Farewell Pres. Carter. You were president when I was in high school so Ill never forget you. We learned in jr college that you were a DC "outsider" and couldn't be bought, even before we really knew what that meant. Someday Ill tour a peanut farm, and Plaines Georgia and think of you and Roselyn. Also, Id like to see Plains and the Carter library. Thank you for teaching us about Habitat for Humanity. You were humble yet mighty and showed us that in the USA a common person CAN go far. Yo were slightly older than my parents but you and Roselyn waved the peace sign. You and Mrs. Carter were a power couple and very youthful for those days being our "parent" generation, which now we refer as the Greatest Generation.
One of the great, decent men this nation has ever seen. Selfless and humble. Servant of his nation , fellow man and his God. Use him as a yardstick for what a real leader is.
As far as I know president Carter wasn't cremated therefore, he is not remains, so that that anchor kept refering to him as remains just shows his utter ignorance.
