My Tuesday nights are reserved for Oak Island and have been from the start. I’ll watch til the end and feel sure they’ll find treasure. I hope they continue excavating the island even after treasure is found to find more things in the swamp and Lot 5. I thoroughly enjoy every show and every artifact they find. The possible Venetian glass bead is an incredible find. Please stay with it.
I’ve been watching from the start. I too read the readers digest story as a kid in my dad’s dental office. Kids in the neighborhood built tunnels and forts in the woods behind our house. I’m hoping my husband and I can visit and help digging.

I have watched since day one. I also read the story in Readers Digest. Wish i had kept that copy. I love the geology, and the history they have uncovered. Much better then soap opera's.
I also read the Readers Digest article when l was younger and have been curious ever since then. I, too, have watched since day one. I now don't care too much if they find treasure, l am more interested in the history of what went on at Oak Island. It's obvious to me that several events have happened over the centuries, one of them being ship repairs and staging area for pirates and the military
I believe that initially, everyone wanted these brothers to unearth enormous amounts of gold and gems! Then, when they began to find these prehistoric megolithic structures-such as the Stone Road, Snake Boulder Mounds, drainage systems, waterways, and the fact that the entire northeastern portion of Oak Island was an ancient add-on harbor-I started to get enlightened about history.
Sorry dear, but even if the history of this island started at roman times that would NOT be called pre- historic and the structures are NOT megalithic...

The interesting part is the scientific testing on the dates of the wood found in the tunnels and the swamp area and the various metal objects and coins from Europe are providing new information to the archeological community about early European visits to North America.
Guys, cut these guys some slack, they are putting a lot of effort into seeing what is down there, they are regulated buy Canada and historical society. Everything is being documented. I’m just as excited as everyone else
These shows are totally made up nonsense, I have family who live in Nova Scotia and PEI (Canada) and they have never heard of the Curse of Oak island, lol. What happened to the History Channel? My absolute favorite show of all time. I remember watching something about Oak Island when I was a kid and have always been fascinated by it and always wondered what was going on on the island whenever it crossed my mind. Which was quite often. I also wondered why there wasn't a show made about the work going on because I knew that would bring in the money needed to figure it out and then BAM! The Curse of Oak Island came outta nowhere. Now, if we could just get the narrator to shut up and just let the work speak for itself it'd be that much better. We don't need the added drama for shows to be great anymore. The narration comes across as fake and unnecessary. The story and the finds themselves are so fascinating that trying to add drama on top with the narration only takes away from the finds.
@@johnwoa you may be right, but it's still my favorite show. It's what they call a docudrama.... It's really happening, but they add as much unnecessary drama as possible because they don't trust that the work would sell itself
I have watched this show from the beginning and look forward every week to seeing the latest programme. For me its the bond of friendship and determination that they all share. My personal opinion is that there must be a cavern under the island somewhere with an entrance under the water. Something like Pirates of the Caribbean, which is why they get so much water when they drill. The hatch the valve and the pump as indicated on Zenas map are possibly a way to control the water. Keep it up guys.

The cave might indeed have been a mine. It is very possible that Oak Island was the site of gold/silver mining deep underground in the very distant past when the sea level surrounding Oak Island was much lower.

In the past when ocean levels where lower. There where probably caves around the island. People used to go in them. Later the ocean levels increased and the caves became submerged. There many places like this in South America.

The Geological Survey of Canada conducted research at Oak Island in the 1990's, bathymetric maps were made of the shoreline and the Mahone Bay seabed and the scientists stated that the sea level surrounding Oak Island was rising at the rate of 30 centimetres (12 inches) every one hundred years. With the slowly-rising sea level over the past two millennium, the cavern(s) and the shoreline entrances are now completely underwater and inaccessible.

People think the stone for things like the pyramids had to come from hundreds of miles away. They only take into consideration the available resources from above present day sea levels. There is an entire other ancient Egyptian city under the ocean. They have pulled up artifacts. It has the same writing and reliefs. It is definitely the second kingdom on ancient Egyptian depictions. It is just under the ocean now. Many things are wrong. Like they could not cut stone without diamonds. When the ocean level was lower the had lots of diamonds.

