And he just did Jenni Rivera recently too, forcing me to go back to the moment when she was here, and then the next moment...But Selena was gone before I had a chance to be amazed by her talent. I can only imagine what she could have done with more time.
Yo imagine of Selena and Michael Jackson ever got to perform together or collab, like in a live performance let’s say like the Super Bowl halftime show….they would have killed it just with their dance moves man. Such talents! RIP to both.
I watch her every day. That's no exaggeration. The world lost a great entertainer/singer, but most of all, we lost the best role model for our kids AND for ourselves. She is the true definition of class, style, sincerity, kindness & had an amazing work ethic. She stood by her beliefs, & never changed herself for anyone.
Selena is a Savage...She'll always remain an icon. There's not a day that goes by where I don't feel a sadness still after all of these years. Breaks my heart! 🌹💜
She was a huge Janet/Michael Jackson fan and even did part of the Rhythm Nation choreography in one performance of this song on the Tejano Music Awards.
It’s such a sad moment when you watch a Selena performance or listen to her songs, and realize you’re smiling the whole time, and then once it’s over you’re immediately reminded that she’s no longer with us. Way ahead of her time, and taken WAAAY before her time.
@Maria Don't forget humanitarian; helped set up Battered women's shelters and went into schools to help kids stay out of gangs and off of drugs and to stay in school.
I started watching these shuffle cutting shapes dance tutorial videos cause they look cool and modern, and Selena is doing them here in '92. Damn, she was SO talented, way ahead of her time.
Selena was the ultimate superstar. She was hands down, the best and a huge role model for the entire Hispanic community! That is why when it was announced that afternoon that was was killed, everyone across TEXAS stopped and cried. I wish everyone saw how talented she was. EVERY concert, had you dancing. Even the painful love songs brought tears. She was pure love, dancing to this beat kind of artist. Pure talent. Voice, body, smile, dance moves. Selena was going to explode on the music scene. And yes she did do the moon walk! She performed to “Billie Jean” at an awards show in the 80s!
'Dreaming of you' SELENA was thinking of Chris too but he couldn't make it to the studio to hear her sing it. After she died Chris couldn't listen to it for a long time. Very tragic that a person can take another person's life without a thought, esp someone like SELENA whose been there for YS and treated her like a Queen. YS had the world in her hands and blew it. Let her think about it as she rots away in prison. Her parole will be up in a few years. I pray they don't let her out. SELENA fans need to get in touched with the Texas governor and Legislatures to see that she's never set loose. This is not about forgiveness. This is about justice for a woman who was just living her life, had a family, a husband, a career, a future and it was taken away unnecessarily by a hateful, spiteful, jealous, obscessive individual. Rip Reina. We'll see you again. Heavenly pre bday. 💝😘🎈
Selena's dancing is so good in this performance I would have thought that she had been taking professional dance classes since she was a little girl if I did not know better. There are some musical stars with a natural ability to dance at the level of a professional dancer at times - Chris Brown, Janet and Michael Jackson, Usher, and of course Selena come to mind.
The more I look at her videos, I discover how amazing she was. It’s so painful to think she’s no longer here with us. Why!!!!!????? Selena was not only beyond talented but also the kindest and nicest person around. A beautiful human being. 😢💜💜💜💜
I'm in love with this woman all month I been just watching documentaries, music videos , reactions to Selena. She had it all . Jealousy is a disease I say that because of what happened. R.i.p Selena.
Selena's voice and singing it penetrated your heart and soul. I never knew of her to get to pay maybe see her in person but at least I get to enjoy seeing her now. God rest your soul sweetie. It's so sad someone you and your family loved and trusted could betray you and your family then kill you. RIP miss Selena.
We got cheated...it’s so unfair...a woman with that type of swag is once in a lifetime...this is not right her family and her fans we were cheated...RIP QUEEN 👑
I lived in south Texas when she and her band were really breaking records. Her dance moves and influence were of many genre's Latin Freestyle, R&B, 60's, 70's and of course Tejano.
I met her that year at San Antonio county fair. YES SHE MOONWALKED! I was mesmerized! She wasn’t that worldwide famous yet. She was talking to fans afterwards. I came home to Cali, talked about her for a while and that was that. She passed away in 95 and that slipped me 3 years later but THEN in 97 that movie came out and I put everything together and I WAS WRECKED FOR YEARS!! 😢😢😢😢😢still am🥺 Thank you for loving her....Keep Selena-ing!
IMHO the greatest performer who ever lived - for her passion, her artistry, outfits, music etc etc. She did feel every beat and I admire her dancing so much. This is one of my fave songs of hers. Check otut the NYC version of this she comes out on stage so relaxed and dances. You made me laugh today and I needed that! thank you! your reactions were priceless.
Selena was the total package. She had a great voice, could dance, designed her own outfits and was FINE. Very Sad she left this earth so young. She would've been 50 this year
SELENA QUINTANILLA forever the best she could sing dance, design clothes, humble and beautiful with the most beautiful body..Your reaction made me cry I miss her
Selena!! We want you BACK!!!! :sigh: She was such a beautiful and a remarkable person with amazing talent!! I'll die to see her live!! We miss you Selena!!! 💗❤😫
She would’ve been so much bigger if she was still alive!! Both in the Latin community and American side! What an icon!!! I’m sure she had Chris on her mind when she was singing this song lol she was in love 🥰
Selena was a superstar genius who was on course for conquering the entire world. Tejano music was merely her launching pad. This brilliant girl was so ahead of her time that it's taken the world 25 years to even begin to comprehend her greatness. There's no other word for this but genius. And she was a serial entrepreneur as well with plans to go global. She would've grown her name to a billion-dollar empire I believe if she'd stayed on course.
Just had a rough night, came home and saw that you had posted new videos reacting to Selena, my mood just got so much better 😁, thank you for this Jamel.
Her voice for toro relajo is so powerful including all her songs and one more request can you also react to YA NO it’s a rock song she sang in 1994 and it shows her singing it in the studio
'Ya No' was written by her husband Chris. According to his book 'To Selena With Love' SELENA would come into their studio at their home and sing some of his songs for him. Also Chris played 'Ya No' at the Lafleur festival a few years back before he was disinvited by the Dad. But that's another story. Lol
Thanks Jamal. I've been a big fan of Selena since mid 90's. We knew she was America Mexican, and Spanish (like mine) was not her first language. Selena spoke English as her primary language. Selena was an American girl, with dreams of being a cross over artist; singing in both English and Spanish. I grew up being American, Mexican, but our cultural influences were Mexican. My mother was from Guadalajara, and I was born in Mazatlan, after which my father who was German American, brought us to live in what became the Silicon Valley. It will always be sad that Selena was taken from her husband, her family, and all of us, her fan base. Such a horrible crime how Selena was killed, and there hasn't been anyone since, male or female, that could sing, dance, and be as creative as Selena with her clothing line. Selena was going to add a Makeup line for her fans as well, as back then, your average makeup counter only had, Dark, Tan, Medium, Lite, Porcelain. Now, we have Fenty, 35 shades, as well as other cosmetics. Selena was ahead of her time, yet to be seen again in the 21st century, so far. Thank you for sharing!!!!
Love Selena. Every time listen to her voice or see footage of her it's bittersweet... tragic how she passed, and so young. Always great seeing people giving her some love and attention
I am a day one Selena fan since before she even passed and I love that her legacy has lived on and continues to impact people!! I love watching your reaction videos and see how excited you get to watch The Queen!!!
Selena would have been the biggest star this world has ever known, she would have taken over the world if she lived to cross over into the English market! What was not to love about her, she was beautiful inside and out and her talent unlike any other. She would have been the biggest star. No doubt.
When the movie Selena was released in 1997. I went to watch it 10 times. I watched it with a lot of my friends, coworkers, and I went to watch it by myself like 3 times. Every single time I can't help but to cry at the end. Although I know the ending, when I first watch the movie I get lost in the whole aspect of her and her family's life, the singing, the concerts, the readiness for success and then the ending just puts a knife thru my heart and I feel empty. I always wonder, if this is how I feel about it all, I can only imagine her family; I can only imagine.
The English version of this song does not mean the same thing in words as the Spanish version but I like it just as well. Media tagged Selena as the Mexican madana after she passed away but I ain’t never seen madana dance or performing like this just saying..
I have watched your reaction to this video numerous times and I swear, I laughed just as hard as the first time seeing your reaction to her moon walk🤣 that's our versatile queen🕺💃 she's our Michael Jackson 🙌🙌
❤💕❤I still sing to Selena...best of the 90's she was very talented and will eternally be remembered.....Best vocalist of the 80 please look up ANGELA CARRASCO from the DR, she was doing the whole best dressed and even that curl on the forehead thing before Selena. Look her up you won't regret it she had an angelic voice.💯👍

