Outside of Picard season 3 and lower decks, ALL THE NEW treck shows have sucked, see these 2 characters, this is how you do lgbtq representation, not what ever the fuck discovery (or aptly shortened to STD😂) is doing
I really hope that they repair their relationship and get back together. I know they probably won't, but it would be nice and showing growth from BOTH characters.
The Lower Decks is all about the stuff that Star Trek always struggled with, character arcs. So much B5 influence in the best Star Trek series yet. Next, we'll have whole-season arcs, maybe even a whole-series arc, like the mass outbreak of AIs working together and replacing Starfleet and the Federation altogether... wow. Maybe all those god-like helmets and masks will come in handy defeating man-made threats.
I wonder in the upcoming Star Trek Lower Deck if Jennifer will make amend with Mariner since she's the one who broke up their relationship after the misunderstanding during Mariner's unauthorized interview with Victoria Nuzé because at the end of the Season 3 finale she didn't come to Mariner and apologizes unless Jennifer is very a shame of herself while feeling guilty for wrongly accuse Mariner for something that she didn't do.
@@Dinomatrix21 she forgave her friends and family, she most likley dropped jennifer like a sack of rocks. I konda hope she gets together with the vulcan lady, a bad girl vulcan is still hella stable by human standards and that may be exactly what she needs.
Honestly, I'm super disappointed that we barely got to see that relationship, and that pretty much became girlfriends offscreen. I want to see them date onscreen
This is basically the Lumity of Star Trek where the main girl and her bully or enemy become lovers and their both different species,( OH: human and witch- ST: Human and alien), but Lumity and we get more of it then Star Trek couple even though they have a shorter and better series. Ps: We need more Lumity!!! Also this lesbian couple is good two.
Enemies -> Lovers(although it was never confirmed whether they actually get to "lovers part) -> colleagues that tolerate each other. But i dis not like Jennifer in S3 and i was extremely glad when they cut down her screentime.
Mariner kind of reminds me of a Tundere and how she won’t admit her feelings for the blue lady lol 2:30 btw why do I feel like episode 3 is gonna be my favorite episode lol
Eh, representing fear. Werewolves are supposed to be scary, but we live in the internet era, so. . . Yeah. But, no, this time it actually represents Mariner's fear of commitment.
i don't care if she's a lesbian, but even with the references there is no real story behind how they first met. plus it's confusing because in the episode when boimler gets a possible girlfriend, she was acting way too jelly.
Not going to be an explicit sex scene, but Andorians are known for being poly and pansexual, so that part could happen. I think the most we'd get is implication, kissing and covered nudity.
Not really. She might be, but Mariner is clearly not cool with the gay relationship until she is being oxygen deprived due to burning candles in S03E06. She had some intrusive thoughts in S03E03 but nothing she was comfortable with. If she is anything she is probably more likely to be Bi or just simply Bi curious. They shoe horned in a half hearted romance plot to lure in homosexuals and they have pretty much used it as Gaybait. As if there was any sort of shortage of gayness in this gen of trek.
She's self-described as into the 'bad' thing (of any shape), and Jen seems to have a similar attraction to 'bad' Mariner, which oddly cancels out, sadly.
Actually its the personal stories and character growth that makes this show awesome in my opinion

I love that commitment is Mariner's secret wish AND biggest nightmare.

I love them together. Mariner, just admit you want Jennifer.

Holy Run-On Sentence, Batman! 😝😝😝
Hopefully season 4 they get back together.
I doubt it.
It seemed like they got back together at the end of the season considering Beckett forgave everyone WAY too easily.

0:56 we all know that she liked that and wanted to join them
Same.
anyone else noticed the entire time they were in the hallway she was staring at jenns butt the entire time?

Great point and perfect way to connect to my favorite show
I have to admit that I always found Jennifer to be very beautiful.
I'm gonna miss Mariner going out of her way to shove Jennifer
Jennifer reminds me of summer from Rick and Monty for some reason

An Andorian Werewolf in Star Trek?
Wait so what's the implication of "im fine being your hot andorian girlfriend" being Mariners fantasy. Is that like...species play?
They’re cute 🥰
Why does her nightmare version of Jenn *also* happen to be a werewolf? 😅
Eh, representing fear. Werewolves are supposed to be scary, but we live in the internet era, so. . . Yeah. But, no, this time it actually represents Mariner's fear of commitment.
Jennifer never really wanted mariner, she wanted the BAD GIRL persona mariner had been putting up all those years.

Unpopular opinion: Mariner, Boimler, and Jen should end up as a throuple by the end of the series, complete with a fully explicit sex scene