They found many gold artifacts in these caves. The people had to dive under water to get in them. It is possible someone found similar caves there on the island.
This is one of those perfect shows that immediately makes you fall asleep. The episodes all follow the same cadence and the very first show is the same as the 75th show.
What Samuel Ball found buried in shallow holes by pirates/privateers on the island is something completely different from "whatever it is" that was buried/concealed deep beneath Oak Island in the Money Pit (i.e. the Chappel Vault) in the very, very distant past.
This might be something you guys have tried, I don't know, but here it is. Dye or another form of traceable material can be introduced into the water where the tunnels water source comes from. From your prior shows you found tunnels at the beach of the island. Once the source is determined, shut it down by packing CLAY into the source tunnels.
This show is about patience and preserving what was meant to be held a secret before us. It’s not their fault most can’t understand the dignity/respect/due diligence these guys are showing!!! Couldn’t think of a better group of people to solve this mystery. Unlike the ones before and most of the general population would just go guns a blazing and start ripping the ground apart draining money along the way. This takes a large budget and well thought out plan which is exactly what they are doing! These dudes have already banked and positioned themselves to gain tremendously with tours and what incredible things they have found. This show isn’t for simple minded idiots! Keep on rocking fellas you’re doing great and some of us are glued no matter what!!
In 1965 I believe it was I read the same article in reader's digest that the Lagina brothers read and was very interesting to me as I love mysteries !!!! To see that they are following their dream is just cool to me .The history part is pretty exciting also Just hoe they get a great return on all the time n money invested.Good luck guys .We love you n your mystery .Keep on Keeping on!!!!

The cave was made by wind and wave, tide ebb and flow many millions before the Island sunk. Yes stuff like this happens over geologic time periods. Oh well mystery solved.
At this point, if they don't find treasure I don't know what my life even is anymore. I've watched this show since the first episode, a decade of my life to nothing but simple finds. I sincerely hope they do find something, not for their sakes, but for us viewers who have invested so much time.
Actually, you have only lost about 1 year of your life being they only cover about 3 minutes of material in every episode. You have lost 1 year of your life and relived that year 10 times over.
AND...who do they not suction out the water and silt in these caves some so they can get a better view of the inside of them might also help determine how big the caves are by water volume if it's not coming into tunnels to fast....would have been especially especially helpful when they had smith cove dammed up probably need to do that again and then finish tunnels and excavations on a large scale or dig up and plug the "box drain" they found in smith cove.....
I was on the island last year. Hopefully I would bump into someone but I didn’t, there’s got to be something there there were so many different stories.

A LOT LOWER! Remember the structures they discovered that were eight (8) feet below the surface of the beach at Smith's Cove when they erected that huge dam years ago. The sea level surrounding Oak Island is rising at the rate of 30 centimetres (12 inches) every one hundred years.
I think since they are digging on a island water will always be a issue, yes the sea levels was different back then but water will always be a issue no matter how far they dig down
@@MrTdollarsign But when that was first done or things were first buried there ,somehow they knew how to beat or get around the water issue. If you were to dig a deeper pit somewhere close to where your initial suspected treasure was,. That deeper pit withdrawal the water from every place else into the deeper pit and pump that out that way it should let your money pit empty. Because the water would flow towards the deeper pit. Just an idea?
I can remember where I was at when I first heard about Oak Island, I was sitting in the Clinic when it was on Main Street in Madison, Indiana ( not sure of the year ) While waiting to see my doctor I picked up a copy of Readers Digest and low and behold there was a well written story all about Oak Island. I started reading it and was about half way finished when I was called back to see my doctor. I put the book back on the shelf but I hid it in the very back....." yep " as soon as I was done seeing the doctor, I went right back to get the book and took it home with me to finish it ! Yes I stole it, but I had to finish the story, but it just left me hanging, never knowing if the treasure was ever found ! And Lord knows how many decades later they are still searching !!! I hope I live long enough to see how this mystery finally unfolds 🤔🥱🫤

Have been watching the last few seasons. It's possible there was treasure buried there very long ago but I believe it was redug up and moved elsewhere!! That's what they can only find trace amounts of gold in the water samples!!

Oak Island is one of the longest running soap operas yet. A new crew will still be looking for that mythical treasure in 2050. Better odds of treasure hunting in the Philippines searching for stolen Japanese WW2 gold, some of it has been found, a lot more hasn't.
Why would they not lower high powered led lights in the 2 holes already in Aladdin’s cave and a camera in the other to see as much as possible. Also, the water pouring in the garden shaft is “salt” or “fresh water? Why would they not be interested on where it’s coming from?
This show has changed the history of North America revealing that the Knights Templar were here as early as 1200AD. I just wish they'd find the Temple of Solomon treasure and unearth the Spanish or Portuguese ship out of the swamp and see if there's any treasure there

Very skeptical, why? with all the water that is present how would 17th century or earlier people have been able to dig a tunnel at that depth with those conditions?

That being said, the sea level surrounding Oak Island was much lower in the very distant past apparently allowing for access to the cavern(s) via "now-submerged" cave/niche entrances at the Oak Island shoreline and the lower sea level would have allowed for the digging of underground tunnels for purposes such as gold/silver mining. Well it must have been before 1622 then because Plymouth Rock has that date carved on it and it's still above the waterline

What Samuel Ball found buried in shallow holes by pirates/privateers on the island is something completely different from "whatever it is" that was buried/concealed deep beneath Oak Island in the Money Pit (i.e. the Chappel Vault) in the very, very distant past.

