HEY Y’ALL! Merina is my name and Mobile Home Livin’ is my thang! Around here I’m known for mobile home makeovers and large family mobile home livin’! I used to do mobile home livin’ in a trailer park in Tennessee. We’ve set out on a new journey and bought our dream home - a double wide mobile home on some acreage in the hills of Tennessee! As a young Mom the above is first, second always be honest with your kids allow them a safe place to talk even when it’s hard for you let them know you always listen and are there to help. This foster a open relationship which when they get older makes a wonderful relationship. Also give yourself Grace, kids are very different from each other and they don’t come with instructions what works with 1 doesn’t work across the board. Allow yourself to not know, learn and do better and loving your kids and showing them love they will be forgiving when you may not handle something the best on the first go!
Great advice! My grandson even when in a mood always looks at my face when he sees me bc there's always a grin or a silly face waiting to brighten his day! And he always has to smile too even when he tries not to 😂

I've balled my eyes out over the loss of binx. I lost my beloved German shepherd and my precious Chihuahua 12 days a part 2 summers ago, and I still cry over the loss. It hurts!

Advice for young moms from a 58 year old mom and grandma, always, always be the soft place your kids can land. Be their safe place with unconditional love.

I have 4 adult Sons, divorced when they were small from an abusive husband. From the time they were very young I told them. There is nothing you can’t tell me. The good and bad. They did and still do. I was and am their landing pad, I am home to them. They joke now too saying “I bet you regret that” 😂 No I sure don’t.

Best advice for a young mom:
The days are long but the years are short. Time goes by so fast to worry about the small stuff. If you’re overwhelmed, walk away and take a breather. But try to enjoy every moment. One day you’ll laugh about the nail polish painted in the closet door or the doodles on the wall. I wish I didn’t stress so much over the little things when my kids were younger.

Since I see people giving Mom advice on here, I'm going to join in. Teacher's job is to teach "reading, writing, & arthimatic", their 3 R's. Parents job is to teach the other 3 R's " : Respect, Responsibility and Resorcefullness" !!!

After years of trying, my daughter and son in law is going to have a baby. ❤They are naming her Rellie Caroline after his grandmother and her grandmother. I think that’s so sweet. You can tell that I’m ecstatic about being a grandmother at almost 60 years old. Love you Merina. Keep praying us and we’re going to keep praying for you and family, friends and especially the ones that leave mean comments. They need it the most and you are the one that has taught us to be forgiving and spread kindness.

Merina, the morning after my poodle, Lucy, passed away I too had the same blessing from God of the clouds in the sky turned into her image. My mom saw it as well. I believe God was letting us know they are in His care, and we will be reunited with them someday.

It's hard losing a fur baby ..I just tonight lost my old man, Kitty Hardy, and the month before I lost my skittles from renal failure, he was only 7 ...I had a really long cry ...I feel like God would not create such amazing animals if he didn't want them back one day...our hearts don't understand this...God bless sending a big hug

Time together and experiences shared are far more important than lots of toys. Letting your kids see you and hear you apologize and hold yourself accountable when you lose patience or screw up and you owe them or spouse or someone an apology.

You could put another piece of wood across the bottom of the screened porch area where the dogs lean on it. That is what we did and we didn't have to replace the screen anymore! Sending love to you each day - I know the loss, heartache and emptiness - Hugs to you!

I am one of those older moms and I was also a single mom. So a few things popped into my head for the sweet momma asking for advice for a younger mom. Your kids will grow up very fast so take advantage of every moment you can to spend with them or just talk with them. They will remember that and appreciate you for it. They will watch you to see how you deal with situations and how you react to things. I tried to take a quick second or so before I reacted because my son was watching and learning from me. Don’t be afraid to ask for or accept help. Something I learned from my mom was not to rob someone of the joy of being a blessing to you.
Regarding your dogs tearing your screens on the porch. . . i’m sorry to tell you that you are going to have to do this project twice also.
We have had dogs and cats all our lives and we found out the hard way what we had to do to remedy this problem. Tell Shane to go to Lowe’s and ask to see the “hardware cloth”. It is metal screening that comes in a roll. You cut it to fit each section then staple your bug screen over it on the outside. We sold our last house after 18 years with the hardware cloth protecting the screening from ever being replaced. We had 3 dogs and 13 cats at that house. We now live in NC and had to do another porch when we moved here 17 years ago. We have not had to replace the screens yet - and the cats climb all the way to the top.
Downside is you have to re-do it. Good news is you won’t have to do it ever again. Since you don’t have cats you may be able to get away with just doing the bottom half. I’d try that first and do the top later if it’s necessary. To me it is also an extra feeling of security. Hope this is helpful. ❤
Just wanted to share something that I have always had to do on our screen porches because of our pets.we use LATTACE on the bottom of the porch to protect the screen. You still get air and can still see out saves A LOT ON SCREEN. .LOVE YOU. THINKING OF YOU! GOD WILL COMFORT YOU IN YOUR TIME OF NEED❤❤❤❤❤

