Jimmy Tarbuck has summed up Sir Michael Parkinson brilliantly RIP 😢
A wonderful tribute from a close friend. Thank you Jim. RIP Michael, the greatest TV chat show host ever.
Jimmy well said - RIP Parky a life lived very very well.
Never seen a better interviewer before or since, he actually listened.
Now i am crying...I was just a child, but his presence was giant...words so true.
My condolences to Micheal family and friends he was such good interview and had a good sense of humour
What a wonderful tribute to the wonderful Michael Parkinson. Jimmy, you really did your pal proud there! It can't have been easy but you did it so well. Condolences to Mary, family and Parky's many, many friends. He was indeed a true giant! x

Lovely tribute, he was a patron of the Jazz Centre in Essex, he came down one day and I had my picture taken with me, he was very approachable.
I grew up with Michael Parkinson and Jimmy Tarbuck. My childhood wasn't great but these two always made me smile. RIP Parky and goodonya Tarby. It's always a sad time when we lose a friend. xxx

I once sang with Andy Williams. He was on the radio. I was in the bath! RIP Parky.
Definitely should replay all his chats shows, they were brilliant, interesting and entertaining.
Fabulous tribute Tarby! 😀
Splendid tribute. 🙂
Thank you Parky Thank you for the Memories
RIP Michael 😥
Always watched Parky on a Saturday night. He balanced having a laugh with the guests with the more serious questions. Just loved him.
"We feel like we know him". Well you did, because Michael Parkinson was exactly as you saw him on his shows. A really genuine man. He will be missed by us all, whether we knew him personally, or just from his shows on the telly.
Great to see this tribute was handled so sensitively by the two presenters who realised how much of a friend Jimmy Tarbuck was to Michael Parkinson and how he might buckle under the weight of responsibility of paying tribute to his friend. Well done all…Sincerest Condolences to Michael’s family and friends.
Rest in peace Michael Parkinson, I absolutely adored your show and loved the fact that you asked appropriate questions, I was so upset when the show finished. I loved how you would laugh uncontrollably at your comedic guests that you had on the show. Rest in eternal love Parky
Best interview I liked was with Peter Sellers
What a mammoth of a man he was mr parky
The rich the famous the talented and Jimmy Tarbuck!
I liked his interview with Dame Edna !

