Please Bruce and Rasa, could you give the dimensions in metric system too each time ? You know, in France we can’t have it higher than 4,10 m if we want to move our tiny one day… So when we see such ideas, we can’t know if it’s possible for us without metric system 😅 ! Thanks and love ❤️! I love your channel for so long…
@@mireillenoa7997 didn't you notice they actually always tell the metric dimensions in the video (here they said 2.40 m width and 4.30 m height) and then translate them to feet and inches in the text? Also, you could easily use a converter to convert the dimensions back 😎). With max. 4.10 m you're still lucky in France, though. In Germany it's max. 4.00 m, respectively 3.99 m. Unfortunately, once you're tall, that makes things much more difficult! Already 10 cm more would help a lot for two-level split designs!
I love discovering outside the box designs, and this one is one of the most impressive I've seen. The whole family look delighted with it too, I'm so pleased for them. :)
@@jackfntwistyeah but what they do individually with the inside is what makes it fun. Personally I think that a wall garden on the outside wall where the AC is would be really cool.
Exceptional! There were 2 thoughts I had on the video: 1) in the USA, code would dictate some type of railing in the lounge area to prevent falling into the kids' bedroom below. (Sorry, was a liability litigation manager for too long, I see "risk" everywhere lol). Especially if renting it out. 2) I was amused that She was the architect but He kept talking over her explaining the designing process. 😅. They are both very proud of this beautiful home and rightly so.
When an architect, especially a female one with kids, designs a tiny house, you get something really cool and creative like this one! I'm also amazed at how well the girls get along.
first(almost)! The exterior cladding! The structure itself! The non-visible shed roof slant! And of course you can't go wrong with plywood interior cladding! Just every component of this beautiful home is so contemporary and the architect really did do a good job! Love seeing your uploads lbth, I always immediately stop my architecture project if I can and watch your uploads because I know I will never be let down when I see the homes you shoot!
I like that they built in a handy box to store the kids in (at 6:15). It must be nice to have someplace to store them when you need a little peace and quiet! 😁
What a beautiful example of form and function! The clever use of varying floor heights separates the function of each area while making you feel part of the whole. This is definitely in my top five on your channel.
This is the most children friendly, functional, comfy, space savy tiny house design I have ever seen. Well planned and truly work of an architect. The architect put her knowledge to the best.
Such a clever design that I had to watch the interior tour twice! As you said, Bryce, Alison has done a great job of using all 3 dimensions to make this space interesting, workable and comfortable. I am happy to hear that Alison is now doing tiny house design. I expect we'll see some more of her designs in the future. So glad we got to see this!
@missybekind5022 It definitely begged for another look - especially the 3D layers, and the whole intersection of the desk, upper bedroom and loft net. Some great ideas. It was cute to see when she opened the top.of the storage space by the couch and the 2 girls were in there. It demo'd how deep those spaces are!
It is a beautiful home for sure, but as a grandmother of 2 small girls all I could think about is all the places those adorable children could fall from. My nerves would never cope! Hahaha
Just when I think I've seen every type of design and layout of tiny homes built on trailers, this comes along. Absolutely fantastic! So many ideas can be pulled from this home. Thanks for sharing with us!
This has to be one of the best designs I have seen! It's so different from what I usually see of a tiny house. The layout is so well thought out and it also looks very spacious and not too cramped😁
I love how well designed this tiny is, with its different levels, cubby holes, and use of black joinery, plywood, and white cabinetry. Also the netted area for the kids to enjoy, as well as plenty of hide-n-seek places for them. Well done! Jenny USA
Sensational tiny..so many innovative ideas. The love and respect this couple share is so obvious and the home is a reflection of their intelligence and happiness. Congratulations on a superb result.
I think this is the 1st plan that I can't criticize for anything more than a difference of opinion. I value the realistic ability to entertain guests, and most tinys don't have that. They have the entrance benches, the dining booth, and the catwalk office all in the sightlines of the kitchen. Great for allowing guest or even the family to have their own space while socializing.
The use of the upstairs hallway as an office is what really sets this one apart. That is a neat idea. A passageway is wasted space, so don't. The only other tiny home I love that has a unique feature is Bear Tiny Homes that uses a sunken hallway on one side, and on the floor level it is closets and storage beneath it. The raise area is the matress platform (no box spring needed) and that also doubles as the bathroom and kitchen ceiling. You get full height standing room by the bed.
