- "BLACKTAIL STUDIO SPECIALIZES IN UTILIZING NATIVE HARDWOODS, SALVAGED LUMBER, AND UP-CYCLED MATERIALS TO CRAFT CUSTOM FURNITURE, HOME DÉCOR, AND UNIQUE GIFTS.
Over the years Blacktail Studio has become much more that custom furniture and home decor. Cam has a true passion for education. And while selling furniture is great, his true love is sharing his knowledge with those who want to learn. In the hope that he can inspire the next generation of craftsman in an ever shrinking industry. Blacktail will never stop creating and innovating furniture and functional art. We see it as a perfect marriage with education. If you order a custom piece of furniture there is a good chance it will become an instructional how-to video seen by millions. We also understand the need for privacy, so just let us know if this is something you would not prefer.
Since we are located in the beautiful PNW we are fortunate enough to have access to some of the best hardwoods in the world. We specialize in live edge, epoxy resin river tables, and unique solid wood furniture and wall art. Our client list ranges from first time home owners to large commercial spaces. 95% of what we do is custom, so you will never have to apologize for wanting your piece exactly how you want it. Exactly how you want it is all we do. We hope you enjoy exploring our site and a get a chance to see our past projects, current inventory available for sale, or request a custom quote to start your own custom creation" (excerpt from www.blacktails...)

Been watching Cam since the beginning, it's been fantastic watching his channel and Cam himself grow
Cam! If you read this - please do a series on the renovation of that big space you have! I'd be so interested to watch that. Vlogs are still a thing right? Heh ❤
100% agree with this 👍
YES!
Yes, please!
Totally agree😊
But Cam is good at answering on his own videos.
Why not message him there?
Id love to see it, hadno idea he was moving until now .
@@fnordeon1013 way ahead of you ^_^
It’s interesting to hear what Cam did before UA-cam. 😃
Great inside look. Awesome vid!
I love that this is not a podcast type interview! Showing Cam in his environment and splitting in footage from his vids is a really nice esthetic. Really nice video!! And Cam is fantastic, he has a natural artistic esthetic that cannot be taught. Can't wait to see what comes out of his new studio! Thank you
Can we take a minute to talk about how gorgeous Cam is? Talented, good voice, amazing body and those eyes. Cam makes me swoon.
Great job on this interview of Cam.
Great story about Black Tail Studios. Justin so many people are missing out on what you do. Hearing the stories of how they got started, their life and work. They are humans like us and your channel is so refreshing. I have to admit I miss you working with April but I bet her support for you is unwavering. Keep up the stories and I’ll keep watchimg
This is a great compliment to receive and I appreciate you taking the time to write it out. It inspires me to keep this train rollin!
Enjoy watching Cam just as a person as well as watching the builds.
Can't wait.
Another great video guys
Thank you
This was good. Thanks.
Another great video, thanks for sharing!
And thank you for checking it out!

That's a list of a few incredible woodworkers that might also be interesting people to interview. Hope you can do at least one of them one day.
Very good job once again!
Excellent video!
Thank you very much!
Great Job
Thanks so much, Derek!
Thanks!
Hey thank you so much for the support!! That means a lot! I appreciate you
Congratulations on the new space!
Danke!
You're the best. Thank you for constantly supporting me!
No idea how Cam managed to stay off my radar all this time, but I've corrected that error. A great addition to the collection! Thanks for sharing!
I've genuinely been watching Cam for years. I wish I could say I've been around since the begining but it was close enough! He's seriously a phenomenal woodworker, as much as he doesn't want to admit it, and even past that a great youtuber, again as much as he doesn't want to admit it. Keep up the great work Cam!
Time flies, also stumbled upon those vids and they are addicitive, learned a lot
next "who is Mable? documentary maker
"
Been watching his channel for about a year now. Had no idea he was a heli colter pilot. Makes sense. Seems like he’s very intense about his work, but a jokester in his free time. Lol… love his channel. His “hater of the week” comment at the end of each video is hilarious. 💪💪😂
Been watching/following Cam for a few years, really cool to see the new space coming together for him! Great video!
Cam is awesome, his views on the beetles is of concern to me but we let that slide
Great video. Praise to both you and cam for what you guys do, both amazing and I can’t wait to see what the future holds.
Thanks so much for watching!
Been watching him forever!
Please fix the outlet just below the UA-cam award @ 7:46
Lol I love the haters that leave comments. I think you're success with subs is barometer for how you are doing. I and some of my friends love your channel!
Great.Thanks Cam😅
I as well have been one of his early followers!! I love his content as well as Cam!! His wife is an extremely women, as Cam has something about him that makes him sexy as hell!!
Thanks for the interview with Cam. I have been watching him for about 4 years. I find it interesting the N3 nano has been used on at least 5 channels that I watch.
Great doc as always. I'm surprised it took you this long to get to Cam. Can't wait to see who's next. BTW, I saw you at the Total Boat boat build competition in Komar's video. I''m curious what you were working on?
All I can say is your
neighbors will love you . Now that you're moving( No more noise and sawdust in their house Or driveways 😂 )
My Blacktail marking knife just came in, and it's fantastic.
The fact he thinks Marijuana comes with needle use scares me.
Great update, I’m cheering for you & your wife! Nice to see Riggs. Can’t wait for more on the property 💯
It'll be great to see Cams vision for the new property and some new projects . Great video
It’s far from a criticism but I would suggest that he and his team are batter business people than woodworkers.
I’ll try and explain my view. What CA builds is fine; it’s not cutting edge, it doesn’t break moulds but it’s very competent. However, to build a business base as he has in a relatively short period of time is a big achievement and he has my admiration for that.
