I honestly can’t believe they put Andrew Jackson in the top half of the list.
Woodrow Wilson too.
IKR andrew jackson was a racist pig who forced the natives in a trail of tears.
maybe the fact he let the public attend White House parties made him more popular than he deserved i.e. being on the 20 dollar bill

Joe Biden win this category hands down, with Obama as a close runner up!
@Kent cyclist and your Albert Einstein. 🤪
I remember a historian talking about Buchanan and saying at every fork in the political journey he took the wrong turn which is by chance alone, almost impossible to do.
No. Biden is doing it now. Maybe he is modeling himself after Buchanan and doing much more damage.
@@Lucia-sy7le you can't judge Biden unless his presidential term has finished. Stop rating presidents 100% on your bias
@@sapnamukherjee6716 I'm not judging him anymore. This is a most recent development. The Wikipedia jumps on the rating scale when the president turns the keys over. Only time can tell the merits or faults of a presidency. Everyone loved JFK. He became an idol for many. I am not minimizing the tragedy of death. Usually for a president to be considered among the worst of all time it gets to the point that their own party is ashamed of them. Biden is not even close to that point
Buchanan really lost his “worst president” title to a Cheeto wearing a wig
Drumph: Worst President?; Hold my diet coke!
He isn't the worst, he's just the most controversial
@@carlosortega4880 He is the worst. It's official.
@@jdsthird really? I mean he didn't get us in a great depression, he nearly got us into a war but luckily we didn't, but he is a racist but lots of presidents were racist, he's a liar most of the time, and yeah the mob made him look like a villain. But calling him the worst even though we had George W Bush, James Buchanan, Woodrow Wilson, and Herbert Hoover, it's a bit too far
@@carlosortega4880 History will remember him as the worst and rightfully so. You can not incite an insurrection to overthrow a coequal branch of government (legislative) when you are the president for ALL Americans, not just 35%. All of it was built on the big lie that the election was not fair because he'd rather have just the white votes count, not the black and brown. His tenor and tone over the last 4 years leaves the nation more divided than ever.
With two (2) impeachments under his belt and the second one the most bipartisan in history, Don the Con has cemented his legacy and place in history. He will not be remembered kindly and he makes all the other presidents look like heroes.
Yeah I think that after today it's going to be hard to make an argument that the worst president could be anyone other than the 45th.
Nah bro, that title is quite competitive. We have so many presidents in favor of genocide that Reaganomics and discrimination of minority civil rights only puts you in the bottom 10
Donald Trump has not started a full scale Civil War thay killed over 600,000 Americans
Donald Trump still has a solid lock on #2 if only just barely
by miles and miles. makes Nixon look like Jesus himself. Trump was a perfect 10 loser.
It would had been Biden had he been elected and not cheated his way in.
Historians back then: “James Buchanan was the worst President in American history.”
Donald Trump: “Hold my Diet Coke.”
Anybody know where i can find those Presidents figures?
Buchanan no longer holds the prestigious award of being the "Worst" President. Maybe 2nd...
Exactly .... Chump is far worse than Buchanan and will let Buchanan rest in peace now. Chump will hold last place for a long time and possibly forever.
Actually, a distant second in terms of criminal mind and conduct.
Buchanan was indecisive, stubborn and made poor choices, but he wasn’t a lier, grifter or fifth columnists; Trump is all that and more and, hopefully, will be prosecuted for sedition.

Knock on wood.
Perhaps you contradict yourself
It's your constitution and respect for freedom (especially economic freedom). Brazil has great natural resources and geography but we are a fucked up socialist nation.
It takes more than one man or even many to break an entire nation of millions.
Sean Westbrook one man can break a whole nation. It's the checks and balances that prevents America's downfall and our overpowered military

You need to update the video now.
I mean Trump is a horrible president but at least he didn’t help to escalate a civil war like Buchanan
Yeah, he sure did. He did everything he could to increase the divide, hate, and partisan rhetoric in this country, and I only hope he didn't succeed in dividing us too far. He tried; I just hope he doesn't succeed.
@@ATLockhart He is the one providing law and order.

The division in this country started with the previous administration and the liberal boot licking Antifa and BLM has widened the divide so far it will NEVER be fixed. Biden will complete the destruction of our democracy.
To be fair Buchanan took office when relations between North and South were deteriorating and reconciliation would have been a miracle. It would have taken a one in a million politician to prevent war.
I agree. Buchanan simply was in the wrong place at the wrong time. His presidency was judged largely on decisions and events that were out of his control (e.g. Dred Scott, John Brown, etc..).
Or DC could have just allowed the confederate states to secede.
@@SSs-ch4ey Allow the county to break apart? Most federal governments would never allow that. As a leader you need to protect your territory or you might not have a county. If states secede you pretty much can't have a United States anymore.

Buchanan's leadership almost brought the US into open warfare with England. Check out the Pig War of 1859 for a taste of just how bad Buchanan was at being president. He was the First Gay president too, but really that is not pushed forwards by LGBTQ+ advocates just because its Buchanan.
