I am from the Netherlands and I am Turkish but when I check wikipedia and from what I read I honestly believe India is lying about the F-16 and the SU30. They already lied about the helicopter being downed by ''a technical issue'' and then 6 months later they say it was friendly fire says enough.

if we compare price and age one must admit JF-17 is a great plane
China should really sell some J10Cs and J11Ds to Pakistan, as India has got Rafales and Su30s. J11D is real good but has no chance to be put in PLA as they have got J20s. I bet Shenyang Plane Manufacturer really want to sell some J11Ds, they urgently need some money for losing the competition of China's 5th gen fighter. J11D is surely the 2nd best fighter in China, the best Su27 modification, and the best 4+Gen fighter in the world, much better than old, poor-maintained Su30MKIs. Use them with PAK-03 will boost the power of PAKAF to another level.

@@lowgalaxy7232 J11D is a heavy fighter, whereas the J10C is a mid fighter. the PK government wants an upgrade to the currently aging F-16s, and given that the US is unlikely to sell them the latest F-16 version, it's logical to conclude that PK will buy the J10C instead. PK's airforce is mainly defensive, so they don't have a pressing need for long range heavy fighter yet, which is what a J11D is.

Sell them to Taiwanese - their stupid government like to pay a lot for rubbish. Use that money to get some j11Ds then we can say the sky of Pakistan is really protected.

Both are fantastic. The JF-17 has more modern avionics in some regards, however, you pay for what you get in the F-16. Block 2 JF-17 is an 8g, Mach 1.6 jet while the F-16C Block 52 is a 9g Mach 2.1 jet. The F-16 boasts a MUCH better thrust to weight, sustained turn rate, and payload capacity. The JF-17 block 3 will put it on par with the F-16, while at a much lower cost. It is also important to note that F-16s are easily upgraded with the latest gadgets like AESA radars and IRST. Just because the F-16 is old doesn't mean it's outdated. They are both 4th gen airplanes being upgraded to 4+ gen.
@Blackbirdz2000 hey bud, the specifications I listed for the JF-17 are indeed for the block 2. Do your research before making corrections :).
F-16 has proven its worth for decades. And for JF17 to even come close to being compared to an F16 is in itself a huge compliment for Jeff. JF-17 block 3 will surpass F16s Pakistan Airforce flies in all aspects and will come close to some of the most advanced F16 variants around the world. If PAF made the shift to WS13 engine, it truly will be a very capable fighter for years to come.
@@AliSherrr I agree to an extent but the specs on Block 3 are not that well known. I doubt they will put a WS15 in it dude. Thats like like putting an F135 in a viper. Too big.
@@EEEEEEE354 The aerodynamic performance of the Block 3 might not be much different than the Block 2 tbh, most of the upgrades are entirely internal - avionics, radar, etc.
That said, it will be fitted with a WS-13E eventually, just a matter of time, so that should lead to increased specs in the future.

The F-16A is the still the most agile and maneuverable dogfighter ever built, in terms of maneuverability at high velocities it would trounce the SU30 despite the overrated thrust vectoring. Bottom line is in WVR a F-16 can still take any 4 or 4.5 gen aircraft down.....And damn its still the best looking aircraft ever built.Regards

No, F16 was credited for those at PAF Museum Karachi.
No only mig... india doesn't keep sukhoi in kashmir because if pak Carrie's out bombing, iaf will suffer heavy losses, so su 30 is kept in south india and islands.
Mig 21 is kept at srinagar and pathankot afb also mirage 2000. So possibility is that only 1 mig 21 was shot and traded with one jf 17/f16 shot down by mirage

JF-17 isn't as manoeuvrable as the F-16; it's a big upgrade over the F-7P, Mirage III and Mirage 5 but in terms of all out performance, the F-16 still has the edge.

block 3 is not public. we dont know anything about it for certain to compare it
Block 3 if made will be a copy of F-16 Block 70/72 . even in those comparison F-16 will have more power because of engine which puts out 139 KN of thrust. JF-17 puts out 85.3 KN. unless they are changing the design and engine of the Jet it wont do much. high thrust is why F-16 was able to go vertically right away
Block3 radar is the KJL7 which is at same level as the one used on F35, and defeat Rafael F3 easily. But most important is like old saying in China: Teaching someone fishing better than just giving fish. Any event heard HAL Tejas which has been developed for three facades. That was a big joke.

In the presence of advanced beyond visual range weaponary and AESA radar, JF17 doesn't need thrust, payload and range at all. Pakistan air force is one of the first airforces to fly F16 and the design of JF17 has a lot of key design features taken from F16. It might not be as punchy as F16 but definitely has more advance avionics and it's exactly what was needed for PakAF. This is why it's the best plane for our specific needs.
Actually both are the most beloved fighter jets of PAF. Both are our frontline defenders ❤️❤️

The JF17 is a good aircraft... It might not be able to execute high and tight turns like an F16, probably due to a lower thrust to weight ratio... But priced at 17 million a piece... The JF is a bang for its buck.

F-16 has superior engine. Thats why we notice a little delay in JF-17 turns. The F-16 in this clip is Block15 which is old where as the JF-17 thunder block 1 has stronger radar, the BVR capabilities etc where as this f-16 used had lack of BVR missile capability. But now these F-16 have Radar upgrade and BVR missile firing capabilities but on the other hand JF-17 Block 3 has made its first flight with state of the art AESA Radar, PL15 BVR Missile with 300KM+ range which leaves behind the latest f-16 block 52s in Pakistan Airforce. so we can see a little less agile but with lethal weaponry , the jf-17 is hero of today.
Zia Ur Rehman the Radar used in the JF-17 is the Chinese KLJ-7A. An absolute maximum range of 200KM, not 300KM. The F-16C/D Block 52 uses the AN/APG-68 with an absolute maximum range of just under 300KM.
The JF-17 Block 3 plays an important part in modernizing the Pakistani Air Force. But Pakistan’s F-16C/D and F-16AM/BM MLU will still be the premiere fighter of the nation.

@@minus21334 huh? Just because the missile’s doesn’t travel 300KM, doesn’t mean the plane’s radar can’t track at 300KM. In the first place, why would you want to shoot at the edge of your tracking ability? You can’t confirm a hit when they leave your radar range after you fire on them.
Also, judging by radar and electronics, the J/F-17 lags behind either of those F-16 variants. So if the F-16C/D and F-16AM/BM MLU are obsolete trash, the J/F-17 must be worse than that.

@@minus21334 yes. The block III J/F-17. Also, the radar’s tracking ability is public knowledge. The PL-15 missile which can operate at ranges of 350KM wasn’t designed specifically for the J/F-17. It was designed with other Chinese platforms in mind. Chinese platforms that can track at those ranges.
The J/F-17 itself was designed because the Pakistanis wanted a cost effective product that could mimic what their F-16’s do since that’s what Pakistan’s air doctrine consists of. That cost effectiveness comes at a trade off. Of course, I’m talking about the F-16C/D and F-16AM/BM MLU’s superiority in radar and electronics.
