@@idamandahomestead4221 did you end up going back with your son? I saw lots of news reports of early end to the ice fishing season this year in many locations in our wonderful country.
Hello there, sorry I missed this comment until now! I did end up going with my son but it was weird weather. Warm days and then a cold snap. I guess the fish don't like that kind of change and so they weren't biting. I will have to try again next year!
I used to fish on Lake Simcoe. But the family farm was sold so i dont get up there anymore. With our winter i doubt if there is any ice on it this year.
I actually just got onto lake Simcoe last weekend but the next week they pulled all the huts off. I think they only had less than a month of fishing on it this year and even less around Cooks Bay. Sigh. Can't wait until next year though! Thanks for the comment!

Hello there! The hut had a gas heater in it and so it was warm enough to be in a T-shirt. We actually had to open the window to let out some of the heat! Thanks for the comment!
