Go Jackets! To HELL With georgia! Philo: Great player. Young so needs to not throw bullets every pass (or need receivers to him need to learn to adjust). Hate to burn the redshirt next week, but maybe a healthy King can get that next year.... Defense: tackling, again. Key (for all the haters): By all accounts, best team weve had in ten years and its ONLY his second season. Back to Back bowl games and winning seasons. HOP OFF! Whats the good word?
@@worldstallestdrummer UGA will simply stack the box if King is in. Philo gives the team the ability to throw the ball and he can still hand it off on run plays.
It worked last week lmfao. I do think they’ll have to be better about trickery with Haynes in, however. I really do believe he can hit medium passes. He zipped the screens out hard earlier in the game.
I'm so happy I got to be on sidelines for the Georgia Tech Blueprint yearbook for four games over the last two seasons (UNC 2023, Syracuse 2023, Miami, and NC State), definitely experiences I'll never forget as long as I live and experiencing the energy of Bobby Dodd these last few games have been nothing short of incredible, speaking as someone that started GT for undergrad right at the start of the Geoff Collins era. Def gonna miss this tons when I get out of GT next May haha
I was at that game! It was stupid cold. I was so happy for the defensive performance. If we bring that Defence, and our offense steps it up, we have a chance to bring down Georgia.
The NC State running back cost in that game he should not have scored that touchdown. He should've taken a knee the one ran out of the clock and kick the field goal.
It’s hard to run the ball when NC State is daring them to throw the ball. Philo averaged 8 yards per pass and was the leading rusher to boot. It’s possible they should have game planned just having Philo throw it.
I don't put any blame on Philo for the pick in the endzone. It was somewhat of a risky throw, but you've had trouble scoring all night and he puts it right on the money. Singleton has to be ready for it. And yes, the kick at the end was very, very close. About 18 inches from being a hero.
We should have won this game by 14+. The drops were infuriating. We CANNOT have that against Uga. Our defense was great until the final few minutes, but Philo is that dude.
Don’t let the stats fool you. Our defense played great for the majority of the game against NC State. Our defense (especially against the run) just got tired towards the end because our offense can’t move the ball until the 4th quarter.
I agree that HK won't play unless in an emergency. Philo deserves to start for sure. Is Pyron injured? The way that game ended it almost felt like we lost.
It’s painfully obvious what we were going to do based on what QB we had on the field. But also, NC State really wanted to crash into the line to make sure we couldn’t run.
When HK was in the game NCS had 9 guys in the box with their safeties at 5-7 yards. Can't run against a 9 man box. They dropped to a single high safety with Philo in the game. NCS is very well coached.
The stadium 🏟 was quiet! We were all disappointed that the defense gave up such a big play. I stayed after people gave up on the Yellow Jackets! The ending was crazy! 🤪
Yea nothing against King at quarterback but if he can't throw the ball then I don't think we will see him against Georgia. Because I think Philo should get the start at quarterback and I like what I seen out of him since he has pretty much taken over the quarterback position
Philo is coming along great, but I see the value of giving him some in-game coaching, as well as distracting the defense. Next year we are legitimately going to have 2 quarterbacks that are ready. I’m already stressing about that.
Big game next week against the dawgs. Sadly I will miss almost all of it because I have a playoff game myself. With that being said I think we have a chance regardless of the QB situation. However, I do not know if we will win without Haynes King playing at 100 percent. As much as I like philo, he’s no Haynes king. We will see though. Maybe King plays and leads us to victory. This is one of the best shots Tech has had in awhile. Defense needs to show up and Faulkner needs to have a good game plan offensively. It’s gonna take a team effort. Go Jackets! THWg!!!
Haynes King should go ahead and get shoulder surgery to be able to start the season next year against Colorado in Boulder. Let Philo get much needed experience and let him redshirt next year. And he’ll be a redshirt sophomore with plenty of experience and he can be a 3 year starter.
That's why I asked my hypothetical last week about resting King against NCST, so he may be ready for UGAG. Even if we had a lesser chance to win I thought it wouldve been worth it. Hindsight, we would've been stronger without Haynes King playing at all last night. That's on coaching, we were already bowl eligible and it appears to me HK is in need of rest, recuperation and possibly surgery, who knows. They are not helping him by trotting him out there and I've thought he was damaged goods since Syracuse. Philo has been poised and looking like a vet all year, in hindsight, we may have left a few wins on the table this year because Haynes lobbied the staff into letting him "gut it out". Idk, that's my assertion, but he does NOT need to be out there against UGAG, but he probably will. Avery made a lot of big catches but THAT one drop was just a killer, hate it for him. Shout out to NCST for their game plan, they really shut down our run and came to play. They were a few feet wide on that kick and totally deserved the win had they made it. Defense was a mixed bag of big plays for us and for them, didnt seem consistent but maybe just need to credit the Pack for executing and pushing us around. The Pack's QB was clutch when they needed and unlike Cam Ward, used his internal clock to realize he could take off and get first downs. He will be a good one. Shout out to Philo and Stockton, they were clutch and kept us in the game. GT BARELY escaped and kept my undefeated @BDS prediction in tact. We have a great chance against the Mutts and IDK if they will be able to shut our run attack down like NCST did. Theyve struggled to cover the edge against our sweeps and outside mesh plays so who knows, maybe HK's contribution will be productive and keep the sticks moving against them. Our defense needs to T off and get pressure on Beck, it needs to be all gas high risk/reward calls. That type of approach maybe bit us at times last night but the alternative will be death by a thousand cuts. Go for it Tucci! Go Jackets THWG!
It shows progress. So yes, we are happy with 7 wins. Calm down lol 😂 I’m just sayn both of our main playmakers are still injured 🤕 Both of the Haynes boys need long term rest to get better. ❤️🩹 Oh yeah, btw Philo is going to be an absolute baller in the future.
@@beautyandthebeard0609 7 reg season wins is more than 6 regular season wins which is more than 5 regular season wins which is more than 3 regular season wins for several years. Winning is the name of the game. We can be concerned/want better while also being happy about winning more.

Philo needs to be in for every play until King gets well.
Woooooo BACK TO BACK WINNING RECORDS SINCE 13-14
Lord
We should stick with Philo. Two QB system does not work and is very predictable. Sending injured King is like losing a down
i think it works and is working better than just Philo

Man, NC State has a nice team. They came to play. But, GT and Philo was gutsy and clutch. Let’s rest up and get ready for The Puppydogs next week.

It _was_ cold out there last night. The cold changes things and it's good to give the team the opportunity to adapt.
King shoulder is ripped. Since game 2. Why is he out there.
Hell will freeze over before King sits out against georgia. I guarantee he’ll be there.
To HELL with georgia!
Been waiting for this to come out
It was rough. We should have played better….. BUT we WON!!!! 7-4 going to Athens… THWg. God bless Wrecktalk!!
LETS GOOOOOOOOOO. Good to finally meet you today wreck!
But Philo made that change at the end! Proud of that kid!
I don’t think Haynes is worse injury wise, it was freezing out there and everyone played worse because of it
Draft Kings has UGA as a 20.5 favorite against Tech. That just seems like free money I did not expect UGA to be favored that much!!!
I think UGA beats us by that, if we can't run the ball at all. And if WR drop passes.
Wild game @wreck and good stuff as always congrats on the win

How in the world did NC State stuff the run and Miami couldn’t?

Philo hit Avery Boyd right in the numbers. Aaron philo played very well.
