  • The famous site of celebrity handprints has an even bigger footprint on Hollywood history than many realize. It sits right in front of the lored Chinese Theatre, which opened its doors in 1927 with a celebration so grand, that it has been called the most spectacular in theater history. It is home to countless movie premieres, including favorites like 'Ghostbusters’ and 'La La Land.’ We'll take you inside the theater to see what the stars experience after they walk the red carpet.

That is a gross understatement. At a time when SOUND(talkies) had not made the scene(not until 1929) it will stand as a landmark on Hollywood Boulevard forever. Thanks for you contribution, Sid.

The only Hollywood movie palace I’ve been inside was the El Capitan! But one day when the pandemic is over, I want to take a tour of the theater. And one movie buffs dream is go to a premiere!

Today the footprint its only a promo thing, basiccally if you have a movie on premiere put some advertiser money and get the "honor" for any star in the film. They say its an honor, common guys, the cast of the twiglight have a mark there...

In reality is an UGLY Theater what makes it interesting is the old Hollywood history behind it otherwise the theater would've been demolished a long time ago. There are other Old Theaters in L.A that are nicer like The Mayan Theater and The Belasco in Downtown Los Angeles.
