After doing a renovation of a big old Holdsworth, I found out that even though the frame was rusty, it was still "strong". The general strength of the frame didn't seem to be affected. A bigger worry was the condition of the b/b threads. The shells had a lot of play when I screwed them in. I think that this might be the decisive thing for many renovations ie, how bad do the b/b threads look? What do people think? Nice video!
I'm thinking of starting to restore bikes but don't know that much about bikes and a bit worried about ordering parts and getting the right sizes. Do you got any informative videos on this?
@@CycleFields My question is whether the frame is still strong. The rust would make me worry about its strength. I renovate old bikes as well. You did a beautiful job!
Sangat worth it mas. Saya mau beli belum sempet2. Selalu andelin tukang las deket rumah. Panas itu merontokan karat jd gosong. Caranya panasin 1 mnit, lalu segera celup ke air, atau diguyur. Nnt karatny jadi abu gosong item.
Plus: securing critical joints with solder touch-up Minus: inefficient methods of cleanup and rust removal, paint straight on rust. Also cheapest possible components, and is that the old bent up dropbar just painted??
Nice job. I do have a suggestion though. When you wrap the handle bars, you are starting from the wrong end. If you start the wrap from where you have the black tape, and wrap the other way, the plug in the end of the handle bars will keep the wrap from coming loose. No need for black tape then. ua-cam.com/video/3rJkBXSxvh8/v-deo.html
@@CycleFields fair enough. My personal opinion: never resticker a bike to a brand that it's not. There are many fake bikes out there, and many buyers are deceived when buying fake items. If you want a Nagasawa, pay for one. If you can't afford it, be happy with whatever brand is on the bike. I've had Colnago Masters, Pinarello Montello and Merckx Corsa, and I've seen too many bike frames with Colnago on the down tube while it's clear they don't have any pantographics proving it's a real Colnago. Ps: you did a good job restoring.
Класссс!!!! Подскажите какой фирмы передняя звездочка и шатуны?
Beautiful bike restoration best I have seen rusted up scrap to shop bike amazing

Colors aren't my favorite but, it's a beautiful rescue you made to that 'almost lost' piece of jewelry.
