Musically, Dusk begins with an introduction setting the harmonic scene before giving rise to an ostinato figure (a repeated series of notes) that varies only subtly throughout the rest of the composition. This hypnotic repetition and compressed melodic range is an analogue for the subdued light at dusk as the world tends towards sleep.

Further to my last comment, on a light hearted note, I miss the long dusk of the UK. We live almost on the equator now (Singapore) and the sun sets so fast. It’s like Billy Connolly once said about the tropics ‘“It goes ‘Night!’ And you’re saying ‘what happened to tea-time?’”

The musical crescendo at 1:28 minute is great even if you repeat the same notes...I like this kind of effect. Relaxing me in a muffled world. So thanks for your deep intention.
Im listening to your music every morning now. Few songs have passed by and it seems that by looking out the window i see the life passing by. You can not not notice the morning sun shining on the trees and just generally touching them and climbing them inch by inch. Your music gives me a moment of appreciation. Its like the world is waiting while i will notice all the details out my window before it will continue its journey. The ability to see the one whole that we are with the nature is unbelievably beautiful. I think you have an antique view on one’s movement and expression of soul. I think trough your play you show the emotion of men and what and how a true man should express he’s feelings and gratitude towards life, air, earth, water, fire and hes family. It sets you back a bit in a way. You want the birds to wait for you, but you remember that you can’t fly. The music slows down the time to the point where we are not able not to think and thats when you look in the eyes of one’s self. The moment you do that you see if you are happy, moving towards the right path or not. And im happy. And i want to tell you thank you. Thank you for giving me a moment of appreciation.

@@LukeFaulkner yes, somewhat lol here it is : I don't read music to well but I hear it fast in my head and it's beautiful, if I could think it onto paper I believe I could write 100 sheets of music front and back a day, is that fast?
@@worldfamousgamer9191 Haha, never heard that question before! It sounds like your inner ear is accomplished and prolific. Probably worth learning to read music :) The actual writing part is pure graft though - I find it the most laborious part of the whole process. I will spend this evening writing out a waltz that I already have mapped out pretty much note for note in my head and hands.
