Yes, I'm totally with you, Tom. When you travel alone, you can do whatever you want. One road looks more fun than what Maps suggests, so you drive it. You feel like sitting on your bike all day and only getting off to refuel, no problem. But sometimes you want to have friends with you to share experiences and have fun. And by the way "someone has dropped a noodle and made a road" was a good one. Maybe a reference on Europe?
This is why I love my 82 Honda VF 750. It's got shaft drive and sidecar with a 42 litre fuel tank in the chair with plenty of room for my gear. No worries about dropping it, having to adjust the chain or running out of fuel. It's great but when these tyres wear out and it gets a set of 70/30 knobbies, for me, it will be the perfect adventure bike. The ACT was placed there to stop arguments between NSW and VIC as to were it should be as they both said the federal parliament should be in their state.
With Victoria having much worse covid restrictions than even we did under Taxinda, I was surprised to hear some praise for Dan Andrews with the level crossing removals. Less level crossings are a worthwhile safety improvement. Anthony
@21:45 This is a prime example of the differences between cagers and motorcyclists. We will stop or at least slow down appropriately to take in the views. We are so much more apart of the scenery and appreciate of the good things in life. Lovely
I’ve learnt to ignore that fuel gauge and just go off distance and how I’m riding. So inaccurate. You start stressing so you find the first servo and fill up and find out you’ve still got 9 litres in there.
Hey Tom, Looked like you enjoyed your adventure up to Sydney... I laughed when you got to Brendon's house... you had my UA-cam video up on the big screen (from my last ride). Looking forward to seeing where you go for Brendon's secret camping spots. BP
You guys a fan of Hardy. It took a minute to pick out the first song I heard when Brendon was sitting on the floor. Sounded like “Jim bob” but that was after I picked up the second song when you were doing the chain.
I was very impressed with the super tenere 1200 or whatever it is. 1200 or 1250 when I test rode one in 2019. It was just a demo truck one so we did 5-6 miles on-road. But I was messing with the dash and the trip gauge was at about 1100 miles. So over 1000 miles of test rides, it was averaging 42mpg. I can only imagine how the “700” would be. I was thinking about getting a tenere, but I had owned a MT09 in 2014-2017 and I just wouldn’t get past it since I commute 99% of the time I am on my bike. So when the time was right, I bought another MT09.
I feel you on the freeway riding Tom. Can't stand it either, would rather ride through suburbs or dirt or anywhere else than sit at one speed for hours on end.
If its anything like its road going variant the MT07 a slacker than normal chain is just how it was designed. The dealer always assured me its just how it was made to be... Not quite the greatest answer but haha I didn't have any issues.

Your video of YAMAHA TENERE WORLD RAID 6 DAY SOLO ADVENTURE! Day 2 - 23 Litre Tank and I run out of Fuel!? is amazing. I love your video, thanks for sharing.🥰
Did the Barry Way first on Kawasaki GPz900 next on 89 Harley Heritage. Challenging both times but great. Bought bread at Suggan Buggan and shopkeeper took out 4 slices for his brekky! He had a visitor’s book and we were first people in 4 days when Japanese tourists came in😊
That gas pour was a clear illustration of how much whiskey was had 😂

That fuel pour made me laugh! Love these vidz mate!
I think the T7 could take out a brumby!
Yay a 6006 engine and in yellow!
The accuracy of the gas pour goes down as whiskey consumption goes up 🤣

Love your bike man!!! I am a year in with my training bike🤣, and I’ve been looking for these kind of bikes❤️🙏

Yeah Hume hwy is a drag, good if you have time to bypass it.
You've been to bald Hill before as well 😉 meet you there on that ride with Adjrian Nickelodeon (I think when you came up on your s1000)
I thought it was familiar!
Good thing nobody was smoking a stogie during that fuel transfer.
On ya Tom
Daryl Braithwaite moment with wild horses...
Level crossings suck, so does Daniel Andrews.

Complains of low fuel while also ringing the throttle. Lol
I don't know why, but your footage video quality looks poor even on 4k
You lost me at Dictator Dan
We can agree at least level crossings removal was a good idea!
Frick those lock out though