It's a shame that her talent is now being "rediscovered" and now people understand why Tejanos loved SELENA so much. She was the Total Package and she put it on display every time she went on stage. Many of us that were blessed enough to see her perform can attest to her talent. I'm 70 years old and enjoyed her then and still do now. One thing that made me emotional was the first time I saw her beautiful statue on the Ocean Front in Corpus Christi, Texas. Mind you it's a beautiful statue, but when my wife and I saw it for the first time, it was a cold and rainy day and my only thought was "SELENA is all by herself in this cold rain" . We've been there many times again, but I'm always reminded of that first cold and rainy day.
The more you learn about her, the harder it is to accept that she’s gone 😭
Danny Coronado totally agree
How old r u
That's so true it hurts.
And he just did Jenni Rivera recently too, forcing me to go back to the moment when she was here, and then the next moment...But Selena was gone before I had a chance to be amazed by her talent. I can only imagine what she could have done with more time.
absolutely true.
Her footwork was incredible. Natural talent, no backup dancers. Her dancing was as amazing as her singing. Queen Selena
Rebeca Stevens She was the real deal! The whole package. God rest her soul 💃🏽❤️😞
Well her backup singers were also backup dancers.
When watching a Selena performance you can’t even blink or you might miss the best part
Well said🙌

Yo imagine of Selena and Michael Jackson ever got to perform together or collab, like in a live performance let’s say like the Super Bowl halftime show….they would have killed it just with their dance moves man. Such talents! RIP to both.
Those moves were effortless just came natural to her.

She was the female Michael Jackson so much talent. Singing & dancing, felt every beat and sound throughout her body.
She really was. So much talent and no dance lessons naturally talented. You can feel the love of music coming out of her! 💕💕💕
I effing agree!! She had so much soul
The way you got shook when she moonwalks and you realize she was WAY ahead of her time. Yup. We’ve all felt that.
