Its not that hard to make a remote shutdown button. He has to drive his loader all the way to the machine panel and shut it off, he could also have a remote controller panel.
Shoveled for a half hour, then went to see Parker, was told to get in touch with the mechanic, got in touch with the mechanic, then wait for mechanic to show up, find problem, leave to get replacement belt, return and install belt. I doubt he had the belts needed in his truck. All that considered, that’s not bad at all.
So it took Shane and newbie half an hour to shovel and unclog conveyor, but it took two hours until the maintenance guy decided to change the belt. Who really cost Parker lost time?.
Number 1: They are not allowed to interfere. Number 2: It’s an insurance liability. Not rocket science people. Just common sense which apparently isn’t so common.
Mister Bean Well, he's learned the business from the ground up, every little detail is working fluently. You see how quickly they changed that motor belt? Had it readily accessible. Had a mechanic that knew the exact problem. How many times have we not seen in this show earlier, Todd crew missing a little part, have to wait a day or two to get it? It's a business, you have to know every little detail, and you just cannot know that unless 1) You have been born into it, hand trained and has an interest to make money, or 2) You are a business genius that has money to invest, and learn incredibly fast, with very high leadership skill.
Seems like if they reversed to motors it would be easier to fix that mess...even if they could just bump it back and forth....i think its called a barel switch.
That man is a fine worker. He earns his pay, and takes responsibility. That 10k bucks you lost was worth every penny for a worker like that.
You do realize this is scripted, right? You can tell the guy who messed big red up wasn't bothered by it.

Why didn’t he call Smith first? Would you tell your boss before maintenance and at least have them checking it out?
Why not use a mud guard to prevent wet material from sliding backwards and jamming the belt?
Why doesn’t he have someone to watch the process. A little more money on personnel would pay off in the long run. In my opinion.
i think it would alredy be enough to invest in an wireless shutdown button and an wirelss camera for the loader driver
@@lucabke Who is going to sit and monitor that all day?
More like it was done on purpose because they are running out of things to put on the show

Parker better keep Shane smith on a generous payroll, guys a genius.
They should have vulcanised a chevron conveyor belt, this conveyor belt is not adquate for the transporter angle, especially not for wet material.
I like how the camera men could have stopped it but they just watched
Camera operators are not allowed to interfere, unless it’s a life threatening situation.
@@TheRealJohnMelendez this is correct
Thats how they make a tv show

Parker is already a multi millionaire.
Look, I love the show but you guys seem to be struggling to find a problem to make an episode from.
Most of the operation is mundane transporting of material. They have to create or simulate issues for drama.
I cringe when I see people climb the conveyor without a harness. If mud is slipping down the conveyor, people could slip too I would assume

Parker's crew screws up by filming the cameraman every 5 seconds.
I didn’t know a conveyor sounds like a lawn mower 😂

he could but then you wouldn't have a show.

litterally a 15 min job max