Amazingly beautiful, well thought out, and functional! The architecture did wonderful work. Kudos to her! I enjoyed seeing the couple so happy and proud of their accomplishments. They have a great vision for their property. As always, Bryce and Rasa, you did magnificent work! ❤
I love the houses featured on this channel, and I'd love to see some more homes built to withstand cold climates. I live in Quebec, Canada, so houses like this one are but a dream to us, because our walls are all about 15 cm thicker due to all the insulation and we also need to account for heaters and things like that. I remember there was a really cool tiny house built for Alaska that was featured at some point, please try to bring us some more like that 😁
Well, just use 10-12 cm of PUR (polyurethane) insulation and you'll be perfectly fine. Plus, if you want to safe further on wall thickness, you might combine polyurethane insulation with vacuum insulation panels or multi-layer aluminum insulation (for IR rays) on top.
a lot of them do have heating. you can get very small stoves.. i do wonder how efficient it is since you need small pieces of wood, but apprently theyre too hot for most.. so maybe in canada that would work..I wonder if putting a bathroom on one end and kitchen on the other would help you.. you could heat the bathroom qquickly and kitchens create heat,.. you cloudl have little pocket doors to keep the interior heat in more.. id do a roller blind and or the exterior metal doors to keep heat in with big French doors at the centre/ front in the living area.. that way you could close it when it is very cold and keep the heat in at night at least..
It took me the second time through to realize this is their second home and they are living there now while their house is being remodeled. Incredible design I love it!
Wow, just wow !! This is beyond beautiful. I love all those big windows, especially the ones on the side. Where you can just relax, look out the windows, read a book. That bathroom with that big shower. The big kitchen with every major appliance is just beautiful. All the sleeping and gathering areas. You can tell the children really like the space. She did s awesome job designing this tiny home.
My favourite. The creativity that has gone into utilising and liberating the space is so impressive. 4.5 metres is a lot of height to play with, and to be able to divide it horizontally and still retain the airiness of a tall volume is very skilful. Their tiny house designs are going to be in demand.
The amount of windows with the seamless cladding, and the touch of timber on the one end work amazing. Inside it feels like she made great used of the volume available
Not only I loved this inspiring design (maybe except for the plastic monstera house plant ;-), even more I was impressed by Ben's smiles. Especially when he looks at Alison 🥰.
Love the dedicated dining space, the upstairs hallway study desk and the unusual design of the second sleeping space. Thoughtful, clever and interesting design.
This tiny house is incredible & it’s location is spectacular. I really love the design and the natural light because of its glass windows. I thought it cost more to build it.Impressive!
It is such a beautiful home. The thumbprint photo is beautiful. I love the idea of multiple levels in the home with the storage. The levels add variety. I love the built-in sofa and the built-in dining area in the kitchen. There is so much light. It's a fantastic design! Bravo!
Unique and very nice! Not only the extra length, height and large windows, but the overall simplicity in use of plywood throught makes their design seem so much larger. Using the different levels in the living area with just the cushions is such a fun idea! You eyes are not focused on furnishings like we see in most homes. And looks like very minimal cleaning from using it as an AirB&B.
These people are golden retrievers in human form. I cannot imagine smiling for the entirety of a video, that too with a wide smile and talking that way.

Fabulous home! But the best part of this video for me was seeing the way Ben beamed when Allison was talking about her process. What a great couple and a lovely little family.
Extremely well designed, creating an overall fun and spacious multi-level home ... might just be one of the most incredible "tiny" homes ever featured.
I love watching walk-throughs of architects' tiny houses and small apartments ❤ I like seeing how they apply principles of designing livable homes and scale them way down to come up with functional tiny homes.
I adore visiting your tiny home in this tour. The colour of the wood and the spaciousness each of You have created in the layout. I like the dedicated seating at the kitchen. I send a smile from Canada.

Good evening, Bryce and Rasha.... Wow, what a home of different levels ...bedroom. living very smart and the storage in the floor on different levels....again very smart...you have your dining space that you don't have to keep putting away...lots of luck on all your projects ❤
Very nice. If I were to be living in it, I would want a much larger outside deck. Possibly even a wrap around deck, covered in the main area w/ dinning area, lounge, grill etc, & then the extended deck where it's more sunny w/ lounge chairs & decor. I hope Bryce stays in touch with them & re-visits them as they expand into a little tiny house village. That's well be cool to see the ongoing transformation.
