I'd have to say the 90s trumped both those decades; some of the best diversity and it all was pretty damn good. Rap, metal, alternative, grunge, trip-hop, singer-songwriters, Brit pop and even country and New Age had their time. Plus it was the last decade of MTV videos. 70s was good for sure.

My beautiful blue eyed girl friend made me a mix tape ( yes, not a CD) of Aldo Nova songs. We played it on our dates until it was worn out, and wouldn't play any longer. I still have all of the memories from long ago, and that blue eyed girl and I celebrated our twenty year anniverary this past year. Thanks Aldo!!!!
Thanks. I have teenagers now, and I'm raising them on good music. My 16 year old actually plays bass guitar with a group, and jams to all of the older styles:)

I had a daughter..I was 21 ..I loved the boy who gave me first child.years went by.. long story short ..I love that man we went are.ways..He moved back to West Virginia.. I stayed in Indiana..I got married.. long story short..My oldest turned 18.. I kept his parents phone number,I called out of the blue..he answered the phone.. that was 10 yrs ago..We are together again..He treats my youngest daughters as his..I have been in love with this man for 33 yrs.. I knew he would always be mine..

Of course there are bands to-day with genuine quality, but the old scene is what instilled in me such a love for music

You should really look at all the behind the scenes stuff he's done and is doing before you say that. There's always a lot more going on behind the scenes than you realize. Not everyone whose talented gets the "push" from the music industry conglomerate.There's soo much BS involved. I for one will always appreciate his talent. Hope someday you will too. ;)
Thanks, we definitely grew up with a different mind set back then. I don't feel like it was that long ago, I guess time flies when you're having fun. Back then when our generation had problems, we had the tenacity to give it everything we had. Sometimes it worked, and others it didn't, but we always tried. This younger generation has lost that drive. When you listen to this music, compared to the new stuff, it does make you wonder.
I was saying goodbye to my girlfriend Tonya in 1986 after graduation, was moving away to chase my dreams and things had been not so well with us. Left her house that evening and came to the top of a hill I had to cross, it was dusk and this song was playing in my 65 SS 409. Stopped and took one last look at her house … sang the rest of the song with tears in my eyes, got in put it in gear and drove away … never seen her again
