I had the privilege to go to Shanghai and stay there for a week. It immediately became my favorite place in the World. You can hang out on the street of Shanghai safely even at 3:00am as it is the safest city in the world. I had studied and lived in Shanghai for 20 years. Whenever I was in a bad mood, I went to the Bund alone and walk along the Huangpu River for an hour or two, and then all my troubles would disappear! Homesick again!
I often fish along these river side park in Shanghai at 10pm - 3 am, sometimes until the morning hours depending on the tide. I am more afraid of the security guard chasing me away rather than any criminal trying to rob me. SO far I haven't seen anything shady going on at night along these park.

The 480-meter Nort Bund Tower is now under construction. It will be the third tallest building in Shanghai. The design of the building is quite spectacular. A structure that looks like Ferris wheel capsules will be attached on one side of the building, allowing passengers to view the city from different heights and angles.

Your video certainly captures the dazzling glitz, but also reveals what I sense is still a harmonious society 和谐社会 -- considering the world as it is today. I visited in 2016 and I'll never forget walking along the waterfront while speed sketching and then I got asked by some people to do portraits of them on the spot. I was nervous but I must have done a good job because I got paid for them ~ 😅

I visited in 2016 and I'll never forget walking along the waterfront while speed sketching and then I got asked by some people to do portraits of them on the spot. I was nervous but I must have done a good job because I got paid for them ~ 😅
