Thank you so much! Gosh.. my motto: one size fits all is a misnomer. Sometimes a person’s history may be unknown and the standard mode of operation is unnecessary as the artist or creative can oscillate without the standard being needed.
*Definitely a night* (or later day) *person.* Like right now. It is just about midnight and I just finished putting up the 1st movement of the Schubert _Octet, Op. 166._ I want to start the next movement. But, alas. Other things call during the day and so I need to be up.
Good stuff!
Per discussion on downtown LA and why people that live there don’t go to the beach - as person who lives at the beach in LA - Ryan forgot to mention that in order to get here to the beach from downtown - you have to endure apocolyptic traffic going there and heading back! The distance is not far - but traffic can add 30 - 40 mins on to your drive!!
❤❤
Great meditation to start the day=]
My friend works for nickelback and he says the sell out every where no matter where they go
Guys. How many times can one person pepper their speech with the word “like” before we all start sneezing and we have to turn you off?
I love your work. I usually grab a tissue and push through.
But this time… I just can’t.

Just dropping in to get my dose of Daily Wokeism 💯
Stoicism is effectively the opposite of wokeism my confused young friend
@ yes this is true- point being is that this guy is misrepresenting stoicism- advocating for a party who fuels the military industrial complex printing hundreds billions of dollars and fueling the wars, destroying our fiat currency. Pulling away all manufacturing and refusing to utilize our own resources, while preaching it’s a great idea to advocate for kids to change their genders and chop off their you know whats- men in women sports, centralized control via government regulation brought on by the global corporations who own them etc- that is self destruction and bending over to the enemy- Not stoicism.
In the first minute or so, the interviewee used the word like four or five times. I understand this happening in casual conversation, but in a discussion on the stoics? I’m just finding myself distracted.
I agree. This is lazy speech. I can’t listen.
Kindly, they can’t be perfect all the time ❤
@ oh I agree. However, for me, just like cursing, it’s an area of speech indicating laziness and in need of improvement.
So, how many episodes have you put out, exactly? Might I suggest the “Man in the Arena“ speech by Theodore Roosevelt as a reminder that real credit goes to those who actually step into the ring…
Focal ticks and filler words drive me crazy. Can’t stop focusing on them.
Your newsletter today hit a new low Ryan! I've been a consumer of your content here and by email and have bought ALL your books but your newsletter about the election is beyond pathetic and disgraceful. As a "stoic", I would have expected a more impartial view of the elections. If you're going to fill with insults and expletives our new President-elect, make sure you do the same for the woke candidate who's agenda included anarchy and socialism. I'm beyond disappointed in your juvenile response through your newsletter. PS: We're more than HALF the country. GOOD BYE!
