Reminds this trumpeter of mafiating days in Orlando back in the 80's during the Kool Jazz Festivals. Jam sessions all over town, just hop in and play. Personally knowing Maynard Ferguson and several of his second horns was nothing less than kool itself. This group is quite interesting. I wish them the best, do they have an album yet ? Keep up the work and the practice and the studio ! A friend always !

Not bad. What is this, just a group of neighborhood guys playing? My only friendly suggestion is to work on intonation. There were a lot of notes being blown out of tune. It's particularly noticeable when everyone is playing the same note, some flat, some sharp. It typically happens on the higher notes. Those are always the ones that are easiest to blow out of tune because the frequencies become so close together between notes.

It's much better to play low and in tune with a good sound than to play high and out of tune with a really thin sound. The plaid jacketed trumpet player seemed to really grasp this concept as well as the importance of playing in time and following the changes and I really appreciated it
Can someone explain the scenery of this performance? Is it the actual home of one of the band members?? By the way, the third trumpet player had the mellowest tone.
The home is of a neighbor who was part of the original group that decided to help musicians get paying gigs at the tail end of the pandemic shutdown. He'd be having occasional porch concerts around Mardi Gras and that was sort of the seed impetus for our (now) ongoing porch concerts.
