The Base Camp is like an ugly girlfriend. She’s beautiful and fun when it’s just you and her sunbathing on the rocks with nobody around. Then your friends show up with their girlfriends and you act like you don’t know her anymore. Well, I like ugly chicks so I’ld be proud to own a Base Camp.

Can you do a build video of how to convert axial locked diffs to unlocked diffs in an axial truck so we can convert the truck to a fast on road truck.
Got the Axial SCX III GREY JLU RTR last year. Still runs and looks great. When you compare the bodies, this base camp looks like it was made in China.🤣
The latest Axials don’t feel like Axial rigs at all. More and more they feel like the Vaterra/Losi rigs and designs. From cast aluminum parts to super flexible nylon plastics.

I have a 74 bronco body and white steel wheels and am wanting to build a more scale crawler...would you recommend the scx10 ii or the basecamp as a chassis?

Element switched to surpass? I have a surpass 4.5 turn motor and mamba x on my basher. It's a screamer. Dunno about the esc, but their quality seemed to be there
Yeah they switched a year or two ago on their brushed ESC's. No idea about their Reedy brushless stuff.
The front wheels rub bad when turning
so if you like the DEABOLT it would be best to get the BASECAMP and put a deadbolt body on it ?

Kinda unrelated to the video/stream, but thinking about switching my Enduro to run 4s just for a little more oomph and some 'end of the run lunacy'... What brushed ESC options are available, thinking BR-XL, but are their better options around the same price point or a bit cheaper?
After tax almost $400 I would rather have a redcat if it’s gonna look like that- base level at that price come on horizon

It just clicked, I knew I saved the Falken tire livery G6 Jeep body for a reason, it’s going on the base camp and staying original.
Definitely agree with ya on the Ozark series. I finally broke down and binged the whole Game of Thrones series and it was actually pretty cool show.
Cut the front fender to line up with new front bumper position, that would make it look clean!! I am digging this body a little, my brain wants to see a Tacoma so it's a little funky but overall I think it looks good!!

Too big.
Like every other crawler, the tires are too big and the axles are too wide, or the bodies are too narrow. It's like they all want to be Bigfoots. They should make the axles normal width and you could add spacers if you want them to stick out a mile. My Axial SCX III GREY JLU RTR came with 48 inch tires, changed them right away.

What is the most scale street legal looking 1/10 truck out of the box?
Probably something from RC4WD.
I got the Axial SCX III GREY JLU RTR last year and it looks very realistic. Most have too wide of axles and the tires stick out a mile. I put smaller tires on mine and looks more scale. The tires that came with it are too big. That Traxxas Bronco and Blazer look pretty realistic. This Base Camp would be a good platform because it has a 12.3 inch wheelbase and a lot of bodies will fit it.

@@tomcook5813 the Coyote Carisma tires, I believe they're 3 3/4 inches.