Absolutely fantastic but so sad RIP ❤🙏
Throughout the 70's he was UK's Mr Saturday Night.....RIP Sir Michael
RIP LEGEND A TRUE REAL HONEST PERSON FOR 70 YEARS
Nice one Jimmy
The best ever...rest easy parky ❤
I was a fan of Michael s show, he was fair, and he got the best out of his guests, RIP
The legends of my generation are dropping off at an alarming rate...makes us aware of our own mortality !!
Hi will be sadly missed
Yes will be missed John Bishop take a look at some old parky interviews and see how it’s done properly
Good man Jimmy 👍
Parky Will b sadly missed,such a legend😢💔
Nice to see Tarby looking well !
The list of stars includes the beckhams??? Dear God......
Agreed. James Cagney, Bette Davis, Orson Welles, Jimmy Stewart...&, er yeah, the Beckham's!!
God Bless parky
Well said jimmy)) will miss hom
Tarbuck is still alive?? Wow... havent seen him in decades. He's looking good, I guess he just plays golf these days
Well done, jimmy, son . 👍
Like Terry Wogan..Michael Parkinson put people at ease and listened to what they said..only occasionally prompting when he had to..
Absolutely.
2 of the greats Terence.
Well said
I feel lucky to have grown up as a child through the 70/80's, I loved Parky even at a young age. TV today is just not the same. In Australia its all reality TV, utter garbage. I don't think we will ever see another Parky in this day and age, and I'm not a fan of the GOAT label, but he was the GOAT in his industry. RIP Sir Michael Parkinson.
Completely agree with you
WTF is a GOAT? And how disrespectful could you possibly be at the loss of one of Britain's best entertainers?
He was in a league of his own " Magic "
He will be sadly missed
And BBC never let him return
Rip parky😓
Sir micheal Parkinson
Brilliant man,
Jimmy tarbuck great man too 👍💯
He met, if not more, people than Queen Elizabeth
That's debatable but Muhammad Ali met more people than both of them combined
RIP the great Michael Parkinson
😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Superb question Charlotte … ‘how do you feel ‘ …..ffs
We're the days back then
We had the best and England ❤
1950/70
So much natural talent and success in life
Michael had the best
Unfortunately nothing left no talent
No comedy
No laughing
Nothing on TV
Make a film 🎥 Evey one
Get Oscar's for doing nothing
Thanks Michael ❤
Made England
British values
British sense of humour
Proper laughing
Great back then
1950/
both the interviewers seem so shallow compared to the depth of emotion Jimmy Tarbuck was expressing
David and Victoria Beckham...wow........Is there anyone Tarbuck won't come out for.
The Guvnor ! RIP .
How is Jimmy not a Sir
He was successfully prosecuted for stealing from Terry Thomas.
Tarbuck could never speak to the cameras without mentioning bloody golf, as if to say "I have such a well paid and important job I can afford to play golf"
R.I.P. Sir Michael.
Sadly missed
Parky was streets ahead of the boring, shallow, infantile, false laughter American chat show hosts (Dick Cavett was the exception). RIP Parky!
other than being his friend... who is jimmy tarbuck?
The introduction was utterly mind boggling. He interviewed the world's biggest stars...Muhammed Ali...definitely...Elton John...absolutely and then he said, wait for it, the Beckhams hahaha!!!!. I thought he was gonna say Orson Welles or Tom Cruise or some other real world star...what idiots.
Yeh I had a WTF moment when they were mentioned
I thought Jimmy tarbuck was dead
That presenter is so fake
Why all this talk about Michael Parkinson? You mustn't overdo these things, possums. Many of these people, these so called stars that Michael had on his show were non-entities. Some were real stars. They were friends of mine who needed an appearance on a show. So I mentioned them to Michael, working behind the scenes, putting shows together for him using my connections, taking time out of my busy schedule. I like to help people. It's just the kind of person I am.
Every time I was on the show I got exciting reviews, being a megastar. The audiences loved me. Michael was lucky enough to be my guest several times over the years. He told me I was his favourite, my female urges and juices coming out in great gusts. I shared my experiences, always in the strictest confidence. I was his most popular guest. Sadly, all things must end.
Thank you for reading me in your homes viewers!
Dame E. Everage
Actually, your rant was about 6 paragraphs too long. I doubt anyone read it.
I thought Jimmy was dead.
Give it a rest nobody cares
At least he didn't die of parkinsons disease
Thought Tarby was dead
Me too. He just stays under the radar I guess. Fair play to him, he had his years of fame and knew when to quit.
RIP Parky ♥️
Cor tarby gets on my wick rode in on the Liverpool sensation, l have never found out what his talent was supposed to be.
Apart from endless tales about people who befriended him that’s it?
I'm soooo sorry to post this BUT, JT was never funny, (boom boom)!! Just like John Bishop / Michael Macintyre they are all embarrassing! Where did all the comedians' go?? And, as for MP I have ALWAYS thought he was bloody useless... stuttering... erming etc and WHY, was he effin knighted???? WHY? BUT, I am sorry, he's passed! Why not look up some of the posts', coming out of where he worked... very interesting, to say the least!
So right ..claim to fame was Barnsley born and breed. Why didn’t these famous northerners live in the north if it was great….been up there loads of times and saw nothing to admire with the culture etc whippets and Lowry not much else
Tarbuck getting a bit of pr
In an era of male chauvinism.
Michael who? That’s show business folks! Next!
Drop kick dence dope moron just some of the things you are .
What an awful comment to make in the circumstances!
@@christinewallis8953 From one who knows. Michael would chuckle. His absence on and off the screen will make our lives poorer. He was best in class and I sincerely hope NTA or BAFTA create an award in his memory. Please do not worry about the humour comment. The wonderful Michael is laughing along. Take care.
What a nasty person you are.
"David and Victoria Beckham". Who are they???
Seriously, Parkinson deserved so much better than that.
