    Given,
    s (height) = 15m
    mass = 1 Kg
    p=mv
    P=1xv
    using third law of motion....
    v^2-u^2=2as
    u=0, as coconut is initially at rest.
    on substituting u=0, in third equation of motion.....
    v^2-0=2x10x15 (on taking g=10m/s^2
    v^2=300
    v=√300
    v=10√3
    on substituting the values in p=mv.....
    p=1x10√3
    p=10√3 kgm/s(taking √3 = 1.732)
    p=10x1.732
    p=17.32 kgm/s
    Therefore, the momentum of the falling coconut is 17.32 kgm/s.

    Using kinematics,
    First we calculate the time it takes for the coconut to reach the ground...
    d = Vi (t) +1/2 (a)(t)²
    15m = 0m/s(t) + 1/2(9.8m/s²)t²
    Hence: t=√3 = 1.73
    To calculate the final velocity we use:
    Vf = Vi + (a)(t)
    Vf = 0m/s + 9.8m/s²(1.73s)
    Vf = 16.95 m/s
    Finally, the momentum when it hits the ground is:
    p = mv
    p = (1kg)(16.95m/s)
    p = 16.95 kg • m/s or 17 kg • m/s
    Which I think is pretty dangerous especially if it hits you directly on your head 😂

      You can directly go for the final velocity from v² -u² =2as ( a is acc due to gravity here , and s is displacement that is 15m and u is initial velocity which is 0 in this case ).

      You have made a little mistake on time calculation. Remember that, if in decimal the value is equal to or greater than 5, then we have to round the digit to the next digit. So, here, the time should be 1.75 s.
      That's why your answer is not correct.

    Initially the coconut was at rest so it's initial velocity 'u' will be zero. According to Newton's third equation of motion v^=u^+2as u=0 a=g= 9.8 m/s^ s=15m. v^=0+2×9.8×15 =294 so v=√294= 17.14 approx. Momentum =Mass × velocity. So P= 1kg×17.14 m/s. =17.14 kg.m/s

    Mass of coconut = 1 kg
    Velocity of it during reaching the ground = 17.3 m/s
    P = mv
    Momentum = Mass x Velocity
    1 kg × 17.3 m/s = 17kg m/s
    === So the momentum of the falling coconut is **17Kg m/s**.

    at the uppermost height
    u = 0
    v= ??
    h= 15 m
    g = 10m/s
    Now by third equation of motion
    v² - u² = 2gh
    v² = 2× 10 ×15 m²/s²
    v² = √300m²/s²
    V = 10√3 m/s = 10×1.73 = 17.3 m/s
    Mass of coconut = 1 kg
    Velocity of it during reaching the ground = 17.3 m/s
    Momentum = Mass × velocity
    1 kg × 17.3 m/s = 17kg.m/s
    So we clearly see that this is the sufficient amount of momentum to kill a person.

    so, v^2 =2gh
    v= (2x9.8x15)^.5
    v = 17.14 m/s
    P = mv
    p = 17.14 x 1
    p = 17.14 kg m/s

    the momentum of the falling coconut =mass of coconut * final velocity of coconut
    =1kg * final velocity(v)
    v^2=u^2+2as
    =0+2*10*15
    =150*2
    =300
    v=sqrt(300)=17.3m/s
    momentum = 17.3 kg m /s

    Sir,falling of coconut is enough to break anyone’s skull because the momentum of coconut will be 17.32 kg/m/s if g=10 and if g=9.8 the momentum will be 17.163 kg/m/s.
