  • I started prepping the bed for bed liner, then went to help my parents with 5th wheel bearings and brakes, my brother almost stepped on a Rattlesnake so we had to find and catch it, then relocate it in the desert.

Your videos are inspiring to start working on my Suzuki Samurai. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks, that's great to hear. Start with something easy that won't take long but will make a big visual difference, that helps give some momentum to your motivation lol, at least for me that's how it works. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for sharing on the cactus. Truly interesting.

Thanks, I didn't know if anyone would want to see that stuff or not. I was thinking it's prob different than what most people are used to seeing so I threw it in there. It probably annoyed a few people but I don't think anyone has said anything yet. For a long time I really wanted to move somewhere really green but that would mean being far from family so it never happened.

@@FixLife119 For some, like me, it’s interesting to learn how life survives in harsh conditions. Your desert truly is living proof of it.

@@BorisEkner I'll have to take some video in the summer, it looks much different, there's no green except for the Palo Verde trees. I'm also fascinated with how things survive different conditions. Ever hear of tardigrades? Like the "water bear" can survive insane conditions like -450°F to 300°F temps, tons of radiation etc. Plus I think they found a dried up one that was over 100 years old and they rehydrated it and it came back to life, some frogs can do that too I believe. Some life forms at the bottom of the ocean thrive in volcanic vents that spew acid, plus those crazy pressures. That kind of stuff fascinates me so much.

i believe that screw extracters may give a better result using an end wrench. your doing a great job on your sammy

Thank you very much. I've had luck with other ones in the past but unless you baby them at like 50rpm they turn molten the first time lol. These were like $3 on the tiktok shop and wouldn't even cut or bite. Next time I have a stripped screw I'll try a wrench, something I can put alot of pressure on while turning, good thing I didn't throw em away lol.

Hello, a very different landscape from the one we have in Portugal, even in the South where it is flat and hot we don't have anything like this despite having seen a familiar species, the cactus that is spread out and low like a palm tree, I have one on the farm. But this video is part of life and it doesn't always take us where we want, sometimes we have detours. I noticed that you put the additive in the fuel, but doesn't it say that after adding it you have to drive the vehicle for at least 100km in a row? The one I used had. Well I don't bother you anymore, keep up with the restoration.

I was really hoping someone from a different country/climate might see it. I know I like seeing different places, to me this is normal. I'd rather be somewhere really green, maybe tropical, but at 44 I'm just now developing a real appreciation for how different it is here. The stuff I bought said to fill the tank and add the stuff, which is prob pretty potent in the Samurai's small tank, then drive until you only have 1/8 tank, then refill and take it to test. Thanks for the comment.

I’m glad the snake didn’t bite you, you’d of had to change the name of your videos from FixLife to LifeFlight! 😮 The desert scenes would be cool if you included them with your Samari build once in a while, keep the videos coming !

Lol, thanks George. It almost got my brother, luckily it rattled. They usually do but not always. Thanks for the feedback also!

Predrill, insert extractor, set extractor with a hammer by giving it a few blows and then break the screw free with a wrench. Only way I've ever gotten them to work. Hope this helps.

Ya that makes perfect sense. Hitting it sets it and hopefully helps with breaking the screw loose. One of those manual impacts that you hit and it turns would be perfect, but I'm not sure they can go in reverse. Hey thanks for the comment!

Get a box of moth balls and sprinkle around the area. All the snakes will go away. My wife does pest control professionally and uses that trick all the time at customers houses

The rats/mice have just attacked the wiring on my brothers Hyundai so they've done moth balls, essential oils, these little packets of stuff, I think mint etc. We always leave a light under vehicles cuz I guess that deters them too. I don't think they had any on the side of the shed where the snake was though. I even have the ultrasonic deals on my motorhome. They usually have a few Rattlesnake encounters a year. They've gotten in the garage before.

Was worried about there were not going to be more chapters of this series 😂...
I recemtly put some bed liner to my SJ413, but i didn't removed the manufacturer pads or anything, just used sandpaper to prepare the surface and that's it... Hope it works and more important, hope it lasts because i don't want to do it again, at least not anytime soon 😅

Yeah lol. That's the route my dad and brother wanted to go. I've always liked snakes since I was little so I try to only do that if I can't relocate em.

Yes, I towed a 18' steel open car trailer with a Mazda Miata on it two miles from one shop to another for an alignment....... Mostly it was on a dare... I DON'T recommend unless you have tons of towing experience. I would not use a Samurai to tow anything other than a super small gear trailer at low speeds on a trail, never on the road at speed.
