great video, a detailed and well-explained showcase, however, I'd appreciate it if you could put a talent code into the description for each boss if possible (if you use any different talents, etc.) It would help a lot, thank you :D
@@NovaWarcraft I gave you a sub btw :D if you ever feel like it, pve sub guide would be welcome as well, I wanted to play but I ended up with terrible logs :D
Why death mark before thistle tea and not after? the bleed on Death Mark is still affected by the mastery of thistle tea so it would be useful to thistle before mark no? Also on 10:58 you do Fan > (2cp)Envenom > Shiv > Muti > (4cp)Envenom, isn't it better to just do 6cp envenom after all the procs? Your old one wouldn't have worn off. Not criticizing just legit curious if it's better to get off more lower cp envenoms or less higher cp envenoms Also on the opener, your first ambush also applies the Clear the Witness so it might be better to Fan rather than one of the Mutilates there?
Hey! No problem, you bring up some good points! So the deathmark, Thistle is off gcd so I'm basically doing them at the same time (my deathmark is binded) while I click my thistle on screen but it boosts damage/mastery pre-or post death. The mutilate at 10:58 was an error and not a good move, I messed up there and you're correct, I generally prefer higher cp envenoms. The opener I did was kind of out of habit with the trinket I had at the time that had a 2 sec cast time. So I basically opted to save Clear the witnesses proc and burn more energy with the mutilate so that when I have to cast that trinket during the cast time, my energy would replenish and then with burst cds clear the witness would save me a little more energy to spam mut / envenoms .. probably just like 2 extra honestly. All in all though, you are correct! =)
@@NovaWarcraft thanks for the fast reply, good point! I just got this cast time trinket few days ago so I wanted to adapt my rotation to it and ur seems pretty good :D Do you know if I change this trinket for something else how does the rotation change? Do I drop the envenom at the beginning and just go into DM/Shiv/KB after the bleeds and envenom after cds?
@@zerglin oh nice! It was a cool and pretty good trinket. So recently, I swapped to skardyn's grace (mastery on use) which is instant and I basically kept the same rotation but weaving in clear the witness earlier now instead of the extra mutilate. I've seen both ways where some players pop cds and go straight into DM/shiv/ KB and some that kind of prep with the envenom into it. Mechanics of bosses and your opener uptime will probably lend itself to getting to your burst faster but I honestly don't know which is numerically better. I'm more of a feel it out player which isn't the best for maximum efficiency anyway =)
On your rotation... why fan of knives? you said it so fast... clear the witness? Im new to rogue, not familiar with that. Also rogue is so hard. What you do here is absolutely wild
I'm sorry about that, I'll try to do better in the upcoming vids and thank you. So "Clear the witnesses" talent in the hero tree allows you to use a fan of knives after your most recent fresh application of Deathstalker's mark (when you ambush initially, or when you do a full CP envenom after if falls off). When you use FoK, it will do extra damage and award extra Combo points while being slightly cheaper than a mutilate. So it acts like a mutilate for that one time. TLDR: Whenever you apply a fresh 3 charge Deathstalker's mark, you can use Fan of Knives as a pseudo mutilate.
@@randomtext342 I try to, its not a huge deal if you miss a few of them but ideally you try to use 1 everytime you reapply a fresh Deathstalker's Mark. It's definitely more useful for any type of boss cleaves
So I'll basically do pooling after burst / lust / trinket phase until mechanic phase lets me save up full energy or until trinkets / cds are back up where we can thistle tea and burn through it. Most of the time, will clip the envenom buff a few seconds early is fine, it just depends if I'm going to need to reapply rupture, deathstalker mark or garrote soon. If everything is up an running, then you can wait as long as possible on envenom refresh. But its ok if you envenom a little earlier during pooling too.
@@NeonTubeGaming Hi! Caustic spatter will take care of most adds along with envenom poison bomb proc because the adds die too quickly. I tried to reapply and it resulted in net loss due to how little health they have. For 2nd boss on heroic, find the biggest add and reapply rupture into mutilate so you can proc caustic spatter of the big add for the add phases For the silken court bosses, try to keep up rupture and garrote on both of those though as much as possible
@@NovaWarcraft hey there! walked into my first heroic raid and hit blue parses and was wondering if there was anything i was clearly missing that could pull my dps behind? anything small or glaring you know without looking deep into a log? one thing i had i guess was that i wasnt using tea much i think outside of the kingsbane window but was unsure if there was any other time to use it or could i just freely tea? secondly, ive been envenoming at 5+ cp outside of the specific windows (echoing/7 cp talent) is this right?
@@NeonTubeGaming Hey! So one thing to keep in mind, gear starts to play a bigger factor compared to rotation deeper into the season due to BiS trinkets, tier sets, stat weights. As far as thistle tea, definitely use on in the opener with kings and and you could even throw in a 2nd towards the tail end. I like to use my 2nd and 3rd after depleting a lot of energy in the burn phase but I also don’t run sanguine blades currently. Don’t sit on 2 or 3 charges of thistle tea for too long because you would be missing out on extra mastery and energy / ability spam. If you feel like you got the rotations down pretty well it could be due to gear stats/trinkets and even at times, your raid group. If you aren’t getting any buffs like PI or prescience, if your raid group does things slowly or doesn’t group adds for AOE as well, it could also affect your parse
So now that we have the possibility to get 7 combo points these days and finisher damage is increased, I think there's more wiggle room with that rule. Its still technically a way to be more energy efficient because if you mutilate at 5cp, there's a chance you could have gained more than 7 combo points with crit and seal fate procs, therefore losing energy. Personally, since I'm spec'd into both stratagem talents, even if its not the most ideal thing, I like to get use out of max CP envenom finishers and it also helps me ensure that I'm refreshing deathstalkers mark passively if I don't have an anima-charged CP up.
@@milansovilj1247 Yes I do. I typically do this in the opener: Ambush one of them, swap to other instantly and garrote rupture then swap back while hitting slice and dice, get one more garrote up on original target into rupture. @@NovaWarcraft nice and do you hold cooldowns till one of them is taking increased damage? Also with rupture does it matter how many combo points are utilized?
