" For centuries, Mesopotamia was thought to be the world's oldest civilization. This was generally accepted by most people until a 5,000-year old temple was discovered in Jiroft Historical Site in Iran's southern Kerman province, prompting archaeologists to identify the region as the world's oldest cradle of human civilization." archaeologynewsnetwork.blogspot.com/2015/08/jiroft-cradle-of-human-civilization-in.html

Did you mean alcohol being invented by Razy? Or do I have it wrong? the current use of alcohol for medical usages dates back to ancient Iran
@@SanamJanamian What is your evidence that alcohol was invented before Razi?
@Stateira Ardeshiri There is no definitive evidence that the ancient Persians invented the battery
It's just speculation and there are many opinions about the functionality of those jars
Being an Arab I must add that "nearly" all the inventions credited to the islamic empire were made by Persians. Even the rules of the grammar of the Arabic language were introduced by "Sibaway" a Persian. Imam "Shafi", one of the greatest Imams in history, once said "if science has a crown, it would be won by a Persian". It is disgusting that modern Arabs don't realise these facts and have only hate in their hearts towards the Iranians, just as the Saudis want
someone finally said it!

Why are Arabs here trying to take credit of Irans history? They invaded and slaughtered them in 600AC!
@@ahriman46 they did no slaughtered them.....that's a myth you are told ( i''m an iranian historian) theu obviously sloughteres some ...lol ... anyway. who took credit "for" iranian history?
Shortly after the sanctions on Iraq we read everyday about millions dying because of lack of medical care. Iranians have been under sanctions for 40 years and managed to make submarines, radars, ballistic missiles and all their needs and we never heard of millions dying because of lack of medical care. From a loving sunni Palestinian, all respect goes to Iran and the Iranians

If you mean that some muslim countries still use lunar calender, that is true...but iran doesn't....because iranians need their new year which is 21 march each year ( or better said 1st of farvardin

The Chinese empire always appreciated the Iranians and their abilities. The empire invited tens of thousands of Iranian scholars to employed in China in the ancient times. Yes, the Iranians are great people.
The Persians were a great people. Iranians are nothing like them anymore.

Before iranian were sunni, and after I think savavids invade persia and forcefully converted them to shia. Because I think political shiasm is really oppressive regime and shia sect have a lot of contradiction and doesn’t make really sense.
@@Hlk.100Iranians were Zoroastrians , Shia was created to counter Sunni Arabs as a means of differentiating Persians from the rest of the invading Arabs

@Honest Talker damn you sound petty :(
@Honest Talker Parthians did know how to govern. That's why they had an empire called the Parthian Empire (247 BC-224 AD) and they managed to defend Iran against Rome successfully. Ever heard of the Parthian Shot, kid?
Many Iranian scientists come from north eastern Iran and parts of central Asia because of cities like Neishabour or Merv. Neishabour for instance was one of the biggest cities on earth and second only to Constantinople in population. The city had huge educational institutions and a great tradition in the field of science. Furthermore, different monarchs used these metropoles to attract scientists from all over Iran. Hence, its fame for producing so many grand masters.
One last thing: the Leanardo Da Vinci of Iran namely Abu Ali Sina came from Hamadan. So much for your pseudo-theory.
Now get your ass back to school and learn some history. You didn't impress anyone with your disinformation.
Abu raihan biruni and all khwarazmiy come from khorezmia

At of all of these, the most shocking was human rights,I though human rights started at the 18th century but I was wrong.
Well it wasn't the same as modern human rights, sort of an ancient precursor. Much like how Greek democracy wouldn't be considered a real democracy by today's standards, but still is a milestone worth celebrating.
The Cyrus Cylinder is something that goes way beyond human rights. It is about being good for all... humans, animals, plants, ...
@kxr Of course it is. My statement doesn't contradict that.
finally, someone starts being fair toward the great nation of Iran.
Tnx
Persian invented backgammon, hookah and ice cream ( that ice cream called Faloodeh and back to 2400 years ago! )
Its called::: "Akbar-Mashdy" !!!
@@kareemsalessi
Could you explain more..
The meaning and root of these 2 words.. Tx
@@behappy75003 "Akbar-Mashdy" was the name of the most famous Persian ice-cream in Tehran, in the last century. It was also the of the owner of the ice-cream parlor, which had been operating for decades, even after his death. I am NOT aware if it is still around. However, it was made with the traditional form of Persian ice-cream, including the natural flower aroma (rose-water) and sometimes Safran, and contained chunks of frozen solid cream, which tasted extra delicious. Another lower quality version of such ice-cream with the name of "Golo-Bolbol" is currently made in Los Angeles, and also has a shop in Irvine, Ca. "Golo-Bolbol" literally means flower & nightingale, which was the name of the second best ice-cream shop in Tehran!!!! The California shops belong the heirs of the original owner!!!

