Sir, I can't tell you how many times that I have viewed this video in the past few days. What an excellent demonstration and performance! Wow! Thank You!
Happened on this. I'd forgotten how good the XW-P1 sounds. I never hear myself this well in the band mix, and take the sound for granted. My yearnings for some new clone has evaporated. Thanks, Casio!
After hearing several demos I am going with the EH Lester K. Much more affordable and with compression and drive built in it's got ya covered. Ventilator is very nice also. Just wanted to say I bought the XW-P1 recently in mint condition for little of nothing and have found myself blown away by it. As a compliment to my Yamaha equipment it is a beast! This unusual board has a charactor all it's own. It just has nothing in common with my other equipment and adds unbelievable options I wouldn't have without it. Even if you have the "good stuff" don't hesitate to grab one of these if you find one in good shape cheap. Absolute blast! It has only one port for a pedal, but I am using vol & sus from my 88 key controller board and using an eight dollar pedal as a slow/fast switch for the rotory effect. Pretty cool. Almost impossible on the Yamahas. And the analog sounds, Dang! Yeah, love this little hidden gem. You do HAVE to go in and learn to "tweak" it for the buried treasure, but it's there. Anyway, great job Ed!!
I agree about the XW-P1's uniqueness and personality. There's just this feeling of something joyful to actually play and it sparks extra inspiration. I have several other larger prized workstations/synths.
This sounds awesome, but remember that the Neo Ventilator also costs $500. If you go this route, starting from scratch, you double the price of the keyboard to something near the price of dedicated clonewheels.
This is one of Casio's more interesting, least talked about keyboards. I've seen a few on sale for about $350. I'd get one if I was made of money but I plan on getting the CTS 1000 since it's on sale for a more reasonable price. Those new Casiotone key beds are a vast improvement over the CTX 3000's (it has taken two years to get used to it's plasticky click-ckackiness). Some features, like a sampler, and DSPs, and a 16 track sequencer should be standard. Also, an SD card slot, basic sample editing, and a step sequencer would be nice. I won't mention pads. Casio has been fairly generous with DSPs (don't let up), unlike Yamaha. And the felt strip like on the CTS 1 should also be standard. How do you justify not adding felt to a higher priced model?
Did you disable the XW-P1 Effects (leslie) to use the Ventilator ? I have a Ventilator (Gen.1) and a GSi Burn. I'm planning on using one of these with the XW-P1 and using a Kawai VPC1 as my controller for pianos and such.
Disable the DSP effect for the organ voice so that you get a true sound, if you don't the sound will be all off because it's doubling up with your Leslie emulator. I have an XW-P1 and a GSI burn and I am loving that.
Well we'll go on Casio. Here's a guy awfully familiar with this model to make it quite respectable to walk up in a gig with. It helps Immeasureably when a real player Kai to the well salted non churchy sounding serious organ cat!!!
I played one recently and for my ears you do not need a Vent used in this. It has by far the very best internal rotary of any clonewheel on the market and that includes H-S organs, Nord and even the Crumar Vent. There will be a 2 manual of this Casio organ. Some of the Casio digital pianos are outstanding. They are built in the same China factory as the Kurzweil keyboards.
Woah...are you SURE you heard the actual Casio XW-P1 Leslie effect? Because hands down, no competition, I've personally experienced it, and read about it in 15 different reviews that the XW-P1 rotary is bare bones compared to the likes of the Ventilator. I own both, and I have a pretty good idea what I'm talking about. For a crowd in a bar who doesn't know a Hammond from a ham sandwich, the XW-P1 might suffice, but for a genuine B3 lovin' crowd, this wouldn't cut the mustard. And I'm a fan of the XW-P1...for the COST, it's pretty dang decent, and I've even contently gigged with it.
I have the xpw1, and the organ sounds seem fine to me. The keys feel better than the plasticky ones in other previous casio keyboard models. I would place this in the middle end category at entry level prices. Having said this, the NeoVentilator definetely boosts the sound of the xwp1 and really makes it sound like the real b3, however, its pricey. Both the casio and the rotary pedal cost as much as a Roland V09 organ combo.
XW-P1 all by itself doesn't sound as good as the Nord Electro 2, but the XW-P1 with the Neo Ventilator sounds BETTER than the Nord Electro 2. Just depends on how much you want to spend and how cheap you can find the different gear.
Excellent demo honey! But I gotta tell ya sugar mama had to get her one of these XWP1 plus I got me one of them Casio WK7500 s and that too with both my Ventilators 1 and 2 B3 central baby mmmmmmm

I haven't taken my XK System out since getting the XWP1 + Vent.
I've had a Casio for 20 years, today I learned what a Drawbar Organ is
Nice playing brother! Give this cat a raise! ;-)

Good demo but it's hard to tell how much of an improvement the ventilator is over the onboard tones without doing an on/off comparison.
I have a XW-P1, and I can tell you the improvement is out of this world. The internal Leslir sim is just awful.
Very nice demo
Fantastic!

He's so great :)
Nope. That's Mony Tonaco 😂
Well, I was going to do the same type of demo video, but I see it's basically been done, and I definitely don't play as well...
Can someone named all the songs?
Well we'll go on Casio. Here's a guy awfully familiar with this model to make it quite respectable to walk up in a gig with. It helps

The internal leslie effect on this Casio is pure crap. Man, you're deaf.

+Steve Is the Neo Ventilator 1
+Steve Is the Neo Ventilator 1
+Steve Neo Ventilator is part of the cooling system for Intel 7i with Windows 7 :-)))
great chops, bro.....swing on.....
Casio?
This or an used nord electro 2?

so the ventilator is an add-on? Can anyone install it or do I need to go to a dealer?
It's an external effect pedal. www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/VentMini2
Why professional musicians don't use or prefer casio??? 🤔🤔🤔
They stopped making synths. This one was an exception. Prior to this they hadn’t made a decent synth for some time.
A casio faz grandes intrumentos, mas tem que ,melhorar sua estética!!
