Bro I feel that stolen vibe. At my church I remember I had an A Custom crash that I had brought to my church to use on the kit and after a while I just started leaving it there even though it was mine. And about 3 months later it got stolen and I never saw it again. Fortunately my worship pastor was nice enough to literally BUY another one. He payed the whole $219 and refused to let me pay him.
I use the same kit in maple burl finish and agree with you on the sound . That Maple/Walnut hybrid sound just can't be beat , lots of bottom , just right mids and highs with great attack . Fits all the styles of music i play from Rock to jazz and metal to hawaiian... my favorite kit.
Your kit sounds great. Recently picked up a new Saturn V with the now discontinued "Granite Sparkle" finish. Best looking and sounding kit I've ever had. Just the fact that you wanted to switch from the Collectors to the Saturn tells you how good the Saturn's are, especially when the Collectors kit probably cost over 2K more!
Thanks man :) Yeah same here. Could you make a tutorial for how to edit and record drum covers? Im a student still, so cant afford 4 cameras. I have a zoom camera and logic pro x.
I own a mapex voyager kit from what I’ve read it’s an intermediate kit but I disagree it’s got one of the fullest, loud sounds I’ve heard very underestimated it’s a kick ass kit and I love it I highly recommend it!!!!
Beautiful kit! I’ve got a Saturn V in black maple burl and a smaller armory kit in ultramarine. Love them both! Hard to beat the sound and quality for the price.
I have noticed that drumming at church is something so big, i wanna do like a summer camp or some youth camp for church drummers cause you might be in another state and we’re all a huge family. Kinda like high school friendship with some one i never met kind of thing 😅i dunno how to explain it, but we all special. Be blessed guys keep jamming.
Do you have a video of you tuning the Mapex Drum set?… I just bought a Mapex kit.. I’m using the the tune bot.. Also I have the Mapex Sledgehammer too !! So good man!
Out of 4 kits the Mapex Saturn Pro V's gets most recording time and use. They are a tad fatter fundamental and much warmer than typical maple kit, yet the attack and sustain is just uncanny. Crazy thing I've had them since '99 and hand lacquer finish looks new. Out of 9 snares and the 13" Black Panther is THE funk snare.
How do you compare Saturn's bass drum sound to a Starclassic's and DW's? I don't like Mapex bass drum sound much. Too "clicky" and short for my taste. That's fine for modern music but I prefer a classics. Not vintage, but classics (standard) always. What do you think? I need opinion from experienced drummer :)
I agree that the Saturn kit has a very focused kick, and the sizes contribute to that. I also have a starclassic performer and a DW collectors series. In my opinion, it’s easier to make a focused kick sound nice and round with head/beater choice, but it’s harder to get a super focused attack out of a kick that’s not as focused. For me, the Mapex is easier to work with, but if you dig the older, rounder sound, the Mapex may not be for you!
hello my brother, how are you? I am Gilberto here from Brazil and I want to congratulate him for the set that you use in the church, and also for playing in the church serving the Lord Jesus. God bless you.
i understand you love the kit and all, ...but to swap a dw kit for a mapex? 🤔🤔🤔😋😂👍🏼 rock on, brother.... and great...looking at that $300 deal you got on the one kit has me looking at drums on craigslist now...like i need more drums.... 😅
I also rate the Saturn far more highly than the Collectors havin owned both. The collectors is beautifully made and finished, but the actual sound is limited in terms of tuning range and I've never heard a Collectors bass drum sound I like. On pure sound quality, the Saturn is genuinely as good as it gets. Full, rich, deep tones across a fairly wide tuning range. Good on you friend, going with your ears over fashion.
@@mattbennett9467 and add to that the huge price difference between Collectors and Saturn's. I've played DW, think they're good drums and sound pretty good but still like the Saturn's sound better. Really can't go wrong with them.
I know what she talking about cause I watch her videos Then what time you had the Take your drum set down and leave mode away and play in a drip when Alexa come on
Man this was the BEST video I’ve seen all day today seriously!🔥🔥🔥

I absolutely love how the whole kit sounds especially both those snares...
Thanks!

Wendell Austria same!!!! Kit buddy!

Thanks! I love my Saturn Kit!
Really can't go wrong with that kit. Love it!
I bought the Saturn kit because of seeing your channel back in 2014. Best kit I have ever played, 10/10 will play again and again
Wow! That's awesome! It's definitely my favorite kit.
Thanks man :) Yeah same here. Could you make a tutorial for how to edit and record drum covers? Im a student still, so cant afford 4 cameras. I have a zoom camera and logic pro x.

I'm not even gonna lie... That purple sparkle looks SO 🔥🔥🔥
This makes me want this color kit...

