Nice to see our local stomping grounds. Nothing like a Florida summertime downpour - we just had one last Tuesday that lead to me pumping almost 300 gallons from the pool. I think I mentioned it to you guys earlier, but the money's been approved by Cocoa city council to rebuild the dinghy docks near your prefered anchorage. Hoping that enough will be done before the 2020 migration season. We're headed south to St Lucie in two weeks. They've just started dredging the Crossroads - lots of shoaling on the AICW approach from the north.
One docking technique I use in bad weather with questionable dock hands is this..... I have them tie the aft running spring line first. The pivot the boat and you can leave it in gear just sitting there (port forward starboard reverse) and tie all the lines you want and the boat will stay right there. Try it some time. My Hatteras doesnt have a bow thruster so I do this a lot
Thanks for another great video I've been following you guys since the beginning a little tip with the squeaky windshield wipers against the glass I did this on my 2016 Parker 2820 xld Rain-X and change your wiper blades to silicone instead of rubber it at least made a world of difference on my boat could barely even hear them once again thanks for another great video and safe travels
Well have to say your sound and Vid Quality is so much better its spot on now very watchable like the funny walk lol was some nice houses and boats at palm beach area I see thanks for sharing with us
Only a year into my boating experience and I never could have imagined it would be as great as it is......... thank you for the inspiration. Bahamas trip is scheduled for Christmas/New year's 2020/2021!
Love the videos! Nice change to the introductions where you give a brief summary as to what will happen. Camera work is always great. I look forward everyday to watching at least one segment. Keep them coming!
You were in Palm Beach Shores. When you walked from Sailfish to the beach on Edwards Lane, Walked past my old house built by a Philadelphian my father in 1954. Great little area there. I travel the ICW between Hobe Sound and Delray Beach mostly, enjoy your time here.
Consider getting a bodycam or a head mount for your GoPro to record those difficult times when you can't be bothered with recording and your hands are full. I'd love to see more of the actual docking and working aboard the boat. :)
When was this taped? We had our boat at Harbortown as well. Out boat is in your video lol! We were on the next dock and our boat is the third one in from the end (navy blue hull). I would have loved to meet you both! We are now in Stuart at Harborage Marina.
How were the currents going into Sailfish? We chose Riviera Beach City marina as base across from Peanut Island because the currents are less vicious. (Although can still be challenging at times) Next time you're in the area, let us know and we might be able to meet up. We're out in the Abacos right now, however. Bill Domb, Activated Eau.
We had no problems at Sailfish. The currents are strong but manageable. We had a harder time at Riviera last year. They put us all the way in, and it was a tight squeeze with the currents. At Sailfish they just throw us on a t-head. Enjoy the Abacos! Wish we were with you!
Well I did it . We are going to buy Fleming 65. Pending Servey We sold our Power Cat . The Fleming is 2011 . Powered by Cats Everything updated in 2017 We are in Steward Fl.
@@mrjlbarrett5556 I love Fleming's. That's a dream boat for me. I would get a 55 because of where I live. I love their classic design and build quality along with their capability.

How come you don't take the boat out in the open water you always stay in the intercoastalI thought you would have hit enough things to keep you out of there
On the way down, I noticed at least three, maybe four sunken or abandoned/sunken/beached boats. This looks like an ecological nightmare, with fuel, oil, propane gas, chemicals, batteries, etc., all exposed to seawater. What is Florida, the insurance companies, and owners doing to clean up these messes? Also, did you guys get the Eisenglass on the flybridge replaced yet? I hadn't see that.
That stretch, from Melbourne to Vero is still has derelict boats, but it's getting better. In March, Brevard county (northern part of that stretch) approved a $450,000 plan to remove derelict boats. Many of them are still around from Irma which hit back in 2017. It's an eyesore we locals know all too well.

It would be nice to have dinghy docks there. We are always worried because we just leave the dinghy on the side of the road.
Another great video, stay safe out there... Peace & Love
Thanks for watching!

We fixed the squeak and a future video. It was mostly the linkage needing oil. But I do plan to get RainX
Nice places to visit and lots of good food and drinks. Glad to see your having a great time. Happy sailing.

Thanks for watching. We are slowly getting better at producing the videos. It is always a balance of time versus quality.

We have stopped at Sailfish several times. That was the first time we walked to the beach. We did not have our bikes at the time so we did not go far.
Another great video. Nice to see true "reality tv" so to speak..:)

That was taped in the middle of May. I am very slow at getting these videos edited. However, we post in real time on our Facebook page.
Love seeing you kick back with those Martini's! Ever try Plymouth gin? One of my faves..
It is our go-to drink!
Toward the end were you emulating "the Minister of Silly Walks"?
It was a clever joke. The sign on the lamp post said "Edwards Crossing".
Yes, I was. John Cleese to be specific.

Who's the third person on board?
Our friend Rachel. She was with us for the first two weeks, helping us with the overnight passages and some minor maintenance.
When you anchor out do you take turns standing watch?
No. We just set an alarm on my phone. There are anchoring apps that let you know if you moved.
What the name of the song that you use during the opening credits?
"Supernatural" Jesse Villa

No idea what is being done about the wrecks. Looks like nothing. We have not repaired the isinglass yet.

I'll have to go back and watch a few. I forget what we did differently.
