Akbar had two more sons apart from Jahangir. Murad and Daniyal who died because of excessive drinking.
In his autobiography, Jahangir wrote that Daniyal Mirza had fallen sick due to excessive drinking. He was very much addicted so he told one of his servants to carry wine for him in his gun. As soon as he drank from the gun he fell on the floor and lost his life as the wine got mixed with the rust in the gun.
That is what Jahangir has written.

I don't understand how come this is love story, lady was already married and had a kid, she fell in love with jahangir also after her husband? Jahangir had 19 queens and most of them were love marriages and still he fell in love for 20th time? Is this even love? Please don't call it as love, I agree everyone deserves 2nd chance in life but that is not love but a dependence on a particular person for our need, that's it, har kisi se pyyar karna is not love.
Nur Jahan(Mehrunisa) had fallen in love with prince Salim(jahangir) when she was very young. Salim did not even know her then. She used to pay visits to Akbar's wife Ruqqaya. Then one day, akbar demanded Mehrunisa's father Ghias to get his daughter married to the soldier Ali Quli who hd served the army well. Salim and Mehrunisa met for the first time in the palace after she had been engaged to Ali Quli and when they met, Salim fell in love with her too, but nothing could happen of them because se was engaged to someone else and akbar reduced to change his orders. So, they remained separated for about 20 years. Ali Quli not being a good husband and later being disloyal to Jahangir was killed in a rebellion. After that when Mehrunisa returned to Lahore, she met the emperor again. Both of them had not forgotten each other despite the time and distance between them. Other marriages of jahangir were merely for political reasons but one with Mehrunisa later called Nur Jahan was out of true love for her.

K, you guys have made a good job of narrating this story, but you've given a really squeaky clean image of Nur Jahan.
Sharyar was not just the son of Jahangir, but he was also the son-in-law of Noor Jahan; he was the husband of Ladli Begum.
Actually she did wrong for Shah Jahan.
She supported Shah Jahan initially, as he was married to her niece Mumtaz ( Yes, *that* Mumtaz, his beloved queen).
Later Ladli got married to Shahryar, and that's when she began to support her son-in-law.
It's said that she's partially responsible for the rift between Jahangir and Shah Jahan that the latter had to go into exile.
At the same time, one cannot deny that she was a philanthropist, who made sure to provide for orphans and widows.
She managed to efficiently run the whole empire during her husband's ill health.
Most of the people are not entirely good nor evil, so history is never black and white.
