    I haven’t seen anyone else mention this but the implication that the blond child isn’t actually her daughter Alice but another child that she kidnapped and forced her daughters identity onto because she can’t live with the fact that her real daughter is gone. For examples, the tv can faintly be heard saying that a little girl has been missing for months and still hasn’t been found, the family photo shows a COMPLETELY different child which we can assume is the ORIGINAL Alice, and she has a white windowless van in her driveway, which is a stereotypical vehicle for kidnapping children.

    As a kid with an abusive mother, when I was as young as 5 I remember imagining these situations where my mother took it too far accidentally, and ended up killing me, and only then realizing the damage she'd been doing and the wrong in her ways. Whenever these vivid thoughts came into my mind I was disconsolable.

      @@prroductt It's well, thanks for checking❤️. I'm just starting out at a foreign university. There's even a certain dullness to the peaceful predictability now, but I'm sure I'll get used to it even though it's an entirely new way of existing for me😅. I'm still finding my identity after just surviving and learning to emotionally temper my abuser was a large part of it. The video was so true to the kind of claustrophobic horror one feels, amazing job.

      @@infjelphabasupporter8416 the way you're talking about it and saying how now there's a dullness to life without all that makes it sound like you're blowing it out of proportion and making it sound worse for drama. If someone really grew up like that I don't think they'd discuss it so casually and joke how life is so dull now. I mean if you did really live like that I'm sorry you did but I'm skeptical.

    • @infjelphabasupporter8416
      @infjelphabasupporter8416 2 місяці тому

      @@emdeejay7432 I'll admit it is strange, but I can't really explain it in any other way. What I mean with dullness, I guess, is that I'm not sure where my identity lies when I'm not fighting to protect myself. Anyways, things are changing quickly as I only moved out about a month ago. I feel a lot more content now. I have immersive daydreaming and I was afraid for a while it would leave me now that I no longer have constant stress to make me want to dissociate. I no longer think that fear is founded.
      Anyways I'm sorry if I made it sound like being safe is dull, it's not. Well, maybe for a while. It's just that there's an emptiness when such a large part of your identity is lost. When you stop fighting, you just feel tired. But I hope to substitute the survivor with something better.
      I won't apologize for laughing it out or any kind of humor though, as my trauma is mine alone I shouldn't be shamed into hiding it or discussing it only with sadness. People who have actually been through trauma speak of it casually as it was casual to us. Also, humor also helps, always. And the whole point of my response was let the creator of the video know that I'm ok and happy now.

Coupled with calling Alice "doll," all her comments on appearance, her fixation on the house being presentable while two corpses sat at the table... What makes me sob even more was i fear that when I become a parent I will be just like the mother. The abused becomes the abuser and I fear that I will become a monster I had always hated, the fact she kept on talking like Alice and the father was still alive, and the flashback of Alice saying that she thought the mom stopped smoking broke me badly. Voiced by my good friend Mo Mova, mother is probably the most iconic characters I’ve had here so far. So I am glad you could agree! I love what you said abt the villain mothers be quiet, I really wanted to break away from that cliché and make her just a really memorable character all around! So thank you for saying that!

      Yes it’s because she locked phoebe(alices friend) in the house when phoebe wanted to see if Alice was ok because she wasn’t in school for months or weeks, so basically that psychic mom was mad that the neighbor was staring at her when she was cleaning the window and so she went to the neighbors house and went in while alices body was rotting in the house alone, the door was left unlocked so phoebe sneaked in and went upstairs, and then a few minutes later of checking on alice phoebe was creeped out and then when she tried going out of the house at the front door that psychic mom was standing in front of her.

    Wow... since this short-movie has been released, I've seen it twice and it still fascinates me. It's awfully heartbreaking how much this mother comes through her daughter's moarn and her mental issues... confusing it with the hard teenagehood changings and family struggles... she's a horrible woman who's doing awful crimes but there are much more emotions than just terror and anger about her... she's sometimes even funny, strangely ! but i watched this two weeks ago when it popped up in my recommendations, and frankly, i didnt know how to feel by the end of it. i was sad for phoebe, angry at the mother, but i also couldnt help but sympathize with the mother, too. i couldn't stop thinking about it for DAYS.
    another thing i adore about this is the use of the camera shaking, such as the mother saying "now look what you've done" after killing david. she says it in such a low, menacing tone, and the camera shaking makes the scene so much more impactful. amazing job! well done on everytbing here!