********Suggestion: Instruct kids, Shane and you to Make Sure That Each Piece Of Clothing Is Turned Right Out. Then, wash, dry as usual, and folding will take LESS OF YOUR TIME. Goal, less time with laundry.
My grandchildren turn their cloths inside out. to preserve the color... I never had that much patients

Re living through grief - don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened (privilege of being with a loved one during their life) - this helps later on in grief I found. Hugs and much love for ya. I sit here feeling my heart breaking knowing what you are feeling. Chin up, keep living through it. ❤❤❤❤❤ Binx is a blessing and God called him back because he needed a Binx angel, that is what I have been taught.

58 .. 3 sons..7 grands. We live about 5 miles from them all. Got a call last night from one who is 8..he has been having anxiety from his parents leaving him. He was home with his brother who is 15, sis 10, 5.. parents at church at a meeting just 4 miles away. He called me totally in a break down down sobbing..said NeNe i need you.. grabbed my purse and took off! Talked to him all the way on the phone to calm his little nerves. Always let your children know they matter. That they are the most important person in the world to you. Time is the best treasure you can leave for your children. Create a calm safe christain environment for your family. Love your vlogs and family Merina.

marina just a quick tip when watering your plants do it from the top of the pot not the top of the plant as long as the soil is watered the plants will be happy and you'll have less spillage xx😂😂❤❤

I lost my fur baby about the same time you lost Binx. I've been doing alot of blocking the thoughts out to keep from breaking down everyday. Yesterday I was sent the picture of what her headstone will look like, and I cried my eyes out. Today was the first time I washed her food bowl since she passed, and I've cried on and off all day. I've thrown myself into decluttering my house to keep my mind preoccupied. Love you guys, y'all are still in my prayers. P.S. loving the cleaning motivation, and the pictures of your fur babies. ❤

Clouds! Yes! Merina, Binks was sending a little last sign for sure! Mine did too! When my soul dog Duke passed away, I have a video from years ago with the cloud that looked just like him that appeared afterward. I know it's hard, mourning and loss are really sad, but let yourself feel it and get it all out, and it will slowly get better over time. After Duke, I couldn't have any other animals because it hurt so bad, but a year later we rescued a kitten named Tater. He was the cat that could break through and helped us heal SO much, he was SO loving. He just recently passed away a few weeks ago, and I feel lost again. We are taking it day by day. Thank you for sharing your amazing life with us, you and your family always bring such joy! ❤

It's definitely hard to lose a fur baby. The necklace of Binx and the wall of the pictures of all of your dogs will always remind you that your dogs are always with you. The cloud of the wiener dog picture felt like that was Binx letting you know that he is still always with you 🙏❤️
I really think you should frame the cloud picture of binx. That is a beautiful memory to honor. I had a supernatural experience also during my grief my Midi (short for midnight). I was having a hard time like you and waiting for my husband who was at a drs. appt.. I started straightening up his work van and crying constantly. Out of nowhere I heard his favorite toy ( a ball with a bell inside). It really startled me. That toy was buried with him. God is good to comfort his children!