Really beautiful finish this mapex kit
Ya I agree!
Beautiful kit!
Very nice Daniel! I'm going to switch my 14 & 16 floor toms and see how I like it.
Nice!! I love it
Very cool kits! That Mapex kit looks/sounds great!
i don´t know why mapex doesn´t get the love it deserves... they make great drums and hardware without asking a kidney for them...
Love Mapex and that color is sweet. I have the Mapex Armory in Photon Blue and it looks sick under lights but I still prefer that purple.
Sweet! That's a great kit!
Praying I get this kind of kit!!! You heavily influenced my decision on getting mapex
Mapex is my favorite Drum Company as well. Have a Raven kit. Been searching for a used Obsidian kit.
What color is that Mapex set? I have looked everywhere for that but you are the only place I have seen it. Thanks.
Dude that fill was so dope I just stumbled on this video and now I'm a fan 🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾
Yo! Welcome! Thanks for watching! Really appreciate that!
I just love MAPEX. I purchased my first kit: Mapex Armory "Transparent Walnut". Just wonderful sound and look.
Do you have a video of you tuning the Mapex Drum set?…
I just bought a Mapex kit.. I’m using the the tune bot..
Also I have the Mapex Sledgehammer too !! So good man!
Nice video! Great looking and sounding kit
That hammered snare look so crazy!!

Setup looks sooo sweet bro. Great video!
Mapex for the win!!!
Kit looks Awesome!
Thanks! I think so
Do you have any video that you used the mapex sledgehammer brass snare as your main snare?
Didn’t recognize you without the suit and tie at the beginning! Lol!
Hi Dan,
Question
is the CarMichael Throne a Regular for you??

Thanks for answer, man! It helps me much.
What a cool kit
Got the same kit in the natural finish. Love that shit
hello my brother, how are you? I am Gilberto here from Brazil and I want to congratulate him for the set that you use in the church, and also for playing in the church serving the Lord Jesus. God bless you.
Thank you!
Definitely historic!!
This church is so beautiful
Hi, hope you are having a good day. I have one question, what adhesive strips or pads do you use to hold the panels in place for your drum sheld?
What are the measurements on the short stack toms?
Are you using a Iphone or HD Camera for your VLOGs and nice kits you have. It's a bummer someone stole the Tama Kit.
I'm using a Canon G7X Mark II for my vlogging. I've got links to most everything I use in the description if you want to check it out!
nice kit!
Thanks for watching!
Beautiful Sanctuary sir
Amazing video! We all missed the Mapex!
But, what will happened with the church choir? Do they still have space in the stage?
Nice chops brother! Now you just need a Ludwig Classic Maple kit to finish off your collection ;-)
Appreciate it!
Does Mapex not offer this color anymore? I’m here in 2023 trying to find this color.
What did you use on the sledgehammer?
The new 64 cases do not have a clip.
What kind of mics do you have?
I have the new small 64 audio case, no clip unfortunately
bummer! Thanks!
What is The kick a 22” or 20”?
22
Where can I buy this kit?
Online, Guitar Center, anywhere drum kits are sold! lol
What drum mics?
Everything is linked in the description below!
Oh perfect, everything I need to buy for my church listed! Thanks.
That set up was fast
It has a clip
Your setup reminds me of Luke Holland’s setup
No clip on the new 64 cases
Booooo.. thanks for the info!
And overheads?
Everything is linked in the description below!
What's the name of this song? 10:30
Gabriel Lião friend of God
Have multiple kits in your arsenal is great. If you have time check out a a company called "Crush." Great sounding kit for under $1k.
Cool
i understand you love the kit and all, ...but to swap a dw kit for a mapex? 🤔🤔🤔😋😂👍🏼 rock on, brother....
and great...looking at that $300 deal you got on the one kit has me looking at drums on craigslist now...like i need more drums.... 😅
There are no dw kits left in my area, most are running Mapex now, with a few Yamaha.

I'd take that over my Pearl Reference
It’s my favorite kit honestly!
First time at this channel and video. First thing i noticed was your ear seems to have been ripped. OUCH.
Lol! Although over the years I've made up many outlandish stories about that, I was just born that way.
I know what she talking about cause I watch her videos Then what time you had the Take your drum set down and leave mode away and play in a drip when Alexa come on
I’m okay with the Mapex but the Yankees cap has to go 😂
Yooo. It's a Tauren Wells hat lol
Nice christians, stealing your kit ;)
I wish I was religious, churches have the sickest gear.
Only these types of churches(Big) invest in the instrument. Go to small ones, and there all beat up.
You should but dont be religious its all about the relationship you have with GOD so come join in our family brother!1