I know many woodworkers who I would say have greater skills than CA ( and much greater than I) but struggle to make ends meet. Why? Because they are excellent at woodwork but don’t have the skills or the aptitude to make that a successful business.
I come to this view having been a woodworker for over 45 years and, before retirement, I was a MD of a business employing 3500 people. So,perhaps, I know something about both woodworking and business.
"I just like projects" that really resonates with me 🤩
Step 1. Start out being bad. Roger that!
Another good video Justin. 👌
Thanks so much, dude!
Very well done with top notch video/audio edits. And Cam's sense of humor is very underrated. His comments to some of the haters is a must read! LOL.
Another great video Justin! Cam, can’t wait to see what you are going to do with this new shop! Consider coming to Maker Camp this year, it would be great to see you there!
I’m trying to get him to hit Maker Camp sooner than later!
Based on the history of the building, I would say there is definitely “room to grow”
love watching him and his videos
Love Cam!
👍👍👍👍
9/3/23; congrats on acquiring 14 acres & an old wood structure needing... lots of...creative content for many YT videos far into future retirement.👍🪚🔨🍷😊 Stay safe & carry on!💪
none of my business but I am curious.....how did you get him to do this video?
We’ve known each other for a while and were both mutually down to make it happen 🤘🏻
Cam, watching you for a long time. I am in heaven watching your growth. Just awesome my friend. I pray you have the best success. 5,000 sq ft? That’s a dream come true. Blessings.
Hi 👋, BlackTail studio, I wish you all the success for the future, congratulations on buying a piece of property, as this is the best way to run your business is from where you live and your workshop all in one place you can control your finances a lot better, when I started working for my self, back in the 70s , all you could do was advertise in magazines, papers, word-of-mouth, which I found, was one of the best results,
Congratulations blacktail studios. All the best for the future. , Phil from the moulin
👍
Hey Cam if you're here, I just want to say you are the perfect example of can do attitude.
Good luck with the new workshop, I wish a could come along and help, its right up my street but unfortunately not on it!
Best wishes from Scotland
David
First of your vids I've seen, been watching Cam for a while. Great convo and interview! Even though you aren't clearly asking the questions you get them to answer in a way that we know what you are going for. Would be fun to even see how friends and family take their UA-cam 'fame' and how that has changed people as well.
Thanks for watching and I appreciate your feedback!
If we want really great Mexican style food, we go to the same place. The drive from South Salem doesn’t take that long, when the food is that good. Been watching Cam’s videos since the beginning, always look forward to a new one.
Big fan of CAM new sub to Mabie...... bravo
Thanks so much for the sub and following along!
I actually hit pause to read the hater comments. Your replies were hilarious! Btw, I think he really meant 'doggy.' There's an industry sector for that type of furniture, in case you want to branch out. 😂
I've been a Cam sub for ages, I love his videos & his projects, but his witty comments to the haters at the end of the vids are my fave part, that & his un-pc jokes n commentary. He's absolutely one of the best YTers I sub to!
By far my favorite woodworking you tuber!! For lack of a better term, he seems like a regular Joe that you could easily have for BBQ cookout
Great work! So happy to see how far Cam has come and excited for the future.
I fully expect to see tube content on the renovation of you new drug lab, ah oops, your new work shop.
I enjoyed the video, but…… you didn’t introduce the dog!
If your ever in Australia, I’ll buy you a beer
How incredible, your new shop, what you have built from ground up! Good for you man. Appreciate the videos
Cam is the first wooding channel I startled watching and have watched every video he’s made love his style and a sense of humor . Great success on your new property in Congratulations. Can’t wait to see what you do with it.
Your job IS a “real” job! I know it’s a ton of work lol. Just bc you mostly like it doesn’t make it not a real job 😂
Cam is THE SHIT
Just for the record I’ve had that carne asada and it is indeed phenomenal.
really well done documentary, and Cam seems like the best guy to know
LOVE CAM! ALSO, I'VE ALWAYS WANTED A SHOP I COULD PLAY FETCH WITH MY DOG IN!
Looking forward to seeing your new place man
This guy is one of the few that is talented enough to make good$$$
Cam is pretty cool guy for being in Oregon
Aw man we need a build video on the new shop setup 🙏🙏🙏
I’ll have to check this cam guy out …
Why no questions about the elephant in the room…is he matthew mcconaughey’s doppelganger?!
I’ve thought this forever!!!
Keep making these videos! They are awesome and motivating for me to get mine going.
More on the way!!
Thanks for this vid. I think you captured what’s so entertaining about Cam: he’s a real guy who isn’t afraid to fail. He doesn’t try to be perfect. He’s happiest when he’s trying something new and doesn’t know if it’s gonna work. His success is because he’s relatable.
Being a Med Flight helicopter pilot takes no small amount of intelligence, nerve and balls. Not a profession for the meek or timid. Cam has brought his experience, nerve and balls to this new chapter and I am thankful he shares it with us. Thanks Cam.
Good video!
Cool
Cool.
I think the honesty and the mistakes makes the video more relatable.
Oregon is well known for our high end drug labs 😂
Love Cam. My whole family watches his videos now.
You know that you made it, when Mabie calls for the interview!
Hahaha I don't know if that's the case but I definitely appreciate the sentiment!
Blacktail Studio is an amazing interesting and entertaining channel :)
Cam is the goat!
Marijuana is legal in Oregon.
I really wish he would do those think out of the box video’s. It shows his vulnerability and transparency. I love watching him create anything because I honestly have no clue to woodworking. 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
