I really like these videos. Very informative and helps me figure out what toys I need next. Whoever came up with the idea for these videos deserves a big bonus in my opinion : )
I can't say enough about comparator gauges! Hornady makes a very usable set, and brownells/sinclair has a cool hex shaped tool. It's nice to know what your dies are actually DOING. I haven't ran into problems mixing shell holders.. yet.. but I always know how long my cases are! Another problem folks run into is "touching the shellholder" when the press is NOT under load from sizing. I had that problem early on. When there was actual brass in the die, the shell holder was then a few thou below- you could see light in the gap. Learned real quick to measure them!
Great video and advice for new reloaders, and even old reloaders that didnt know this tid bit of information. VERY valuable info, glad you did a video about it. I learned many decades ago about the different heights of shell holders. I learned it back when nobody even knew anything about what case bumping was.
Great tip Steve! I was taught that the holder and dies must be same manufacturer so to date have had few issues. I will order that Redding holder set, I have friends that have complained about the scenarios you mentioned and perhaps next time it comes up I can help out and Redding can sell another set.
I have been reloading 30 years and did not know that, thank you heaps
Never have had this problem but now I'll keep that one under my cap.
GREAT advice . . . and a great product I never knew existed. THANKS.
Thanks for watching!

Let's have a quick tip on where to find a good stable supply of primers!
I haven’t seen anyone talk about using the competition shell holders to tune seating depth. It works to adjust seating depth.

some lee shell holders do not size correctly even using lee dies
thanks for the tip about redding dies
Good info. Thanks.
Thanks for watching!
I got something I am puzzled about. I got 30 30 cases from the sixtys . Fired and unfired. Neither will go into the no2 shell holder. Why?
This is exactly why all dies should come with shell holders.
Is that an AT4 in his safe! I didn't hear anything he said after I saw that.
Lee Dies will not push the shoulder back!
Read your manual. That’s what I learned today.
Good information but what I really like is what looks like a rocket launcher in the gun safe.
They recently did a video on that. It's inert but the video is informative.
