I love how despite sounding calm to the untrained ear, you listen to this song over and it starts to feel empty and almost like artificial peace. The long gaps, the distorted crow calls, the deep grumbling in the background... It's all so professional and masterfully subtle. I would sacrifice much to have skill like this.

Today, I got my first bell by myself, got a cool new origin, got to kill the enforcer by myself for the first time, gotten the exact enchant I wanted and hit level 20. Right after I got out of the Depths, the intro of this song played. I didn't think I could feel so much joy off of a game like this.
Wish I could do that one been playing for 4-5 months and still havent even for a pwr 20 character my oldest one got to pwr 18...

The theme is so chill for a place that is practically a Murder fest
is it me or does something feel a little off about the track? the track itself is good yeah but it just gives you a vibe that somethings terribly wrong
if i were to hazard a guess, i'd probably say it's just whiplash - compared to the rest of the OST, the track sounds weirdly happy and cheerful. that's probably why it sounds jarring B)
but you raise a good point! considering that the Songseeker Wilds are a congregation point for those seeking to learn how to use the Song like mantracasters did in the days before the Cantaclysm, the off-vibe is more than understandable. they are trying to glean pieces of a world that is no more - and will never be again. considering how the ways of the Old World are directly to blame for the Cantaclysm and the current state of Deepwoken's world, the facts start to paint a much darker picture than the song might suggest by its tone.

Hey Naktigonis may i wonder why is song seeker ost place used a lot on some places like monkey's paw and fort merit? does that mean those places will have that as their ost forever or is just to fill up until you make the themes for each place?
we sometimes reuse tracks in unrelated areas as placeholders - fort merit is meant to be getting its own theme, it using songseeker music is a leftover from game testing. as for monkey's paw, not sure if it's getting its own theme, but maybe!
