  • The Highest-Level Traditional Comb made from a Rare Type of Wood and its Incredible Effect on your Hair.
    #japanesewoodworking #rarewood #comb
Traditional comb made from rare wood, it has long been the highest class of Combs and its incredible effect on your hair.
There is an old saying in Japan that beautiful hair can make any woman beautiful. When an archeological excavation discovered a 7000-year-old comb, it seemed to imply this way of thinking has been around for a long time. As a matter of fact, Japanese women put much effort into maintaining dark and luscious hair
The superior quality of these materials allows the comb to slide smoothly and gently down your hair. It is said that continuous usage of a Tsuge comb may help to improve hair texture as well.
In particular, a Tsuge-comb, which is carefully made by skilled craftsmen using a domestic Tsuge, changes its appearance to a beautiful reddish-brown color and becomes smoother and smoother as it is worn.
    Tsugegushi comes in two forms:
    - The Tategushi or vertical combs where the handle is parallel to the teeth and the Yokogushi or horizontal combs, which has a handle that runs perpendicular to the teeth.
Although expensive, it is durable and easy to use, so it is often passed down from parent to child.

I bought one a week ago pretty reasonable. I wasn't going to break the bank on a comb, and honestly I wasn't expecting much. But it is INSANE how much of a difference it has made

Beautiful combs. Skilled workers. Perfect machines. Thank you for your dedication to this Art. My favorite was the wiggle motion of back sander.

These are lovely but I'd have prefered to have seen it done by hand not machine.

Anyone know how to clean the wooden comb?

just soak it in warm water mixed with mild soap for 3 minutes. after that gently wipe any dirt and running a small piece of cloth through each tine from the comb. If residue left, scrub the comb gently with an old toothbrush

Well somebody explain how my two daughters grew up on plastic $1 Walmart combs and have perfect shiny hair in their adulthood now ?

      Propaganda?

Find all the factors that produce perfect, shiny hair and see how many were/are part of your daughters lives. Diet and regular brushing are well-known beneficial factors, but you may find others, e.g. genes. Some people smoke from their early teens well into their nineties, but don't die from tobacco-related diseases. That doesn't mean smoking tobacco is not detrimental. Nor does it mean that non-smoking will be of no benefit to ones health.

Shampoo and conditioner. Boxwood combs were designed for people who didn't wash their hair, they usually just put hair oil the comb was designed for that use.
