In our family, we don't do gifts for adults at all, and the kiddies do a secret Santa . There are seven cousins , so they only gift to one person and the budget is £15. Each cousin makes a wishlist and the cousins range from 5yrs to 15yrs. It's the highlight of their Christmas! They all come to ours on Christmas morning, we are the grandparents, and exchange the secret Santa gift. There's always huge excitement and joy in the occasion 😊😊.
I’m in my 70’s I never got asked what I would like for Christmas, whatever I got was always wanted, we had Christmas stockings of chocolate that were so heavy, the contents went into a tin in the under stairs cupboard and we were allowed to choose 1 item every now and again, simple presents like painting by numbers, jigsaws, little leather sewing kits, our tree went up a few days before the big day and things felt really magical, so different from todays family’s celebrations. I agree with all your tip on how to have a “thriftiness” and not a “skintmass” The best presents are the “thoughtful” ones, and if you can’t afford to buy gifts for family or friends going for a coffee, a slice of cake and a catch-up could be thought of as a present, the memories are far more important than the gifts which are rarely remembered.
Every few years we declare a mainly handmade items Christmas. One year daughter got a doll, from the store, and a wardrobe of clothing for it. She got a loft bed for it identical to the one my husband made for her. I made identical sheets using the pillowcase.
I've a tip, for anyone in rented housing, check up in the loft.....bet there's a Christmas tree and some decs left up there from a previous tenant. I've found them at all my houses :) - and they're vintage, which is in right nw :)
Tree decoration party. We have appetizers that are time consuming so they don't get made unless it's a special occasion. Listen to music. Have eggnog and cocoa. Daughter looks forward to it.
To save money on Roblox while still enjoying the platform, here are some strategies you can follow: 1. Check for Sales and Promotions Seasonal Sales: Roblox sometimes offers discounts during special events like Black Friday, summer sales, or holiday events. Keep an eye out for these. Developer Sales: Some developers run sales or events where you can get in-game items at a lower cost. 2. Avoid Unnecessary Spending Budget Your Robux: Avoid impulse purchases. Keep track of how much Robux you have, and plan purchases around special events or when you really need something. Free Items: Check the Roblox Avatar Shop for free items. Many developers also offer free in-game items during events. By using these strategies, you can maximize your Robux without spending too much real money. 3. Ask relatives and friends to purchase Roblox giftcards (from Supermarkets etc) as gifts, instead of other less preferred items.
@BLK2000 - If it's anything like the games we used to play, there are seasonal events. At the very least, they will have a sale on the items he buys with the digital currency
