Just do it ( I threw that in). I fell more in love with my 460, knowing how I can save money and come to appreciate a simplicity that makes perfect sense for me to have traded my Tundra in for the GX460 For what it's worth, thanks so much guy.
well....to be honest. The difference between the tundra and GX is minimal. Keep in mind that a GX with over 100k miles needs to have its propeller shaft/drive train lubed before you get that infamous GX "thump" at a red light. It will feel like someone lightly tapped at your rear end every time you stopped. I've had several GX's and all the drive train failed due to it drying out. One of the most easiest maintenance but the most overlooked. Just FYI and congrats on your GX.

Hey Bob.. my 2015 gx does not read the key sometimes. I changed the battery but it still does it. All my other Toyota’s have no problem reading the key fob when the keys are in my pocket but the gx has trouble. I have to take the key out and touch the power button with it from time to time. Do you know what it could be?
I would open up your keyfob and look for signs of water damage (crusty white and green powder). I would also have a locksmith (ones that have access to programming software) or last resort have the dealer reprogram your keys to your car. Its either waterlogged or been hit around one too many times, Diane. Hope that helps.

This happens a lot to my car, I use this method to 'sync the fob' (sounds like a good song title). I have replaced my fob battery 2 times in the last 3 months. That seems excessive.
If you have the key fob in your pocket or your purse and there is an object thats pressing against the buttons, this could be a potential reason why you're replacing your batteries excessively. Watch out for that. That happened to me where the remote batteries didn't have enough power to lock and unlock my car to a close distance. I carry my remote in my pocket with other keys in it.

Two years after the design change, they make additional changes after all the "kinks" have been reported or complained by the new owners. They'll receive a bunch of complaints to the dealerships about what is loose or what makes noise, etc....The dealer then sends that list to the manufacturer for changes.

Good to know. Working on a GX 460 hard to take out of park and put back into park. Change the cable. Cable moves freely when It’s not connected at transmission. feels like inside transmission please advise. Trying to lube outside of through shaft but is still very tight and tight sounding when I put a 12 mm wrench on through shaft.,.

Recently I had an error message come on that the key fob wasn't detected while the key fob was in the car and the vehicle was running and then the next day had a similar issue you described in your video. I have not had any low remote battery light messages. Pretty strange.
Hi BOB, we bought a brand new 2021 Lexus GX460 two weeks ago , it has only 150 miles now, after 5 days from purchasing the vehicle we noticed that the GPS screen start to glitching and not responding , yesterday on our way to the park the check engine light comes on and the engine stopped , I tried to start it again but it didn’t start, we towed to the dealership and we’re very disappointed about that , still waiting the result from Lexus dealership!!!!!

Hi Bob , I got my car back after staying few days at the dealership, they couldn’t find the problem because the check engine light went off by it self once the car arrives to the service department, I met with the mechanic to ask him if he figure out something about the problem and he told me (( I couldn’t find any problem but all what I can tell you that this car had a hiccup )) LOL !

I would have thought the gx would have given you a warning before the key fob battery got that low. I have an old acura that the mid screen give a low key battery warning before the fob battery gets so weak as not to be recognized by the car. Might want to check a dying alternator. Run a tester to your batter with your engine on and off.
Mine(2018) just indicates remote battery low on dash. Battery type: 1632 disc
