  • In this video i am going to convert Philips Bahadur Radio into a cordless radio using 18650 batteries from Intex power bank and tp4056 charging module.
After this you don't have to buy regular batteries that wont last long. Li-polymer batteries are rechargeable and are easy to connect.

*Is it still working? as u hav added 3.8v battery supply in the place of 3v supply which may burn the ICs!* 🔥

Good work for using lithium ion battery charger module. Without this battery could have been damaged. 👍

    good work
    is it still working?
one doubt its using IC Si 4825a10 which supports input voltage 2 to 3.5 volt only
when we give 3.7-4.2 volt fully charged 18650 battery will the ic burn?

Will this module protect the batteries from over discharge?

You could see always polarity and voltage not beyond 4v, because this radio is built around 3v DC so max. This much knowledge one must have. Anyway shall inform ic no. Later.

You may share your email, I can send you hand drawn schematic for protection of your radio or whatever equipment. First is Reverse polarity protection and 2nd over voltage protection beyond specified voltage for your equipment.

      Dear Sachin,
It is CD2003GB 16 pin DIP smd IC. In built AM/FM ic with very less outside components.

@@pradeepkumarpanda7626 I bought this for my father in 2017. It is still working. Never applied Adaptor. Coils are inbuilt. Better replace IC first. Then rest to thin about. It has good reception in all Bands.

akshya panda. The previous one had IFTs, coils and trimmers. Did Philips make it a DSP radio? Then ic was CD 2003, US technology made in China. Now they must have used a DSP ic programmed for specific stations.
