Parker's got a lot of stuff to do off the show. He has a foreman that he trusts to get stuff done while he's away. Like Dean said, he's been building pads and berms for 30 years, so should have built the pad large enough to take the machine planned to go on it. No excuses for him.

Why didn't they get all the measurements And all that logistics in place. Where what piece of equipment was going to be And what area it needs to operate. Wow! Could have been avoided. And why didn't one of the employees not see that it was not going to fit and say something. Did they want him to fail to get rid of him?. Crazy! I'm sure that one of them knew it was too small.

Well they’re both at fault. I’d say it’s still more on the foreman though. I mean, if you’re building a pad and it’s not even close to being big enough, wouldn’t he think “dang this looks a little small. Let me stop and do some measurements.” Instead of just pushing around dirt like a horse with blinders, gotta think about what you’re doing. Goes for Parker to. Can’t just tell someone to go so something without a detailed plan and you definitely don’t show up at the very end and then measure. He’s got his money invested in it so even if he’s gotta micromanage, that’s better than ending behind still and losing help

🤔 Interesting method to measure after the fact. You’d think measurements should be taken prior to starting a project to avoid issues like this. Parker’s complete lack of management skills seem to be the main issue. You never see these types of problems with Tony Beets operations.

Dean was in the wrong 100 cement. If your boss doesn’t tell you the measurements and you built it exactly wide enough for the big red you would say something when the boss complains about the measurement. Also those saying “they’ve got heavy machinery it wouldn’t take long to fix” it would take 2-3 days as they need to make the foundation stable enough for the loaders, the dozers, the dumps and the excavator. At 150 dollars a minute which is how much money is wasted on excavation 170,000 is lost each day when nothing is running now add that for 3 extra days they have to spend a lot on gasoline for the extra trips to keep dumping to create twice as wide of a space that’s 500k lost in 3 days. After dean quit everything started running like clockwork on the site yet people claim Parker was the problem. Pure copium the boss isn’t at fault for everything that ever goes wrong ever with 30+ years of experience he should realise ”hmmm I built this road exactly the width of big red maybe I should make some space so we can actually pass it and do the work”.
