My mother was diagnosed with cancer 4years ago she was told by her doctor who identify as a Jewish man that they will need to conduct an dna testing on her to identify if it was hereditary when my mother DNA came back the doctor was baffled sooo shocked and surprised when he found out my mother was half Jewish that he told her that both his parents are Jewish but there wasn’t even a trace of Jewish in him But to make a long story short that doctor saved my mother life ❤ and I’m forever grateful 🙏

The problem is, many European Jews are not 100% Ashkenazi and have local mixtures of non-Jewish European people, so the average Eastern European Jew would be less than 40% likely to have a middle-eastern paternal haplotype, and also, having these haplotypes does not mean that you descend from Israelites, or anyone who lived in Canaan; those haplotypes, 2000 to 3000 years ago, were all over the eastern Mediterranean, NE Africa, and the middle east. So the 40% doesn't even mean Israelite descent. There is no Canaan-specific or Israelite-specific haplotype. Also, the maternal mitochondrial DNA of Ashkenazi is non-middle-eastern, and so, the traditional rule that one inherits their Jewishness from their mother is not met from the ancient lineage, so the entire Ashkenazi population is therefore from a converted matriarchal line.
What seems to make the most sense in studying ethnic genetics is the "closeness" style of study, which doesn't need to know exactly where genes came from, but just compares the mixture of genes in a population with another population, and enumerates the genetic proximity, not for individuals, but for groups. This is actually far more intuitive than looking at the question of where an individual comes from.
In the last decade, many ancient corpses have been sequenced, and the data has been laying old myths to rest. There are already DNA samples from the Holy Land from 2500 to 3700 years ago, and they all are close to each other, and among current populations of living people, Samaritans and Christian Palestinians are the closest to the ancient Israelite and Judahite DNA, a few smaller Jewish ethnicities and the Palestinian Muslims are almost as close, and European Jews, relatively quite distant. Even middle-eastern Jews like Yemenis are far more distant than Palestinians.
The facts don't care about feelings, and the facts are starting to clarify, and they seem to be that most of "the Jews" as a genetic pool never left Roman Palestine , but Judaism did, and spread through the old world, while the descendants of the ancient Jews started becoming Christians and then Muslims, and today we call the ones who were living west of the Jordan river before 1948 "Palestinians".

Yes, it's interesting where fiction and fact begin to merge - around the time of contemporaneous written history (as opposed to supposed history passed by word of mouth over generations). Current DNA home kits are only reliable back about 8-10 generations, and Jews go back 3500 years, which is about 175 generations. These home DNA tests are still in their infancy. I did a DNA test and the company stated that its accuracy only goes back about 8-10 generations. Let's not jump to conclusions using incomplete research data.

I'm Jewish and anti-Zionist but oh my g-d this video has a lot of problems.
My own parents' DNA results showed 99% and 98% Ashkenazi Jewish, which from talking to other people is a pretty common result. The people shown are 49% and 48.8% Jewish. It seems like both of them had exactly one Jewish parent and one non-Jewish parent (or perhaps one parent was a convert or adoptee or descendent of converts and/or adoptees).
But what's the point of this though? Acknowledging that Jews exist as a people doesn't justify anything that the Israeli state has done to the Palestinian people. The fact that Jews can trace ancestry to the Levant doesn't justify the displacement of those who call the Levant home now and aren't responsible for the Romans expelling us 2000 years ago. This is just completely unnecessary.

Note 1: A majority of Israeli Jews are not white, lots of them are Middle Eastern (Mizrahi Jews). some Ethiopian (Beta Israel Jews) and Central Asian (Bukharan Jews) and a few other place.