I have two Huskies the older husky she is the sweetest dog I have ever seen in my 46yrs of life. I’ve seen sweet dogs but this one is something special she was abandoned and we took her in I’ve NEVER heard her growl or anything like that. She’s a little big but she will crawl up in your lap stay there for days if you let her. The other husky is her son from her only litter before my son got her fixed and she’s been such a good mom. I can’t express enough how sweet she really is. She’s getting older and I can’t imagine her not being here. 💔

As an older generation parent, the best advice I would give is to realize even in the worst of days - ur children are a gift . I mean the biggest gift God will ever give u. He has choose u to raise and protect and live this child even in their worst days and we never know the length of time we have with them. I am a mother of 3, with 2 of my adult children already residing in heaven. I was blessed beyond but never did I believe or consider I would only have my daughter for 32 yrs and my oldest son for 40 yrs. And as lucky as I am- no parent should ever have to bury a child . So when they take a path u disagree with or break ur favorite vase - remember this will pass and tomorrow u will be grateful God choose u to be their Mother. I live with so much regret at being a hard momma, if only I could go back and remember it is not the end of the world and all will be well as long as they are still here. Love them for before u can blink they will be an adult raising their own and ur babies will be grown😪

My mother was a great mom. She loved the Lord. She was there for us. She always cooked our meals, cleaned our clothes, read to us, didn't criticize us when we messed up, played music for us, never minded having our friends and family over, sang a lot, made sure we learned about the Bible, prayed for us, took up for us. Loved us very much.

Coping with grief comes in many forms and one of those is keeping busy. Nothing wrong with trying to keep your mind occupied so you don't let yourself obsess and stress over the negative.
Our Heavenly Father has wonderful ways of showing us he’s taking care of our furry loves. I had the same cloud of my dog when he passed. They are like angels telling us they are more than ok. For the new mom help....heres my 2 cents!!! I've always tried to lead my life by The Golden Rule and do my best to be positive always. I learned earlier in my life that being negative only breeds more negativity, and it won't change anything anyway, so rise above!!!! Also always encourage, praise and love unconditionally!!!
For the girl needing baby name help... heres my suggestions: Lauren Elizabeth for a girl. I had wanted to name my daughter that, but of course, her daddy wouldn't have it! We compromised with Lori Anne. For a boy's name, I would choose Clayton Wesley after my grandfather.
In answer to that person on how to respond to a pushy person, as a 65 year old woman, I've had my share, so it's best to keep an open mind. I know it's hard, but for those people that profess to be Christian, but are more hypocritical, I always tell them that Jesus loves me just as I am and he's not finished with me yet with a smile on my face. That usually helps them see they overstepped their boundaries in a kind and gentle way. I hope that helps. I'm really looking forward to your 2nd living/kitchen redo next. I love the pics! I didn’t think I would like the white trim, but I am in love ( gonna do all 3 of my kids with each of their families ) . At 65 & 69 we have just bought our last forever home, a 1993 Double wide - painting all white and gray carpet in LR/ and a darker vinyl flooring in dining room. I go over and over all ur videos getting inspiration!! Thank you for all u do. U are definitely part of my household - I live on UA-cam waiting for ur next episode . But I have hope that with my doctors and medicine l will improve a little. After years of feeling bad hopefully l will be able to do more with my children and grandchildren. You and your family have made me enjoy seeing a truly loving family.

Please pray for me. I am the one going through a divorce after 30 years together He cheated with my best friend and she got pregnant. Also the judge ordered our house to be sold and when he signed it the buyers wanted everything to stay so the judge signed off and everything I own was in the house so I lost everything me and my son owned. I have nothing. We have nothing. What I have been collecting for over 30 years and family heirlooms. I don't know what I'm going to do. I also didn't say I lost my left leg due to an accident earlier this year. Im falling apart. Thats why finding a home is hard due to having a ramo. I can't walk up steps with one leg. I just need prayers. I cant take anymore. Maybe i need a channel just to make friends during this time. Most of my friends are mutual friends either with my ex best friend or my husband.😩 Also you asked if I had your email for resources,I don't

I understand what you’re going through completely. This May 1st my 20 yo Baby Jake retired over the rainbow bridge. My heart hurts everyday but with Gods help we both will get through this very hard time. On Mother’s Day’s, I received the message that his clay foot print was ready for pickup. It both made me relive all of the hard times but I’m glad I have it now. I kept his favorite blanket, first brush, and first halter. He will always be in my heart and in my memories. Merina, I am praying for you and your family. We had to help our 11 year old furbaby cross the Rainbow Bridge back in November 2023. I think about her everyday. I still cry some days. Binx was a handsome boy.
To keep the dogs from tracking in dirt and mud, put a towel by the door and wipe their feet before they come in.
