I'm so excited for what Gavin & Stacey has in store! I watched the 2019 special with my parents & all three of us spent the entire show laughing our heads off. Sadly my mum is no longer with us, but I know my family will enjoy this finale episode!

I had never seen a full episode of Gavin and Stacy UNTIL the 2019 special…. And I enjoyed it. Not enough to make going to check out the rest of the series a priority but I’ll probably still watch the last one.

They were building up to this. It was repeated on gold. James has relaunched his stage career. And the history boys was on bbc 4.
James Corden is the Phil Anselmo of TV. He needed to resurrect his early work because his career was dead in the water.

Christmas 2024 is gonna be a big one because that's happening and Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is gonna be coming out!
Personally I can’t wait, I think Wallace and Gromitt will be on Christmas Day, be interesting to see how BBC1 play it as they will have to fit in Strictly, Call the Midwife, Eastenders and the horrific Mrs Browns Boys all into one night

I wonder how awkward Joanna Page & Matthew Horne’s first day on set is going to be after Joanna made those comments about a tv comedy being “shit”, being really quite mean about it on her podcast whilst Matthew tweeted that he actually liked the comedy in question.
Ruth Jones has openly talked about the stress of having her photo taken with James corden when they meet up privately. They are very good friends. She found the press scrutiny very difficult to deal as everyone assumed they must be making a new series. Fan intrusion it's called. Larry lamb and Alison steadman also found it very difficult. They are constantly stopped In the street and asked about the return of gavin and Stacey. I knew something was afoot as there has been no new eps brydon & and he kept mentioning this amazon show he is doing.

I think it’ll be the finale for a while and then they might write another either episode or season
Between this and a new Wallace & Gromit, I think we're going to see what the upper limits of broadcast television ratings can be at Christmas in the modern context this year - Albeit it's not as long between this and the 2019 reunion special as it was between that and the end of the main series. (Some important context on the Matter of Loaf and Death ratings - It also got around 8m, IIRC, when repeated on NYD)
...And I've just realized this is a modern equivalent of the last two episodes of The Vicar of Dibley - 2006's Christmas Day and 2007's New Year's Day specials - cumulating with Geraldine getting married and I suddenly feel like an antique.
It's not a series I've watched, but I see it's on the BBC iPlayer so I might have to watch the box set to see why it's so popular. I didn't know they were making a new Wallace and Gromit - will this be the first one since we lost Peter Sallis?
Unless it's a flashback episode to *that* fishing trip where we FINALLY find out what happened...then I'm not interested 😅
I've never watched the show personally. It seems to be one of those rare shows where hardly anyone seems to dislike it. It has a very broad appeal.

bbc missed a trick. they should of done a teaser tonight about something which then could of been raned all week next week during Eurovision week with clues about the announcement with then next sat before Eurovision dropping the script announcement. would of made alot more of an impact.

Do I have to be honest with this news. . .I really don't give a damn honestly they should stick with the with the cliffhanger and leave it as that i never like the show i tried to give this a good watch and I really don't like it at all, they really shouldn't bothered to bring it back and leave it as a cliffhanger.