This might be something you guys have tried, I don't know, but here it is.
Dye or another form of traceable material can be introduced into the water where the tunnels water source comes from. From your prior shows you found tunnels at the beach of the island. Once the source is determined, shut it down by packing CLAY into the source tunnels.

This show is about patience and preserving what was meant to be held a secret before us. It’s not their fault most can’t understand the dignity/respect/due diligence these guys are showing!!! Couldn’t think of a better group of people to solve this mystery. Unlike the ones before and most of the general population would just go guns a blazing and start ripping the ground apart draining money along the way. This takes a large budget and well thought out plan which is exactly what they are doing! These dudes have already banked and positioned themselves to gain tremendously with tours and what incredible things they have found. This show isn’t for simple minded idiots! Keep on rocking fellas you’re doing great and some of us are glued no matter what!!

The cave was made by wind and wave, tide ebb and flow many millions before the Island sunk. Yes stuff like this happens over geologic time periods. Oh well mystery solved.
At this point, if they don't find treasure I don't know what my life even is anymore. I've watched this show since the first episode, a decade of my life to nothing but simple finds. I sincerely hope they do find something, not for their sakes, but for us viewers who have invested so much time.

Actually, you have only lost about 1 year of your life being they only cover about 3 minutes of material in every episode. You have lost 1 year of your life and relived that year 10 times over.

AND...who do they not suction out the water and silt in these caves some so they can get a better view of the inside of them might also help determine how big the caves are by water volume if it's not coming into tunnels to fast....would have been especially especially helpful when they had smith cove dammed up probably need to do that again and then finish tunnels and excavations on a large scale or dig up and plug the "box drain" they found in smith cove.....
I was on the island last year. Hopefully I would bump into someone but I didn’t, there’s got to be something there there were so many different stories.

Question is , how was the water issue dealt with when it was first built ? I'm sure sea levels were a bit lower then.
A LOT LOWER! Remember the structures they discovered that were eight (8) feet below the surface of the beach at Smith's Cove when they erected that huge dam years ago. The sea level surrounding Oak Island is rising at the rate of 30 centimetres (12 inches) every one hundred years.
I think since they are digging on a island water will always be a issue, yes the sea levels was different back then but water will always be a issue no matter how far they dig down

If you were to dig a deeper pit somewhere close to where your initial suspected treasure was,. That deeper pit withdrawal the water from every place else into the deeper pit and pump that out that way it should let your money pit empty. Because the water would flow towards the deeper pit. Just an idea?
I can remember where I was at when I first heard about Oak Island, I was sitting in the Clinic when it was on Main Street in Madison, Indiana ( not sure of the year ) While waiting to see my doctor I picked up a copy of Readers Digest and low and behold there was a well written story all about Oak Island. I started reading it and was about half way finished when I was called back to see my doctor. I put the book back on the shelf but I hid it in the very back....." yep " as soon as I was done seeing the doctor, I went right back to get the book and took it home with me to finish it ! Yes I stole it, but I had to finish the story, but it just left me hanging, never knowing if the treasure was ever found ! And Lord knows how many decades later they are still searching !!! I hope I live long enough to see how this mystery finally unfolds 🤔🥱🫤

Have been watching the last few seasons. It's possible there was treasure buried there very long ago but I believe it was redug up and moved elsewhere!! That's what they can only find trace amounts of gold in the water samples!!

Oak Island is one of the longest running soap operas yet. A new crew will still be looking for that mythical treasure in 2050. Better odds of treasure hunting in the Philippines searching for stolen Japanese WW2 gold, some of it has been found, a lot more hasn't.

Why would they not lower high powered led lights in the 2 holes already in Aladdin’s cave and a camera in the other to see as much as possible.

This show has changed the history of North America revealing that the Knights Templar were here as early as 1200AD. I just wish they'd find the Temple of Solomon treasure and unearth the Spanish or Portuguese ship out of the swamp and see if there's any treasure there

Apparently there has been visitation at Oak Island as far back as two thousand years ago. That being said, the sea level surrounding Oak Island was much lower in the very distant past apparently allowing for access to the cavern(s) via "now-submerged" cave/niche entrances at the Oak Island shoreline and the lower sea level would have allowed for the digging of underground tunnels for purposes such as gold/silver mining. The Geological Survey of Canada stated in the 1990's that the sea level surrounding Oak island was rising at the rate of 30 centimetres (12 inches) every one hundred years. Rick Lagina even mentioned this sea level fact in one of the episodes a year or two back.
You can tell by the way they were reacting by the water dripping down on them they are office guys
