On February 4, 2022, police identified a stolen black Jaguar being driven recklessly in Racine, WI. Further investigation revealed that the car was occupied by four teenagers, identified as gang members with a history of carrying firearms. Police also learned the driver had live-streamed a video from the Jaguar on the day it was stolen. During a pursuit, the vehicle collided with two other cars and all four teens fled on foot.

Most background checks are 7 years, but some are more depthful. There’s so many other factors aswell, like job history, education, type of crime, age, sex, behavior post offense, drugs etc.
Also anything abuse related, even things like child endangerment prevent u from getting SO many jobs.

"Taking" a vehicle without consent??? Shouldn't it be Theft of a vehicle? Even the wording of the crime is minimized.
The wording is used to include "joyriding," where the thief doesn't intend to permanently deprive the owner of the vehicle. It prevents thieves from getting charges dismissed by claiming that they were only "borrowing" the vehicle. "Taking without consent" is usually also included in grand theft cases, but it can stand as an independent charge if the DA isn't sure if grand theft charges will stick.
Legal wording is usually not as straightforward as it should be because the crimes usually aren't that straightforward either and the laws have to be interpreted to fit the crime

I'm German and dont 100% understand your system, but he runs all the charges get dropped and he only gets "punished" for failing to go to appear for trial while on bail? What is the lesson here? You dont have to fear anything as long as you manage to stand up and go to your appointment, because if he would had shown up nothing would had happen at all?

i had the video paused and they showed what happened to them after the dropped charges. I'm now even more confused. The judge thinks that all the things he was charged for are not valid and drops them, but he fails his probation for not showing up for trail for something the judge thinks he didnt do....? WHAT?

Edit: It also depends on the state the crime is committed. Certain states are very forgiving when enforcing penalties.

@ginger2770 I'm not an expert on Wisconsin law but I'm fairly sure you can't carry handguns in Wisconsin under age 21 without supervision of someone who is 21+. Then again I could be wrong on Wisconsin law. I'd agree that the 2nd ammendment should make it legal to bear arms but that's not always how it goes
