he was trying to build car count and we had 6 ppl with us wasn't like a gift but sure helped us out a good deal
What was awesome the farmer directly a cross the street let us camp in his front yard oh boy those were the days people were so much friendlier
My bad was actually late 70s sorry I'm getting old
And obviously we didn't put in the hard work of getting backers so at that time we were jealous of the people with all the money instead of finding a way to get the money we ran out of our pocket obviously not a way to be able to make a career out of it way I look at it maybe we had some talent but lacked common sense
My advice to anyone realizing you may have a product that has value and sell it
And the product your selling is tax deductible
Been there we were leading and the second place car tried a move and spun out and we got blained for it and all helll broke lose knowing he was the track favorite. But I understand there is a lot of track favore tissm.
you should never have a car at a track or series you own/run---taking money from your drivers
And I definitely have seen the same cars start up front every week at certain tracks and that is impossible for the same cars to draw the top ten every week
If your car is good enough it doesn't matter where you start.
Yeah I have seen the bingo Ball roller cheated when you show up early every week and no one is standing there watching
