@@bigacreations About to record a joint now. Will try it. But I'm so used to my vocal chain. Gotta force myself when I mix tomorrow Collab on a joint on of these days
@@kaysha I agree. I do it all the time in my free time. But when I’m in my professional workflow I stick to what I know works for me. I had to delete tons of plugins I bought because I learned having endless emulations slows down my decision making process as an engineer. I kept thinking I had to have all the tools the “greats” were using and fell into the plugin marketing trap. But it’s always great to try new things to see if it’s a game changer for your workflow.
I wanted to ask Do you record your vocals first than add all your plug ins ? Or do you have you vocal already on there than record your vocals. Also do you put the chain on the main Channel or on a bus ? Thank you
OHHH by the way my last ranting comment was before I watched the whole video and HELL YESSS That Magma BB Tubes is FLAMEEEEESSS!! I been using it on my mix busses a ton it's definitely one of the best saturation plugins I've ever used before on my 808's, Vocals, Drums, even on my Submix!!! I'm gonna check out those RX plugins too!! And using the SSL Strip is amazing as well that's what tells everyone that you know what you're doing because if you're not using graphical plugins much them you become a better mixing engineer because these analog modelled plugins actually make you use your ears instead of tricking the ear with your eyes! I've been a DIY Recording Artist / Producer for over 16 years and I'm literally just now learning how using hardware modelled non spectrum plugins can really up your game as far as mixing goes.. I tend to use graphical stuff for more surgical stuff but the best sounding records came from when engineers used their ears is my philosophy...
I'm glad I'm beginning to understand more of what you're talking about, musically and linguistically. You don't use a pop filter when you record your vocals? Do you insert a compressor when recording? Sorry if you've already mentioned that in previous videos..
Thiis is exactly what I needed to watch to get motivated to create some stuff tonight here in my bedroom studio so thank you!!! I'm definitely gonna modify my own vocal chain after this forsure!! The only thing I wanted to say to you for consideration from an independent artist to independent artist that I highly recommend is to not release to Spotify anymore but with every other streaming service for future releases. Respectfully, I only say this because you're very much a talented creative and I noticed that's the only platform that you said to check out your music which is literally the worstttt streaming platform by far that are robbing singer-songwriters, artists & producers of the royalties that are very much due to us, especially for us independent artists & all of the hard work that goes into our releases.. In NO WAY shape or form am I trying to tell you how and where to release your music to but I do want to wake up my fellow creatives of the horrible cons of this platform that hosts our music & compensates us next to nothing even if you have tons of fans following on Spotify & putting up numbers from editorial playlists & more. The only artists that're winning from Spotify are the signed artists that have a huge backing like Universal or another major label so they keep raising prices for subs, literally creating fake AI artists that they personally place on their editorial playlists to be able to generate royalties back to them from streams & sooooo much more controversial shit you wouldn't believe.. If we one by one stop releasing to them then they lose, The Founder of Spotify even started the business by pirating everyone's music from labels to then upload their music illegally to Spotify to launch. I hate to rant about it but shouting out the one service to check out your amazing music at that's literally stealing from you and tons of other hard working artists is unrealllllll... No need to take your music down from them just leave what's out on there already and uncheck their store for future releases is all.. I would also recommend selling music on Bandcamp & another company called "EVEN" which is direct to consumer as well, that way you could make an insane income to live off of your music and can sell your merch on both platforms also.. That's what I would do if I was creeping up on nearly 90K subscribers on UA-cam, make amazing content & music and get rich in the process!!! 😅😅😅😁😁🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿
Me lo mandaron pero no me pidieron hacer un vídeo ni hablar de él. Un sponsor es uno que colabora contigo o realmente patrocina tu contenido. A mi nada más me lo mandaron de regalo y ya. Gracias por ver mis vídeos!
I find it difficult to work in a cluttered or unorganized space, so I try my best to keep it clean and minimal :) No, not Albanian. I’m American but of Venezuelan parents :)
Good writing, you got something in that heart that shines through your lyrics. Keep it up, thanks for sharing your gifts.
Another great video.
I bought R Vox years ago and still didn't try it in my chain. Too used to my usual one 😊

3 compressors in ya vocal chain? Interesting......what interface are you using if you don't mind?
Yup! Serial compression makes a big difference with vocals imo. I’m using the Apollo twin interface. Thanks for watching!!
@@bigacreationsinstead of parallel compression or..?
@@bigacreations Wait a minute. So your not using UNISON pre amps in UAD console?
Newbie question: when recording / mixing vocals, have you bounced the instrumental tracks down first?
