Can You Beat Genshin Impact Using Only Layla?!

- Of all the support roles in Genshin Impact, shield characters have probably become the most useless ones. Ever since Zhongli came out, shield characters have become very few and far between. The only shield characters that have come out since Zhongli’s release, not including characters that get shields from constellations, are Thoma, Layla, Baizhu, and Kirara. Thoma, Baizhu and Kirara’s shields are not all that good, but they make up for it by having other parts of their kits that make them better. But what about Layla? Well, Layla is one of the only characters with a shield that can hold her own against Zhongli’s shields. Her shield isn’t AS good, but it's still one of the best shields in the game. I’ve already done Zhongli only in the past, so I wonder if Layla can also beat Genshin Impact on her own.
Rules:
I can only use Layla in battle.
Any puzzles that require another element can be completed with another character.
No healing items in battle.
No co-op.
All swords are allowed.

I lost 50/50 on Chiori banner on the Geo Only account, and I don' t have enough time to grind for primos and I don't want to whale on another challenge account, so idk if Geo Only will be next.
If anyone is thinking about commenting about either the harpastum against the Aeonblight Drake or the elemental resonance only working with a full team, please don't because enough people already have commented about that. I even pointed out in the video that I didn't know that elemental resonance only works with a full team.

@@itzamebeingweird In Inazuma city a bit south of the blacksmith shop, there is an npc named Nanako standing in front of a house. Also if you talk to the Inazuma blacksmith you also get a sword :)

Killer kokomi: yes
She's a character that pre-dates Zhongli, and as such, is not one worth mentioning when talking about shielders since Zhongli.
@@Axterix13 I get your point, but I was thinking more about how he said that no other characters can somewhat hold their own against Zhongli's shield, he didn't specify there that it had to be after his release date or not.
@Flying_Cat112 the reason she can't hold her own against zhongli is because of her Ludacris downtime. You'll only have her shield up half the time. Her shield lasts for 12 seconds and her elemental skill has a 24 second cooldown.
Here’s a trick for the Aeonblike Drake. Get the Ludi Harpastum gadget and aim it at the weak spots and then it will lose the cyro resistance!

if you need to fight the aeonblight drake again for a future challenge, you can use the wind-blessed harpastum to hit the drakes weak points and knock it down

Love this. Layla is definitely my favourite character so far. However, I got so used to taking no damage with her I got smoked in my first co-op
I've used Layla on my secound account (from event) for the whole game and her shield is very solid. And good option for ppl who don't have Zhongli/missed his reruns/newer players

Thoma's shield is actually as good as Zhongli's when it's stacked, the problem is mostly ER if you're low constellations, but he's very good for characters that use normal attacks.
(I am only at the beginning of the video so I'm sorry if you said it after, I just get very annoyed by people saying he's not good at his job lmao)

Layla was my main shielder until I dropped C1 Zhongli on his 4th banner so she's C6 & pretty well built. Her main role now is as cryo support on my Ayaka freeze team as I still haven't got Shenhe & although Rosaria is also well built I don't have a spare Fav spear for her & Layla has an R2 Fav sword so she can help battery & shield.

I raised Layla to 80 because her design was cool basically. Bec of the kaveh event I like her more as a character and so far she is the main character i regret leveling to 80 bec she’s just a less useful diona. Maybe ind day I’ll revisit her, for now I’ll just see if this video gives me any inspo.
