Thanks for the video John. You've been a great inspiration and entertainment for me way before the first lockdown. It is very comforting to watch an old cowboy think as he works and almost see the years of experience ooze into your jobs.
John Ihave the same burnisher I use on wood. I too found the handle piss poor. I ditched the elbow and fittedthe black handle vertically . I use it a lot for giving an aged look on oak beams etc and its comfortable enough. Regards Stuart Bell
Best part of your video's..... your accent. I've worked with all kinds, micks, paddies, scousers, jocks..... and the best are from the Toon. Every time, hardest working guys and girls I know. That thing looks perfect for removing klingons and tagnuts...
Just what you needed to clean up the plasma cut outs you make. Looks like it would be nice for sanding and polishing any large surface. I'm sure it will save you some time. Take Care and Stay Safe. Bob
I don't forthjr most part watch tool reviews but this one did interest me as I've no experience of this type of tool and the mag vice (of which, I own one) tip is a bonus! Thank you John.
This looks like the $90.00 machine from China. Seems like a descent tool. I believe it has a 12.7 amp motor (1400 watt), not the 9amp Harbor Freight etc does. The standard fitment for many of these tools is for a drum 4" x 4" x 0.75" (19mm). Does the one you have measure those dimensions? I need to buff/polish (600+grit) and am also looking for a wool flap drum that will finish it mirror smooth. Thanks.
At least it has the rat-tail grip so you can get a decent hold of it. I'm not a fan of the ones that have body mounted slide or paddle switches... *edit* I'd cut that plug off and fit a proper UK one instead of using that "deathdapter" I just spotted at the end.!
Idea - The heat affected colouring on that bird looked nice. Flame treating then lacquering could be a nice touch. I'm getting all 'Arty' in me old age ...
Polishing a squirrel's butt and buffing a bird's tail. That makes you Mother Natures' clean up man... Great video. Our best to you and your family.

That looks like a really usefull tool, which I have never seen before. Many thanks for the review.

What level of abrasive would you compare it to? Is it a power equivalent of hitting wood with steel wool? 00? 000?

Perfect tool for cleaning up plasma jobs. Nice review, John.
Obviously a modification to a standard polisher, ref lower RPM, but works well. Nice honest review as per normal John.
Thanks for sharing.
Do you still have to knock the slag off from the plasma cutter before using that tool?
Question is whether the rollers will be available at a decent price when they inevitably discontinue this tool in 6 months time ?
It does seem a reasonable bit of kit John... I liked your idea of using the magnetic chuck to hold the workpiece...
Not a very good chuck - he shouldn't be able to lift those off the chuck without turning the chuck off !
@@millomweb That is why it is used for this purpose
@@doubleboost I know we have a weak one and a strong one - never really examined the weak one for a fault - or whether it's just tired magnets.

Nice job, I liked the Squirrel cutout👍
Would this be any good for wood finishing , sanding off rough does it leave smooth ? Thanks
Seems like decent enough tool. You can get scotchbrite wheels for angle grinders too. Good honest review. Best wishes to you and yours.
Useful tool John all the best 👍👨🏻🏭
New tool for me. Looks like something I could use. Thanks, John.
Are the rollers proprietry or are they available from the likes of 3M and other manufacturers?
They are available from most engineers supply type companies
I was surprised to see an Ozzy three pin plug on it,good review John.
we use 1 in the workshop to dress stainless steel , puts the brush marks back into it after its welded and cleaned down,
Thanks for the review, John. Looks like a very useful tool.
Very good review John good burnishing machine as well.
Works well. Great review. Thank you for sharing.
Seems like a good tool! Maybe you could polish up that magnetic chuck!! Lol. Thanks for the review John!
What is the best rpm range for aluminum brushing?
Thanks for the review John, looks good.
Good honest review John as always. That looks like a useful tool. Joe
you may want to get on to banggood and let them know that is not legal for sale in the uk without the uk 3 pin plug fitted . looks a good tool tho
Thanks for another nice video. Please take care with that squirrel : it’s at an ideal height to take your eye out on a dark evening ...
Looks a good tool, all the best : ).
nice review John..i'll be buying one straight away :)
That is the way I would have the handle and I'm right handed .
same here
Not just us then lol
This is really interesting ! I'm left handed and would have it that way too. For info, it's the same side as a chainsaw handle is.
Maybe John is ambidextrous lol, but thinks he is lefty.
Righty her and I'd have it set up that way.
I give it 3 days before every piece of metalwork in John's shop is polished to a shine
What kind of grit wheel is used?

Very handy piece of kit.
Love these reviews. Wonder if you can you get an adaptor for a standard angle grinder with shield? From Bangood of course...
Nice job John 🙂☕
Are the abrasives fine enough for aluminium regards Alan.
There are various grades available. I use mine on Aluminium.
I bought some rusty animals off Etsy
I find with postage, eBay better for power tools. Bangood good for smaller items
Another great review. Thank you.
Cheers for the review.
Harbor Freight has them now

Flame treating then lacquering could be a nice touch.
I'm getting all 'Arty' in me old age ...
👍
The spindle looks exactly the same size as a toilet roll holder.
That should save you a Lot of time (nice mag-vise too). Now we need to work on your choice of chair. You seem like too nice a guy to be need an anvil!
as per brill
Squirrels. AKA tree rats.
Can it polish a turd though ? :-)
Buy one and try it on your chin .
Good demostration. Found interest in the tool. Thanks.