Many things in this world are invented by Persians (Iranians), Sulfuric acid and Ethanol by Rhazes. The first practical windmills for the first time in the history of the world were in Iran. An ancient type of evaporative cooler and refrigerator, ice cream, rosewater. The art of tile-work was invented and perfected in Iran. The first time that cake was used in a birthday party was by King Darius the Great, high heel shoes, Qanat, Polo, Algebra by Khwarizmi, Fork, spoons and many different invents.
Iran (Persia) has a great culture, civilization, rich mythology, and history. Persians (Iranians) gave to the world many scientists, great poets, and philosophers, such as Khayyam, Rhazes, Bubares, Avicenna, Khwarizmi, Nasir Tusi, Mani, Borzuya, Fakhruddin Razi, Jamshid Kashani, Abd Rahman Sufi, Ferdowsi, Hafez, Saadi, Attar, Qutb Din Shirazi, etc, they are among the best scientists of human history.
The Persian language is one of the oldest living languages. Persian literature is one of the world's oldest literature. The Persian literature described as one of the great literatures of humanity, and it is one of the four main bodies of world literature.
God bless you darling.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH for bringing these to my attention - actually to our collective attention. I have a few Iranian friends and considered myself "well-informed," but even I didn't know some of these facts. Thank you for making this video and its sequel, which is as good as this one. And thank you for going against the grain of the mainstream media by providing these valuable and informative videos.
Avecenna (Abu Ali Sina) was a renowned physicians (The movie, Physicians played by Ben Kingsley was based on him) who catalogued lots of herbs for their medicinal values. His two books of "Cannon of Medicine" and "Book of Healing" are his masterpieces. In 1975, one of his books went into a re-print of 10,000 copies.
It's sad how much this video made me happy. We're viewed so negative in other nations that mentioning our contributions (which is just a regular matter of fact thing in most countries) is this surprising & out of the ordinary. Thank you FTD facts for this video.
I think the invasion of savavids converting them to shiasm destroyed iran and now political shia oppressive regime. Shia sect have a lot of contradiction and doesn’t make sense to lot of people
Banks
Piano (developed santur)
Floating beridges (the first bridge between asia and europe)
Knights (first mounted warriors)
Kanals (first kanal between red sea and Mediterranean)
First geographic mappers (Called "Rahdar")
There are hundreds more , but the difference between persian invetors before islamic era and greece inventors is that persians lived in monarcy society and the inventor had no power to share its name beside its invention, their books been stored in emperial libraries and after each invation or rebelion who borned the cities these books have been lost aswell. unlike in greece where there were a democracy and they were allowed to share their names. In total there are dissent more invantions in modern day which trace back to medival and ancient persia in compare to greece invantions, and yet many do not know about these.

The blossoming literature, philosophy, mathematics, medicine, astronomy and art of Iran became major elements in the formation of a new age for the Iranian civilization, during a period known as the Islamic Golden Age. The Islamic Golden Age reached its peak by the 10th and 11th centuries, during which Iran was the main theater of scientific activities. After the 10th century, Persian, alongside Arabic, was used for scientific, medical, philosophical, arithmetical, historical, and musical works, and renowned Iranian writers-such as Tusi, Avicenna, Qotb-od-Din Shirazi, and Biruni-had major contributions in scientific writing. Among Iran's famous medieval scientists, Al-Khwarizmi (whose name was Latinized as Algoritmi) gave a significant role in the development of the Arabic numerals and algebrathrough his 9th-century work On the Calculation with Hindu Numerals that is globally adopted as the modern numerical system.

You missed "Algorithm" bro. In mathematics and computer science, an algorithm is a sequence of instructions, typically to solve a class of problems or perform a computation. Algorithms are unambiguous specifications for performing calculation, data processing, automated reasoning, and other tasks. Wikipedia

@I NSA excuse me but the point is abassid empire was established and protected by many persians and accroding to history document islamic culture after arabs wildly conquer was mainly adopted from sassanid empire and rest of it even mainly came from other nation like greeks, indians...
I NSA the abassid empire was not even using arabic as the language lmao the persians did much more for civilization than the arabs
@I NSA
This video talked about a IRAN!
When other video came out and speak about Arab, copy and paste there !
@I NSA look BAGH in Persian means Gorden and DAD in Persian means justice, therefore, Baghdad means Gorden of justice which was winter capital of Persian during the Parthian and Sasanid dynasty.
The mighty Persian introduced monotheism to mankind as well as heaven and hell and the presence of Satan.
The name Allah is the name of stone as the name Allah existed before the birth of Mohammed as his father's name was Abdullah i.e servant of Allah. so, before Mohammed, the Bedouin people of Arabia were stone worshippers.
In the book of Quran Mohammed's name was mentioned only once. Even Quaran was written by Dearedful !!! Iranian over 500 years ago because during Abbasid there were 18 different kinds of Quran. Finally, even the name Quran is not Arabic.
@I NSA I am wondering if you tell howmuch do you know about history, what kind of strange lies you are saying about persian culture during the sassanid empire, there were pahlavi language and we used aramic upgraded alphabet for writing one of the biggest library in the world existed in the tisphon city which get ruined and burnt by arab warriors, we had a power art in all aspects included great musicians like barbod, great poets(whi most of them are unknown, thanks to arabs the book burners) and even great scientist who a great part of them called mogh (avesta isnot like quran but also is a great Encyclopedia) and more and more other things to add...
Love you Persia from an Armenian from Salmas Iran.

The best Rock music of all time that the whole world has ever seen by the best Persian man Freddie Mercury aka Faroukh Balsora which his actual last name is Palsalar which in Persian means General. As scholars discovered Freddie Mercury’s ancestor was an Army General of Sassanid Dynasty. Some of his outfits were made as Army General jackets he wore at his live concerts.
yes. nice mention.
thank you.

No problem. We Persians consider Freddie Mercury like Rumi in music world. Everything its roots goes back to great Persia and not Greeks. 😍😇😊
Queen wasn't that good
And you forgot about algorithms that created by alkharazmi that all of the computers are calculates and works by algorithms.

The most accurate calendar is Jalali's calendar also is Persian and it is a solar calendar. Researches indicate that this calendar has roots in ancient persian way of counting the days.
Nowruz is the zero point of this calendar which is the beginning of spring.
