There must be a thousand recipes for dough ball. I never caught any monster carp, but I caught a fair number in the thirty-five to forty pound range. I caught one of the largest with dough ball that was nothing but cornmeal, flour, and a lot of garlic powder. I tried mixing Wheaties rather than the garlic, and caught several large carp in a couple of days. I tried corn, though in bigger pieces than you use, and it worked well, too. Anyway, I finally found four three recipes that work best for carp, one with liquid molasses for carp, and one, with Jell-O, that works best for catfish. Which to use for carp depends on water conditions. Seems like we each have a favorite, and many keep that favorite secret, and they all seem to work pretty well.
You are welcome. Glad it worked well for you. If you leave out the jello, it's likely to attract only carp. With the Jello you get both the channel cats and carp.
I was fishing with some friends and a guy came up to us and said the little pond we were fishing on has monster carp and he said he’s caught some using this exact recipe and he gave me the video so I’m going to try this tomorrow when I go fishing again
Instead of using parchment paper use cheese cloth it works better plus if it gets to dry you can dip the dough ball in hot or cold water to soften it up .

Thanks for sharing man, awsome bait. Would you ever take bits of it use it as chum???
jjust use creamed corn instead
How well does it stay on the hook?
Does it float?
What size hook do you use? Also, do they last long in the water???
#4 for carp hook. I bet this will sling off in a hurry.
Will cream corn work
Cream corn will work. Just use less water like 3/4 cup or the dough will be super sticky and not hold on the hook as well. Hope this helps.
Way too much stuff
