Another awesome video David! I won't recognize SD if l ever make it back. So much has changed since I left on the last day of '07! You are living in an interesting place at the perfect time! I still think SD needs more art galleries. Can't wait til your next video! 🎉
Well then. Sounds like it’s a must you come back! Little Italy is going through a huge renaissance. East Village knocking on the door for the same! Heading east coast this weekend but filled a couple more before leaving for the NYC:)
@@DavidSpiewak Renaissance, funny you should use that word, because I've told people for the last 20 years that SD is going through "a building Renaissance" in the entire downtown. Extraordinary is another perfect word to use. I just wonder if people are remembering the "small things" like: preschools or kindergartens, enough pharmacies, services for Seniors, community centers, ATMs, dentists and urgent care, pet stores and veterinary services to name a few. SD should learn from cities like Tokyo, Milan, Stockholm, Amsterdam, Hong Kong, London, Taipei and Berlin. Q: is there an invisible wall between the Gaslamp Quarter and East village or have they become "one"? Does SD have anything in common with the cities listed or is it still a Junior City Wannabe? Has anyone bothered to write a book about what is happening in SD? I wonder...

@@coby7914 Great comment. I always say San Diego feels more like a big town than a city:)
