Today I venture to a closing marina and then take off to a 350 Sea Ray. Thanks for watching. Need Parts? Click The Link Below for a discount shareasale.com...
Some really good tips and tricks in your latest videos! So my 17 year old wanna-be marine engine technician landed a co-op job at a marina. They liked him so much they offered him an apprenticeship! All his paperwork has been submitted and he's well on his way. His co-op teacher has been so impressed she's nominated him for the "Above and Beyond" award for "demonstrating skills and achievement required for success in the areas of work, vocational training and independent living".... Sweet! He's the only one among his peers going into a trade but he's the envy of the parents of his peers. While their kids will go to university, many not knowing what they'll do afterwards, they admire his confidence in direction. Choosing an industry that he's always been passionate and knowledgeable about and that he's already on the road to a great career. I think the marine industry is fairly well insulated from the silliness now seen in the world with very good character people working in it. When your office is the waterfront, how could that not be good for the spirit? Thanks for being a good example of a professional Justin!
@@JustinLeeMarine ahhh makes sense. It sounds nice if you primarily do day boating or short weekends. No gens to break or maintain…just expensive batteries I suppose.
Great video! My uncle has a newer Verado 300 with power steering (pump looks just like the on this video), and I’m convinced the power steering isn’t working as intended. It’s a workout trying to turn that thing. I’ve checked the fluid and it’s about 1cm over the “max fill line”. Could that cause the issue? I’ve tried to convince him to take it to the shop, but it’s a 5-6 hour drive to the shop he uses, so no dice. Is there anything else you recommend I check? I’m told the pump is self-priming, but I have no idea how to activate it. Any tips? Any help is appreciated.
You need special tools to test the pump and if it's bad you have to upgrade it to the new style. Kind of a pain. I would say get it to a Mercury dealer if possible.
@@JustinLeeMarine the nearest mercury shop is 5 hours, so I may need to haul it over one weekend. The pump’s only a year old, so it may not be the one in your video, but it looks similar. Do you know how the self-priming stuff works? I can’t find a manual to save my life.

Thank you and that is awesome.🎉🎉 I think he will enjoy it and you are correct. My office View is always nice☺️
Very nice detective work. Always interesting and informative. Thanks!
Thank you. ☺️
It's so simple when you know, but if you don't know, it's so frustrating. Thank you for taking the time to explain.
Thanks for watching ☺️
That's crazy...a brand new boat and things don't work on it. Good vid...as always.
Welcome to life.
@@KruiserIV glad I'm pretty handy. I service and maintain my boat myself.
@@A5JDZK I hear ya.
Man, did that boat have like 10 batteries? It’s like a 30 some footer?!
It has an inverter for AC and the grill so it has a bunch more batteries instead of a generator.

I'm sure you've experienced those pumps going bad but they seem pretty robust. Just when you think your job stinks you show a turd boat.
Lol 😆
