Of all the vids on this bandage and I've seen most, this is the only one that tells the injury should be between the pressure bar and the label. Then put the first wrap the the pressure bar and pull toward the injury thereby putting more pressure over the injury. The one thing missed was to wrap above and below the pressure bar covering exposed edges of the gauze pad itself. If left till the end to do this you may run out of bandage. This will also help prevent the bandage from rotating over the injury when put thru the pressure bar and pulled in the opposite direction. Putting a haemostatic agent on the IB itself would help in some cases.

Is the rotation of the bar in the last example able to apply enough pressure like a real tourniquet in order to stop the blood flow into an arm/leg? Should it be placed slightly above the injury in some cases? Can it help with an arterial injury?
Yes can be used as an improvised TQ but a proper TQ is ideal. As a TQ it should be placed high and horizontal on the limb, not on the wound itself. Could be used in conjuction with wound packing and TQ deescalation.

I watch these videos because I camp with a kid in Canada. as she gets older we will be doing more wilderness camping. It's always good to review first aid skills in order to help a wounded person until we can get medical care. Okay I'm a crazy cautious mommy, but my kid won't be the one who bleeds to death if a bear attacks or she falls. Unfortunately I may have caused a panick because I wanted a list of gas ( petroleum) stations with generators in case of a black out. like I said I'm a super cautious mom.
Never knew hemerage was bleeding untill i called 911 with stomach cramps thinking that because my stomach was cramping and pulsing it was a hemerage funny.
I was expecting to see the neck wound dressing that is on the main picture. Instead I saw dressing a head wound and a leg wound. False advertising. Still, looks a good bandage.

Really great video. Learned alot. Turning it into a improvised tourniquet was very good.

how do you apply it if there is a bleeding just under the inguinal ligament?
Pack the wound first probably ?
