Exactly. 'Add me' creates a real time overlay on your screen from the first photo to be used for the second photo. It's not some type of editing tool for use on existing photos. Several tech-channels that got a hands on have since confirmed how this works. How C-Net doesn't understand this by now is pretty bizarre.

The only two things that still make me stay and will probably stay with Apple for the foreseeable future 1. Privacy. Google sells way too much of my information. At least they would sell my personal browsing history if I let them. 2. Seamless ecosystem with all my other devices. I can even answer my phone while I’m working on the Mac.
I don't agree at all. Apple and Google are copying each other and it's not a bad thing. One implements what the other did well and most of the time even improves it. The negative thing is that there are always fanboys who are not able to understand it and criticize the competition for doing so or laughing that the contender copied from your company, when they are really copying what your brand copied from theirs and so on... It is something very childish but if you have a critical spirit and you see that the rival did better or that "you expected more from your brand" then I think it will be better for everyone. I always say that there is no one OS better than the other, it depends on what you are looking for and what you use it for and the budget you have. And I'm telling you this as an _iPhone/MacBook_ user (obviously also _Win_ user), with a _Google _*_Pixel_* and an _Xperia_ too.

The last Apple events have been characterized by the presentation of unfinished (or even started) software, in iOS and macOS, which makes it really hard for Apple to have live demonstrations because they are announcing functionalities a year in advance, so they are late, and they have been late in the last 4-5 years. Maybe Apple needs a new CO or that we as consumers have a more critical attitude so they don’t take us for granted.

The crazy thing is Google can add 16GB RAM on the phones but not powerful processor. If pixel 9 pro has comes up with SD Gen 3 it will be the most powerful and intelligent phone in the world. But google obsession with their G chipset is holding their phones.

There are no problems. I'd recommend doing research on why Google chooses to use the tensor chip, which they have the power of designing over someone else like Qualcomm who Pre-Designs their chips. If Google decided to use Qualcomms pre-designed chips, that means that Google does not have the power to be able to customize their chipsets to what their goals are. Saying" if pixel 9 Pro has comes up with SD gen 3 ," is the exact same thing as saying" why can't Apple put a snap dragon gen 3 chip in their phones." It makes no sense.
You need ram for ai stuff and for your 100+ chrome tabs. Tpu-s for on device ai tricks like add me. But CPU is only for running apps which didn't evolve in the past years too much, contrary they're are saving more and more stuff about last session in cache memory further reducing CPU workload
Because 16GB ram is needed for AI and google is already good at making AI processors. But yeah, im not happy with the cpu & gpu power of tensor G chips
I really liked the live demo piece of googles presentation because it showed reality. These things are not flawless and yes it didn’t work perfectly but it won’t in reality for a while so it is good to manage expectations…. That is something Apple should also learn as the reality is that Apple intelligence will be drip fed out over a year or so if not more to get to where it was presented at WWDC. Btw I am not dissing apple as I am in the ecosystem (although I did order one of these new pixels to try).

If Apple did a folding phone it would probably be twice the cost. Just saying. And Add Me is isn't for adding people later in that sense. While you're stretching out that arm to grab a selfie of you and your friend without the majestic background, I'm going to be Adding Me when I take a picture of my friend and I in front of that majestic shot with that majesty in the background.

The crazy thing is Google can add 16GB RAM on the phones but not powerful processor. If pixel 9 pro has comes up with SD Gen 3 it will be the most powerful and intelligent phone in the world. But google obsession with their G chipset is holding their phones.
You really don't need a powerful processor to do simple tasks on a phone
@@manavaggarwal8374 I understand that the power user values things such as benchmarking and overall power in terms of competition. However, most people won't care about these niche functionalities. They just want a phone that's easy to use for everyday tasks. Theoretically, most top-tier phones work perfectly fine in terms of speed of opening apps, texting, calling people, watching videos, playing video games and etc. All the games that I play on my pixel 8 Pro work perfectly fine. There are no problems.
I'd recommend doing research on why Google chooses to use the tensor chip, which they have the power of designing over someone else like Qualcomm who Pre-Designs their chips. If Google decided to use Qualcomms pre-designed chips, that means that Google does not have the power to be able to customize their chipsets to what their goals are.

You need ram for ai stuff and for your 100+ chrome tabs. Tpu-s for on device ai tricks like add me.
But CPU is only for running apps which didn't evolve in the past years too much, contrary they're are saving more and more stuff about last session in cache memory further reducing CPU workload
Because 16GB ram is needed for AI and google is already good at making AI processors. But yeah, im not happy with the cpu & gpu power of tensor G chips

I really liked the live demo piece of googles presentation because it showed reality. These things are not flawless and yes it didn’t work perfectly but it won’t in reality for a while so it is good to manage expectations…. That is something Apple should also learn as the reality is that Apple intelligence will be drip fed out over a year or so if not more to get to where it was presented at WWDC. Btw I am not dissing apple as I am in the ecosystem (although I did order one of these new pixels to try).
